Food shopped has arrived and guess what’s missing?

What is missing from yours? And ..which shop was delivering it?
After getting a coveted delivery slot with Sainsbury’s, it has arrived and they have “lost “ the freezer food. FFS
No pigs in blankets, icecream, peas, pizza for a quick Xmas eve dinner with movie (amongst other stuff). Now have to trawl the bloody supermarket tomorrow. Exactly the reason I persevered with securing an online slot in october.
Now on hold for the helpline (15 minutes so far) to get a refund. Last Xmas shop with them for me. They fucked up last year too with. A long list of unavailable items received. This year, only a few replacements and it was looking good until the delivery arrived minus a crate or two.

Bloody hell. That's awful!

Oh no, I can see why that would put you off forever! I've used them for about 18 months (Sainsbury's before) and generally happy with them. I do think the shopping has got expensive but it's expensive everywhere!

@buttonousmaximous I've given up trying to get turkey gravy delivered after years of it never being available, I do it in the festive food to order now!

Turkey gravy was substituted (fresh for bisto 😆) on mine. I am starting to relax a bit now, after reading some of these. Plus DH has listed more items that “would be nice while you are there” 😭

I ordered some bread on mine - just plain old bread, nothing fancy - just a loaf for the freezer for easy breakfasts just in case. Not available - no suitable substitution available - Tesco 🤣

I dunno - the whisky would have got you through it I reckon 😂

This annoys me so much! My bread was missing and not substituted as there was apparently nothing available. No loaf of bread at all in the whole shop?!

I was in my local m and s at lunchtime today. There was loads of food there, including turkeys, pigs in blankets and stuffing and it wasn't ridiculously busy. I wouldn't worry, there will be plenty left in the supermarkets

Mine arrived on Friday - everything there and no subs - very impressed with Sainsburys - off shopping tomorrow for last minute bits and collecting my M&S order

Ocado apparently had no lemons🙄

Bit strange but I can live without them, everything else arrived.

What a pain! I did click and collects but have stopped, far too many instances of items being unavailable and then walking into the store to find the “unavailable” items.

£300 Ocado shop today, only thing not available was Pringles, two substitution which were acceptable. Ocado have never let me down.

Waitrose. 1 missing item - gluten free crackers.

OK, they took the

Gluten free Christmas cake
Gluten free Panettone
Gluten free ITSU crispy rolls
Gluten free Christmas pudding
Gluten free bread
Gluten free mincemeat
Gluten free pastry

all out before delivery, but they managed to deliver the rest.

No subs today from Tesco. The delivery guy even refunded me for some packs of sausagemeat stuffing that had been flagged as going out of date on 24th. It would never have occurred to me to be bothered about it - would just have shoved them in the freezer anyway.

Booked a last minute Tesco slot last night. Everything there today except a cream substitution of a different cream. All good!

I think I must have them all, I somehow ordered 18 lemons and 5 limes from Ocado, delivered today.

Unless you really, genuinely can't make the space,just order all the meat stuff early and freeze.you can even freeze par bolted spuds and cooked red cabbage and just re-heat. So much easier!!

Shortbread is missing from mine (Ocado). The Christmassy stuff in the nice tin.

Bit sad about that and kicking myself I didn't get it earlier.

No substitutions in my Tesco delivery, hooray. The poor driver got a bit lost en route though.

maybe I should have a drink, I seem to have a touch of manic brain this evening.

My Sainsbury's order today was just missing roast potatoes. I'll have to go out tomorrow for some fresh veg from the local greengrocer but that's about all I think.
