Thanks @Felith for the title!

It was a toughie to pick the thread title this time!
Thanks to @RainbowZebraWarrior for the title Xmas Grin For those interested, our fate is best before June of next year and the offer was regarding Guylian choices at B&M.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

FIRST25 worked for me, took 25% off, so one bundle delivered for less than £10 if that helps!

Thank you so much, I’ve just ordered a set for DD. Hopefully a nice stocking filled for her.

@Nc789123 - some people spotted Guylain in their local B&M for 79p. I dashed to my - not so - nearest branch and the boxes were £5.99! It was a blink and you missed it deal in some stores only 😿

I think the £5.99 was just a bigger box. It wasn't a price glitch or anything.

The 79p box only has 3 chocolates inside and is quite tiny.

i tried to used someone’s referral for laithwaites but it’s not taking anything off champagne. Is this normal? I couldn’t see it written anywhere as an exclusion.

I have had lots of problems getting codes to work on Laithwaites. What I will say is if you call them they are fantastic. If I order now I call them with my code and they place my order... As their website is utter sh*t

My son had that ark as a gift and loved it!

Tempted to get one for a friends baby but put off by postage just for that.

Thanks for sharing though. Great prices

Bumblebeesince19 · 11/10/2024 06:56

Morning lovelies,
I was wondering if anyone has spotted the lego bonsai tree for cheaper than £35?
My daughter wants to getnit for her teacher for christmas- but as between my kids there are 6 teachers I really don't want to be spending that kind of money on all of them. Happy to spend a tiny bit more on her teacher as he has had to put the work in but any cheaper would be great!!

Restlessinthenorth · 11/10/2024 06:58

Morning all, do others with teen boys have a massive list of montirex/monterain to buy?! Seems to be the in thing. If anyone spots a bargain, please do share it!

NotmySundaybest · 11/10/2024 07:07

Thanks for Solace mystery bundle - 3 pairs for under a tenner delivered. I have a teen dd and she has friends with birthdays coming up so I'm sure they'll be good gifts (and if not, I'll have them!).

RichPetunia · 11/10/2024 07:44

Thanks for the solace offer. I've just ordered two sets for Christmas.

sorryiasked · 11/10/2024 07:45

@Bumblebeesince19 could you get cherry blossom instead? £25 at argos.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 11/10/2024 07:47

Thanks @Reastie / checking in Grin

OatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 11/10/2024 07:49

Cult beauty have £20 off £100 but it’s not on everything. Includes the likes of Charlotte Tilbury etc.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 11/10/2024 07:54

Agree Laithwaites site is utter pants and yes, if you call they are very lovely and don't skip a beat when you are using a code Grin

I ordered in laws a Kew gift set of a bottle of red and a fizz in a lovely box with a tin lid which has holes punched in the top corners so would look lovely fasted to a fence in their garden later. That was I think, £35 so with code you could get 2 for one effect and probably pop a couple of loose bottles on if you also use sign up discount too.

It was 79p for a small box with only 4 chocolates inside them. £5.99 was presumably the price for a full sized box.

Sorry just seen someone else already clarified this

IlovePond · 11/10/2024 09:10

You are right @Qwerty21 - they only had the proper boxes in store.

On an unbargainous bargain note: Penhaligons sale is on:

The Entertainer currently have 3 for 2 on selected squishmallows. Only seems to be the smaller ones though, £9 each.
