I get £30. It's better than nothing and I'm grateful 🙏 usually get wine for Christmas with it.

Absolutely nothing! Not even a bottle of wine.

coxesorangepippin · 20/12/2024 02:35

We get our bonus in April

We usually get a Christmas present, but didn't this year

(Weeps)

iamnotalemon · 20/12/2024 02:40

Around $12,000.

Andera · 20/12/2024 02:49

I'm a freelancer, I get a bonus of $300 from one long term client I'm retained by, occasionally the odd festive overpayment from other clients.

In a previous life, I used to get a bonus of around $5000 and cases of wine, flowers, jewellery, etc. but the job hollowed me out and I'm relieved every day that it's no longer my life, despite the trappings.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 20/12/2024 04:10

Contractually 7.5% of salary. In April though.

Natsku · 20/12/2024 04:13

Pretty sure our Christmas party was our bonus but it was a very good party.

HelpMeGetThrough · 20/12/2024 04:47

For years we did get a bonus at Christmas.

Now been bought out by an aggressive US private equity organisation, so the bonus this year for those still there is your job, until they start that madness again next year.

The rate they are going, there'll be nobody left.

User19876536484 · 20/12/2024 05:06

No, they aren’t a thing in my industry. We used to get a Christmas card but that stopped a while ago. Just a “Happy Christmas” email now.

BCBird · 20/12/2024 05:09

Nope.

isthismylifenow · 20/12/2024 05:14

A 13th cheque is usual here.

I'm self employed though so just take what I need as extra.

NigelAdjacent · 20/12/2024 05:20

A 13th paycheque but in my workplace it’s split evenly between the other 12 ones so I never actually notice it and just merrily spend it without notification. Really I should do something about that.

Needachange02 · 20/12/2024 05:34

I work in local government so no. We don’t have use our flexi time for the team’s Christmas lunch though.

pilates · 20/12/2024 05:48

No, a paid Christmas meal and a bottle.

Crocsforlife · 20/12/2024 05:52

£500 and a bottle of booze.

cariadlet · 20/12/2024 05:56

I'm a teacher so no bonus. I had a couple of jobs in the private sector before teaching and didn't have bonuses there either.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 20/12/2024 05:57

In Denmark we pretty much all get presents from our employers. They can give something up to the value of 500kr (50 quid) before any tax is involved so that's what we get. This year I got 2 royal Copenhagen mugs.

ParentsTrapped · 20/12/2024 06:00

Absolutely nothing!

Mishmashs · 20/12/2024 06:02

Everyone in the company, from juniors to directors gets £300.

MissRachelismycoparent · 20/12/2024 06:03

We get to finish at 2 on Christmas Eve as a bonus

EveryDayisFriday · 20/12/2024 06:04

£1500, more like £950 after tax. It pays for Xmas which is great.

Microgal · 20/12/2024 06:22

We get a nice hamper, our bonus of 8% is in April

Iamme2023 · 20/12/2024 06:26

NHS so nothing here although the amazing families are giving chocolates and biscuits

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 20/12/2024 06:27

We give our 3 employees 2 weeks extra wages in December and again in June.
They deserve it.

TempuraCustard · 20/12/2024 06:27

No but I'm cool with that

NoWordForFluffy · 20/12/2024 06:29

We got £20 to choose a voucher with. It's better than a kick in the teeth!
