Thanks @Felith for the title!

It was a toughie to pick the thread title this time!
Thanks to @RainbowZebraWarrior for the title Xmas Grin For those interested, our fate is best before June of next year and the offer was regarding Guylian choices at B&M.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Hello! Does anyone have a National Trust autumn pass that they aren’t going to use please? Thank you!

JeanMarie · 18/10/2024 11:46

@friskybivalves I'm delighted you liked the shop. I'm actually just heading there now to help my son pick some candles for him to gift. I just know I'll come out with one for me. 😀 I find it nearly impossible to pick as they're all so beautiful.

I've sent you a PM with the code

Thanks for the heads up on the Solace Jewellery, I think I missed the original mystery bundle but there were £10 each mystery bundles when had a look and I picked up a silver 2 and Rose gold - really happy with what I received and don't want to give them away as gifts now

Just a small selection of the hot chocolate offerings in B&M today.

On that note, I don't eat gelatine, has anyone seen a hot chocolate bombe that has vegetarian marshmallows inside?

Failing that, hot chocolate toppers? Thin discs of chocolate that you put on top of the hot chocolate? Had them once, years ago, seem to remember they were a nice brand, but haven't seen any. B&M had chocolate and mallow ones, but no good to me. I'm just not so keen on the stirrers, and many have marshmallows in them anyway.

I'm sure I saw some in home bargains (chocolate topper disk)

Hi @Nearlyadoctor which one are you referring to? I’ve gone back through the thread but can’t see it (unless I am being blind which tbh is more than likely) thanks 🤭

Nearlyadoctor · 18/10/2024 13:47

In Valnette, can you combine the free diffuser on sign up with the free diffuser or candle for orders over £50?

I have in the past

Oops sorry that's wrong - I think it's just the x 1 free gift

siansattic · 18/10/2024 15:05

@JeanMarie Thanks for this! What a wonderful shop! The difficulty is choosing what to buy and then actually giving them away - they sound amazing.

NewtyCutey · 18/10/2024 16:04

Need to fill up this thread anyway...so, I'm another person asking please for an Argos code if there's one out there (spending around £60). Thanks!

Rubyroo73 · 18/10/2024 16:46

Thank you @elb1504 - just ordered for my teen daughter!

halloweenscat · 18/10/2024 17:53

Might be too late for some but BLC stacks with Tu clothes online (Sainsbury's) so 35% off in total.
