Thanks @Felith for the title!

It was a toughie to pick the thread title this time!
Thanks to @RainbowZebraWarrior for the title Xmas Grin For those interested, our fate is best before June of next year and the offer was regarding Guylian choices at B&M.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Not Christmassy but looking for some recommendations as you all seem very good at it! Just wondering if anyone can recommend a face wash / cleanser for a teen boy just starting to get his first few spots.

Having given away my Lakeland codes, I now need a Lakeland code.

I had a really good one through the post, £10 off a £30 spend or something like that? If anyone has one I'd be very grateful if you could PM me to avoid the lurkers pinching it :)

Thanks for the new thread.
does anyone know if there are any JD codes floating around? Thanks

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 11/10/2024 10:05

I have a 20% off Disney store code if anyone needs it. Not sure what the terms of use are though but it doesn't seem to have a minimum spend.

There's a generic code on the website already but you have to spend £60 to use that one.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 11/10/2024 10:09

This was the silver mystery bundle I received - they seem beautiful quality, I’m really pleased!

Was this silver, silver2 or silver3 please? I’m thinking about ordering another bundle but don’t want a duplicate set!

herofreddie · 11/10/2024 10:31

The new Nigel Slater book, A Thousand Feasts, is down to £10 on Amazon from £20.

Morning all, do others with teen boys have a massive list of montirex/monterain to buy?! Seems to be the in thing. If anyone spots a bargain, please do share it!

@Restlessinthenorth Yes!! Also Trailberg! I got a few bargains on the Trailberg site, t-shirt and shorts set for £36, although the black is now back up to £45. Montirex has an outlet section and had some Ts reduced. I'm holding out for black Friday now, see how low any of those brands of tracksuits go!

Restlessinthenorth · 11/10/2024 10:47

@ImTheMidsomerMurderer bit unsure with the sizing on trailberg as my lad is 13 and they don't seem to do junior and not sure what XS men's will be like for size?

SweetPeaPods · 11/10/2024 10:50

Any LFC fans, there is 20% off the website for home kits and selected training bits. End Monday

SweetPeaPods · 11/10/2024 10:53

Do we think fifa25 will be cheapest Black Friday? I need it for switch and Xbox!

Montanna15 · 11/10/2024 10:59

@LovethewonderofChristmas where abouts where they in b&m I havnt seen them before. Thank you

Lidlisthebusiness · 11/10/2024 11:05

Squishmallows were on offer in B&M when I popped in yesterday. They had the large vacuum packed ones, only 2 designs, but they were only £10. The smaller, 8in ones were £6.99 I think. They also had a fab selection of Halloween and Christmas homeware, decorations and wrap out. It wasn't my local store, but I shall be defecting over to them for bit of an update to our usual bits!

Thank you for the studio link

MammaRoly · 11/10/2024 11:28

Shopping in RL this morning and picked up a mini black backpack in Primark, ticketed £10 but rang through as £5 at the till. I didn't see any sale tickets but pleased with this! Sorry I can't find on their website to link pic but about 10cm in length. (DD10 wanted something a bit less childish)

AmeliaEarache · 11/10/2024 11:30

Oh bugger, @IlovePond - now all attempts at budgeting will be undermined by wanting to buy everything in the Penhaligon sale.
