Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

I think I seen earlier in the thread they're having their voucher event on 8th October. Past years have been £5 off £50 / £10 off £100 spends. Haven't seen it confirmed on the website yet.

We have a local independent shop who I bought a brand new - ex display - Micro Scooter from. It was a bargain at £30. I saw it on FB Marketplace so it may be worth looking around for local indies to see if there are any bargains to be had.

Some great ideas - anyone know where the offers are for the Sol de Janerio sets are - I seem to remember last year they were like gold dust coming up to Christmas, can’t remember what set it was.

I bought a microscooter for £10 on facebook and replaced the kickboard and handles etc with a revamp kit for £50. Much cheaper than full price and DD didnt notice or care. I wrapped a pic of it with the first of 5 clues to its location up in a box so we had a mini hunt around the house on xmas morning.

Various places have them on offer at 20% off at any given time. Cult Beauty, Sephora, Boots are three off the top of my head. Beauty Bay currently has them on 20% off (so down to £24 from £30) There are three scents to choose from; the original and two others.

Just to add, I've hit lucky before and got one for £17 on Vinted. I think the selling sites were flooded with them at the time.

Not a bargin but M&S Christmas food slots are out today.

They always send a further reduction of 20% on every sale - if you are brave enough to wait!

I received five of the mystery Papergang boxes yesterday, I was quite disappointed to receive four of the same box though! I was hoping to break it down for stocking fillers/advent calendar stuffers but can't do this now. I've emailed them to query as I assumed I'd receive five different boxes and wouldn't have ordered if I'd known I was getting four the same. It isn't a great box either so I can understand why they have an excess!
