Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Thank you for the perfume parlour tip @Calmthefuckdown! I've been really missing having a perfume and can't afford to replace it, these look great. I signed up and got 10% off too, very happy!

MerylSqueak · 25/09/2024 07:04

I can second Perfume Parlour. I have their Issey Miyake dupe in a roll on and it is exactly the same as the original to my nose.

Calmthefuckdown · 25/09/2024 07:25

No problem. I like the Tom Ford ones and Jo Malone.

GreenShady · 25/09/2024 07:29

Just posting again for morning crowd, at Boots you can use SIGNUP30 to get an extra discount on No 7, it works on top of the No7 3 for 2 and some of those are held price or 20% off too!

If you're buying face cream or makeup for someone (or for yourself!) you could save quite a lot!

Jellybum2019 · 25/09/2024 08:26

Hot wheels garage £50 on Amazon I think similar to the HOF ones?

Thanks, I’d almost missed that! No Christmas presents but have just stocked up on my serum and primer. Just a pity they don’t let you code stack as there’s £10 off code for Future Renew currently.

The Boots 30% off No7 code also works on 3 for 2 Xmas gift sets - just got DH 3 sets for £14 (£7 per set instead of £10 each)

If you’re buying more expensive sets, you could make some big savings, especially as they seem to be doing 20x points for spend over £60 today (I couldn’t get it to load on my order)

wholenutcadburys · 25/09/2024 09:59

White Company have loads in their sale again, just got a gorgeous candle set for DS teacher x

IlovePond · 25/09/2024 10:31

Hi,

The Sephora £49.99 beauty advent calendar looks good for teens, maybe?

Not applicable to calendars, but Sephora has up to 25% off some things with code: EXCLUSIVE25

It doesn’t work on everything and might be account specific, but thought I would mention it in case it was helpful to anyone.

The latest LF limited edition box is quite good. Too many things I wouldn’t use for me, including the Olaplex blow dry spray, (I don’t own a hairdryer 😹), but it’s a good deal.

£45 or get another £9+ off with code: LFTASHLEIGHG mentioned by a previous poster.

LostCats · 25/09/2024 10:34

Whistlefish cards just arrived. Wow. They’re gorgeous! Will definitely buy from them going forward as prices comparable to Tesco but quality so so much better and they’re beautiful too.

25% of video games at Argos with code GAMING25 includes all platforms; ps5, switch, Xbox etc.

Do you know what the details are for this? I've just tried to use it for some switch games and it says my items aren't valid

Yep, mine came this morning and I was a sceptic but I am converted too.

Judging by my double decker lunchbox test, the Smiggle sale prices are quite low (at £8.40), but they do sometimes drop further (£7.60). Clearance price is £5.40.
