I feel like this year is going to be my year of terrible cheesy Christmas pun thread titles Xmas Grin

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

I've just bought some baking spices from the Spicery with a third off. I probably wouldn't have bought them at full price, but don't think that's bad.

I'll give them to DB's girlfriend with a TKMaxx bargain Ulster Weaver apron and oven gloves. She enjoys baking so hopefully those will be something a bit different.

Oh wise Mumsnet friends!! I'm looking for a plastic Costa small cup please. My son is loving a babychino (using the bargain Lavazza milk warmer purchased from here many years ago!) and as he loves Costa, I'm wanting a plastic cup please.
Has anyone seen one please? I can see a gift set on ebay for £20 but that seems a bit steep? I haven't seen plastic ones in actual Costa coffee shops.
Anyone any help please, do these exist anymore?

Re: notino Boss - is that great deal just for "aftershave water" rather than the eau de toilette or parfum?

I have managed to order a 100ml eau de toilette of the Boss in Motion for men delivered for £25.99 which is £45.99 in the Perfume shop so I didnt think the Nontino deal was bad and my DH loves Boss aftershave so not just a teen fragrance

Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho · 12/09/2024 12:11

What is the name of the Boss aftershave please, which one is it?

For those with Game issues, I am currently sat in Head Office, waiting to be seen. I will update if I get anywhere!

Ok AT a HEAD OFFICE in PERSON?
Is this a first for Christmas threads?
I am in awe of you, best of luck!

In case anyone has the Hobbycraft app, there's a deal which started this morning. Get a free burgundy plush pumpkin when you spend £20. It can be any size pumpkin (there are 4 or 5 sizes I think) I got there early so bagged a big one. Spent my £20 on Posca pens to stash away for DDs birthday (they also have 25% off)

They also sent me a £2 off voucher which I was able to use with the deal.

Offer ends 16th Sept.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 12/09/2024 12:21

Oh and I went to M&S and grabbed a hand scanner. All the caterpillar cake mix bottles were scanning at £8 for me, sadly. There were other reduced bits like hot and spicy pretzel bites for 35p in a clearance section.

Ooh, a real time, in house complaint case. Give 'em what for, Filthy!

That's perfect but sadly out of stock!!

Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho · 12/09/2024 12:33

Boss aftershave, just been into Boots and had a smell for everyone! It's very fresh, not too strong, more daytime use than night time going out. I like the smell!

Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho · 12/09/2024 12:34

Thank you for this! That's the same as the one from Ryman which is out of stock so that's great. Thanks!

They normally have these in Tesco when they have their Christmas gifts put, got DS one last year when they had extra money off. Can't remember the price but was really reasonable.

hby9628 · 12/09/2024 13:02

Lots of people posting about Disney Up Lego at Asda for £22 with £5 rewards. Hoping to grab one for my DD.

BananaWoman999 · 12/09/2024 13:03

Anyone after Tonies they are 3 for £40 at Boots plus £5 off with code BABYSAVE5. So you get 3 for £35.

cymrumam · 12/09/2024 13:08

I got one of these last year for DD - out with their Christmas stock I think it was about £8 from what I remember so worth looking a bit closer to the time ☺️

Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho · 12/09/2024 13:10

Marks and spencers in Liverpool City Centre, sadly the Colin and percy pig bottles scanning at £8 each

Thank you both for this! I've never shopped on Vinted and it's not allowing me to purchase unfortunately (no idea why!) so will hold out for Tesco!

FilthyforFirth · 12/09/2024 13:24

Home! They kept me waiting but I refused to move. Eventually spoke to Head of Commercial who promised to look into it and gave me her details. I now have an email stating my order has been cancelled and refunded, I have been refunded delivery costs and a £15 evoucher (which I will NEVER use) as a gesture of 'goodwill'.

I will never order from them again!

Well done @FilthyforFirth - I am in awe of you!

@MilkyBadBoy - I hope get your gift. 🤞

On a somewhat related note:LF are currently giving me the run around re: a free loyalty box. I would not have ordered at that time if I thought they would renege on the gift. I am very annoyed.
