I’ve bought Baileys does that count as a snack?

Ours comes tomorrow, together with the Port.

I am 100% sure I have to re-stock in 2 months.

We buy lots of Stollen and Lebkuchen in November, then chocolates for the tree and to eat at Christmas. During Advent it's mainly biscuits and mince pies I bake. DD will get a Quality Street tin.

OrangeCorduroy · 15/10/2024 18:16

I have a cinnamon bun panettone from Waitrose 😀

Topbird29 · 15/10/2024 18:58

Got some bits for stockings like choc oranges (the mint and toffee crunch as couldn't find those nearer xmas last year), some different flavoured boxes of lindt balls as on offer, and some xmas shaped pretzels from aldi. Will start getting other bits in the weekly shop now...

Topbird29 · 15/10/2024 18:58

But...I refuse to eat a mince pie until December!!

HyggeTyggeDotCom · 16/10/2024 11:26

Salivating at this thread!

so far I just have a couple of cute tins of fudge 😂 an m&s train and a home bargains carousel - this one plays music too. We have a little novelty tin collection and I love having them under the tree until the presents get delivered on Christmas Eve!

PinkArt · 16/10/2024 16:48

My Iceland has Dan Cakes again! @WitchyBits is officially my Christmas elf. Clearly they won't last until anywhere near Christmas but that's now my answer, I have assorted Dan Cakes on my Christmas snack shelf and am thrilled.

Elephanttrunk · 16/10/2024 18:15

I have bought a bag of Maple Peanut Fudge mix from Home Bargains and Speculoos popcorn from Tesco. I'll need to put them somewhere I'll forget about them!

I bought some florentines but I ate them. ☺️

They were nice though. I have no regrets.

Oh god are the Aldi florentines out??? I always fall when they appear! Even though I don't like white chocolate I manage to scoff the white ones in that box! Need to stay away from Aldi!!

StepawayfromtheLindors · 17/10/2024 23:46

I bought one item and…(see username)

HappyDane · 18/10/2024 09:12

We picked up the bulk of ours on a whim the other day, from Aldi.

1 bag Pigs in blankets crisps
Mini cheese straws
Clotted cream fudge
Turkish delight - pomegranate
Turkish delight - lemon and rose
Belgian cocoa truffles x 2
Nocciola (similar to Fererro Rocher) x 3
Chocolate, Classic selection
Chocolate, Dessert selection
Nougat - Almond and hazelnut
Nougat - Pistachio

We likely won't need much more than that. I'll order a few Scandinavian treats closer to the time and we'll get a biscuit selection box from Rington's. Several types of crackers. Other than that we will bake our own, and make confectionary with chocolate, marzipan and nougat. We also make our own chutney.

Blinn · 18/10/2024 09:14

Two tins of Mand S munch mix
Lots of nuts
Lidl lebuchken and nougat
Turkish delight

Mumwithbaggage · 18/10/2024 09:51

Baileys. But we drank it.

Shufflebumnessie · 18/10/2024 11:16

I did have a box of Whitakers coffee creams in the drawer. However, my willpower was not strong enough!!!!!

HelterSkelter224 · 18/10/2024 11:28

A Christmas snack cupboard would be dangerous in this house. We'd just eat the whole lot at once!

HelterSkelter224 · 18/10/2024 11:29

Although I am due a baby just before Christmas so I will be indulging in a nice bottle of wine and some very mouldy cheese, smoked salmon, pâté etc. 😋

Donsyb · 18/10/2024 11:38

Had some vouchers to use at the garden centre so got these - can’t wait to open them! We don’t usually have biscuits in the house, so it’s a Christmas treat!

Crikeyalmighty · 18/10/2024 12:25

Nothing at all- I don't buy a thing till last week in November

LadyKenya · 18/10/2024 12:35

I have a box of Divine After Dinner mint chocolate thins, that I am slowly working my way through. I will order some more soon. Other than those, I have nothing else.

52crumblesofautumn · 18/10/2024 14:02

Gingerbread mulled wine? I'm off to get some of that!

I have Belgian choc truffles hidden too, M&S peppermint bark, and a couple of packets of lebkucken. Also the M&S 3 packs of hot chocolate bombes the kids are addicted to at Christmas.

Only just ramping up!

Rainbow1901 · 18/10/2024 14:19

So far - Celebrations
Quality Street
Matchmakers
Roses

We have also started sampling the different Mince Pies - has to be done on the grounds of quality control!! As soon as they appear in the shops!! 😋

Starlight40 · 18/10/2024 18:04

I have some After Eight mints, a Terry’s chocolate orange but just milk chocolate, some snowy chocolate fingers and some J20s.

SparklyLimeJoker · 18/10/2024 19:20

A tub of Celebrations
Kitkat mini festive friends
2 tubes Pringles
A jar of Nutella
M&S small tin of shortbread
M&S frozen croissants in the freezer ready for Christmas day breakfast

That's me all finished 🙂

MinnieMountain · 18/10/2024 19:33

@Rainbow1901 mince pie reviews so far?

Normally I don’t get anything until December but I got some marzipan Lebkuchen squares from Lidl on Wednesday. They’re my absolute favourite.

Iceland? Not bad for starters but not buttery enough!! Another couple of brews to finish these off and then pot luck where we go next!! Depends whose selling them.
I actually heard my first christmas music in One Beyond store in town on Tuesday!!

Maray1967 · 18/10/2024 21:33

I’ve already got:
Tubs of Heroes and Celebrations - I put them in a Christmas tin and chuck in the DCs’ favourite lindors as well
Cheeslet Christmas trees
M&S crisps - salt & black pepper , the mixed shape ones which we love

I also refill our personalised Quality Street tin at John Lewis which we’ve had for several years.

Nearer the time I’ll get bags of mixed nuts.
