My DS5 loves his mini microscope LED keyring which went in hit stocking. Expensive stocking filler but he’s been walking around all day looking at everything.

tell me your present hits you got for others or received yourself!

Very cheap plastic balance game. Have been playing it all day.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 26/12/2023 19:37

DS's ukelele. I don't think he has put it down since 6am.

Olika · 26/12/2023 19:39

My DD (20 months) got a fishing game from one of her aunties and we had to hide it after several hours.

WaitingfortheTardis · 26/12/2023 19:40

I knew it would be but the extent of dd's joy for her Barbie house is fabulous, she's barely stopped playing with it. I really don't think she thought she would actually get one.

Dh loved Yahtzee which was a last minute addition after a talk about our fond memories of us playing it on holiday with his parents when we were dating over 20 years ago.

Lifeasiknowitisout · 26/12/2023 19:42

For ds (12) it was his Lego sets.

For dd (19) it was 2 perfumes she wanted, samples of all the niche perfumes from her wish list on the sniff app (we both collect perfume) and a cardigan that a friend made for her.

MariaVT65 · 26/12/2023 19:42

My 3 year old loves his cheap Hey Duggee cup I got for him.

My best friend got me a little jewellery box in my fave colour and put lots of earrings in it for my 3 piercings.

DS (almost 13 months) is obsessed with his ball pit and tunnel. He has spent most of today and yesterday either crawling through the tunnel over and over or sitting in the ball pit chucking balls around 😂.

In terms of stocking fillers, all my DC (aged 5, 11 and 15) love their milkshake straws! Such a simple thing but loved by all! My 11 yo DD loves her beret as well.

For bigger presents, most things were hits tbh. 5yo loves her Polly Pocket playset, potion making kit and magic mixie.

DD(11) adores her burrito blanket! Also the slime and art set.

DS(15) loved EVERYTHING! The cricket bag, bits for his gaming setup, mystery football shirt and poster print of his team's stadium for his room were particular hits but genuinely grateful for everything.

steelingmyself · 26/12/2023 20:50

The surprise hit here was a cheap army set from B and M (dress up clothes and accessories) DS age 7 has been wearing the bits since he unwrapped them, except when we made him remove them to go to sleep!

Rockfordpeach · 26/12/2023 20:55

DS6 absolutely loves a pair of roller skates he got from Father Christmas. He woke up early this morning so he could skate around our lounge 😂😂

caringcarer · 26/12/2023 21:47

One of the things DH got me was a heated cushion. You just plug it in and it's helping my bad back.

LightSpeeds · 26/12/2023 21:48

Disco lights!

MissHoollie · 26/12/2023 21:51

Uno quattro massive hit with the 7 year old

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 26/12/2023 21:51

DS bought me a book called "How to talk to your cat about gun control" I'm in heaven 😁

honeyfox · 26/12/2023 21:52

The first year ever I don't think I had a single dud present!

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 26/12/2023 21:53

DD6 is in love with a last minute twitch I bought 2 days before Christmas, blue tooth microphone, it’s been blasting for the last 2 days 😂

TrickyD · 26/12/2023 22:05

DS2 and his DP visited the beautiful town where I was at school, and bought us a lovely framed watercolour of its castle. I could not be more delighted by the gift itself and their thoughtfulness in choosing it.

SubParbanMum · 26/12/2023 22:51

@Lifeasiknowitisout Oh I’d love to know the perfumes?

It goes against everything I believe in & she won’t be allowed to wear it outside & she never asked for this as she’d have thought the answer would be no but for my 7 yo DD, her surprise present of a crop top (& stick on eye lashes from my mum😱) has been her most best present. She’s not taken them off since yesterday morning!

honeyfox · 26/12/2023 22:58

Books I wanted, wine, beautiful wooden Christmas decorations, lovely toiletries, vodka and money from my dad, candles, light up ball my dog loves. My inlaws parcel from the UK got seized at Customs I think due to her putting some alcohol in it ☺️

Mindovermatter247 · 26/12/2023 22:59

Got DD11 a scented bracelet making set… she loved it. it was an impulse buy as it was on sale and made up her budget.

ds15 loved the conspiracy theory book, he’s told his best friend who now wants him to bring it to school so he can read it.
