Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

I've got a 15% discount code for these hampers sets (honey, candles and stuff):
https://www.numbereighteensuffolk.com/product-category/gift-sets/
enter hohohoney in the basket

They look like great adult presents.
I've bought their candles before and they smell amazing!

@MissAnnThropeofYorkshire
M&M direct do an express delivery for a year for £9.99 - I get school shoes from there so it's always worth it for me.

CHRISTMASTIME123 · 26/09/2024 11:37

Just ordered a few Teacher cards from Etsy. 25% off at the moment and can choose what colour metallic text you need.

Free Clinique gift set when you buy two products at M&S today, currently debating an order as it includes other gifts sets so a mascara (which I do need) a gift set (for dd’s Uncle) and the free one (worth £59) all for £35 seems a right bargain - but my purse will not thank me 😂

Apologies if this has been mentioned already but Tesco currently have 25% off all F&F clothing in store. I grabbed a pair of lovely soft koala pyjamas and a Stitch jumper and trousers set for DD for Christmas.

Dramallama24 · 26/09/2024 13:22

Just been browsing in the range and they have tons of good value christmas stuff out now, things I noticed were-
Cute christmas cushions around £5-6
School card pack, 30 kids xmas cards + 1 teacher and 1 TA card for £1.50
Lots of craft stuff!

Lisamari99 · 26/09/2024 13:29

Tik tok has a campaign on at the moment, money off coupons on loads of shops. I've bought clothing, bags, jewellery ++++, and am very happy with my purchases

mummysandwich · 26/09/2024 09:45

@Rescue2024 thats a great idea! where did you get your Xmas T-shirts from?

edited to ask @SootspriteSearcher too 😁

Edited

I got ours from qwertee last year (designs change daily so keep an eye out from about November!)

We've also had tshirts from primark, sainsburys, zavvi. Sometimes they are more co-ordinating so same theme but not necessarily exactly the same. Some of the themes we've done, dinosaur, gingerbread men, marvel characters, cats, stitch. 😊

I'm also a convert to a Christmas cardigan rather than jumper so if anyone sees any, the tackier the better please let me know!!

These fleece blankets are down to £3.99 in Aldi . I bought two , Sonic and Super Mario , there was a Nintendo one too .
Have you say they are excellent.
150cm x 120cm so a good size, very soft . If they are untidy they have Velcro tapes on the card and they are so easy to rectify .

Lisamari99 · 26/09/2024 14:35

Clearance sale at Woolovers, up to 50% off. Remember they were popular on here before

Yalz · 26/09/2024 14:52

Some things in the M&S sale have come further down in price (overnight?) and look like very good value, eg Hype water bottles and lunchboxes for £6 each.

They even have plain black school blazers for girls and for boys for £9, if you are lucky enough to find the right size in stock.

Some homeware is well reduced, eg table lamps for £10 (from £49.95) and a floor lamp reduced to £27 from £129. I’ve bought a plain white pure cotton jersey duvet cover and pillowcases set for £8 from £39.50 (double set size.) A set for a single bed is £6 - it might be a project for children to decorate it with fabric paints or tie dyeing?

Sorry I can’t link - my phone defaults to the app.

Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho · 26/09/2024 16:12

Has anyone seen any football goals on offer please? Only need one, not plastic though as I find it snaps easily.
Thanks all!

wholenutcadburys · 26/09/2024 16:32

Could anyone possibly pm me a Unidays code for Feel Unique? Please and thank you.

I’m really sorry but there doesn’t seem to be one.

I'm asking lots of questions today! But I remember seeing a wooden advent style holder for lindt/Ferrero chocs. It was different styles but I remember one was an xmas tree. I just can not remember where I saw it, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I think I’ve seen them on Etsy or Not on The High Street

Montanna15 · 26/09/2024 17:40

I'm not sure if everyone would have got one but I just had a email from next with £10 off when you spend £25
Also just to add I downloaded the vinted app to have a nosey. I have got two games my son asked me for brand new unopened for less than 3/4 of the price on amazon.

MammaGnomes · 26/09/2024 17:41

@LeatherJacketWedding oh no! It was working earlier, it must have expired! Sorry
