Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Following, got a box of duplo this morning from Asda £10, and a box of playdoh with cutters and tools for £10. A create your own pen set for £16 and a monster high doll set with 3 dolls for £27.50

Does anyone know how often La Redoute sales are on?

I had a few items in the basket for a couple of days and missed the previous sale (like an amateur) and now all the items are full price including the Doc Martens I've been hunting high and low for. Feel like such an idiot 🤦🏻‍♀️

Really hope their sales are frequent and the items don't run out of stock.

I have been to Aldi this morning. Loads of different size squishees, including the massive ones. They also have matching notebooks with pens which are cute, I picked one of those up for an upcoming class birthday.

For all TK Maxx shoppers, if you haven't already joined it's well worth getting one of their Treasures cards. You get a 'key' each time you shop and once you have five keys you choose a reward and they send it to your house for free. I have had about three gifts already and don't shop there that often. The rewards are often free entries into a competition but there's always a physical item too. I just chose a set of three Frida Kahlo notebooks and have had a make up bag and a sewing kit in the past.

Gaaahhhh. I've missed half of the last prequel thread due to being on holiday and then dealing with DD2 starting new preschool and got DD1 starting reception next week - super busy. I've had no time to keep up with the thread.

Gutted to have missed the Elizabeth Arden and Clarins bargains.
