Apricot filled milk chocolate liebkuchen hearts from Lidl. Dark chocolate gingers. Extra special florentines from Aldi. Very merry munch from m and s. Strawberry and some pistachio lindor balls with a mixed box thrown in for variety. Dancake rum balls in 3 flavours.

SulkySeagull · 14/10/2024 17:21

Cheeslets (the Xmas tree shaped cheese crackers) so so delicious

Fairyliz · 14/10/2024 17:30

I’ve bought Baileys does that count as a snack?

Oblomov24 · 14/10/2024 17:32

Oh I love Xmas trees!

dontforgetme · 14/10/2024 17:32

I haven't started yet as I'm a greedy bitch and would eat the lot Grin

I cannot wait to sit in front of the tv with a brew, the Christmas tree lights on and my hands in the tub of celebrations!!

familyissues12345 · 14/10/2024 17:36

Bugger all, as I'd eat the lot before December!!

I will start getting a few bits mid November ish. Last year I bought -

Nice crackers
Christmas animals (Cadbury)
Gingerbread
Chocolates for my sweet bowl

Week before Christmas we go and buy loads of cheeeeesssseeee!!

familyissues12345 · 14/10/2024 17:37

Oh and I'm eyeing up baileys chocolate - even though I'm pretty much tee total Grin

mitogoshigg · 14/10/2024 17:42

They wouldn't make it out of October. We ate the Christmas pudding I bought (grabbed it as it was vegan for my db)

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 14/10/2024 17:43

jmh740 · 14/10/2024 17:43

Nothing yet as I have no willpower!

Openmouthinsertfood · 14/10/2024 17:55

I have some stashed away but it's nearly all for others!😂I have chocolate coins for everyone, selection boxes, Terry's Chocolate Oranges, chocolate advent calendars (Bit of a chocolate theme there!). For me I have been stocking up on Pepsi Max, and for the day it self, 2 bottles of Shloer. I need to get a nice white chocolate hamper for a relative as a gift but haven't found a suitable one yet.

rosydreams · 14/10/2024 18:02

hmm i have tried this before and we either end up with to much or it gets eaten.Personally on the big christmas shop i tell each of the children you may pick any 3 christmas snacks to eat over the festive period within reason. That way everyone gets something they want without going over the top .ME and my other half may pick up a few bits sooner when we do the presents shop like get a tin of shortbread or something nice from m&s

1957Denise · 14/10/2024 18:10

Nowt! would be too tempting !

Will start at beginning of December - can’t wait!

Where did you get the rum balls from? I bloody love them and nowhere seems to stock them any more.

WitchyBits · 14/10/2024 18:16

@PinkArt

Iceland always seem to have them at this time of the year and I’ve had no issues getting all 3 flavours. I stock up and try to squirrel stash them in several places so I don’t eat them all at once.

Sadly me neither. I never get anything until mid December then I have a big Xmas treats shop.

Lindy2 · 14/10/2024 18:42

I bought some florentines but I ate them. ☺️

They were nice though. I have no regrets.

Yes, absolutely. I don't buy Christmas anything before December though.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/10/2024 18:57

So far-

last years Christmas pudding ..or might be the year before ! Still in there
Lemon panettonne 1 large , 1 mini . The small one will get eaten in November
Waitrose lemon curd
I ordered some Hotel Chocolat , some for the DC and some for me , I love chocolate marzipan but rarely eat chocolate now so look forward to it
Fentimans ginger beer
Aperol for DD, soda and prosecco

I'll buy the rest in November/December or it'll get eaten.

TripleCarber · 14/10/2024 19:03

We’ve only got two big tins of quality street so far. Usually we have more stashed by now, but I’ve been concentrating on presents and we’re 90% done now so can start stocking the food up this month.

on my list to add on to this weeks food shop:

caramelised onion chutney
3x pigs in blankets for the freezer
2x stuffing mix
Christmas flavour crisps

Ha, same!

DD2 and I were in Tesco salivating in the Christmas snack aisle! 😂 There were loads of new things in that we can't wait to try!

ChewbaccasMrs · 14/10/2024 19:30

So far we've only bought a couple of boxes of mint match makers and some After eight mints and elizabeth Shaw mints because we've been concentrating on getting the stockings done(I have 8 of them to do)and picking up presents.

Hopefully I'll have most of the present shoping down by the middle of November and then I can go and buy the Christmas food and drinks goodies.

MoneyAndPercentages · 14/10/2024 19:37

So far I've got:

Chocolate coins for the stockings
Terrys chocolate orange minis - the popping candy ones
Marzipan fruits 😋
Lindt reindeers x8 (stockings!)
A 'proper' tin of heroes. Not the plasticy half sized nonsense :P

Basically the stuff I know might sell out. Don't trust myself with anything I know I could replace 😂

frijolito · 14/10/2024 19:42

I’ve just got in some dark chocolate covered ginger, maple brazils, orangettes and some mini Lebkuchen. The Lebkuchen might have been a replacement for a bag we polished off already
Very tempted to get some marrons glacés as well but not sure they will survive until Christmas and they are pricy!

WonderingWanda · 14/10/2024 19:45

I think mine will have to go in the loft or I will eat it.
