My DS5 loves his mini microscope LED keyring which went in hit stocking. Expensive stocking filler but he’s been walking around all day looking at everything.

tell me your present hits you got for others or received yourself!

For ds (12) it was his Lego sets.

For dd (19) it was 2 perfumes she wanted, samples of all the niche perfumes from her wish list on the sniff app (we both collect perfume) and a cardigan that a friend made for her.

I love perfume too and DGD had asked me for some samples of what I thought she might just like to try. I put a box with some GCs into another box that I filled with samples. She loved them. She is very into Sol De Janerio right now.

What perfumes did your DD get, if I may ask?

Theoldwoman · 27/12/2023 04:44

DH - bar fridge, fully stocked.
DD22 - Apple Play for her car.
DD21 - Nintendo Switch
Me - Care gift pack, all layers individually wrapped, with little sayings why I should relax and enjoy!

LeonoraFlorence · 27/12/2023 05:02

@caringcarer which heated cushion do you have? I like the sound of it.

riotlady · 27/12/2023 05:49

DD5 was definitely the happy napper sleeping bag- it’s like a big unicorn with a fluffy pillow face. She insisted on camping on the living room floor with it last night, not sure I’m ever getting her back into a duvet 😂

SDJ is so big right now I love their Bom dia cream. I actually got dd the bom dia travel set. It was one of her favourites.

The samples i got were

MFK Baccarat rouge 540 edp and extrait
MFK Grand Soir
YSL babycat
Montale Arabians Tonka
Montale vanille absolut
Killian Angels share/Apple brandy and rolling in love
PDM Delina and one delina flanker but I can’t remember which

I also got her the penhalgions, commodity and the harmonist discovery set. Discovery sets are usually the cheapest ways to get testers. I did also get her some perfume oils from Simon’s nest and they smelled amazing and were really cheap.

I may have also got myself some samples as well 😂. I got Diorama Vanille and PDM Althair. Which was a mistake because now I want both. Just before chrismas I got Maison margella by the fireplace which similar to Althair. Not the same but close enough I am not so tempted to spend on Althair.

Sorry forgot the full size ones were Ariana Cloud and Glossier you. She liked them as well.

Do they do them for adults? 😂

Asking for a friend 😀

10yr old was given a Playmobil tactical helicopter with some related figures and he has been over-the-moon with it. I was a bit anxious about how much it cost but its been a huge hit.

Dd11 mini grabber machine like the ones in amusement arcades. She has played it with so much as have I it's addictive !!

lollipoprainbow do you have a link, it sounds like something we would love!

Mummyme87 · 27/12/2023 06:35

Air up bottles, my 6 and 9yr old are obsessed.

BananaSpanner · 27/12/2023 06:44

DD (9) adores her pencil case with different compartments. She wanted a new pencil case for school so had a look on Amazon for one to put on her Christmas list and Santa delivered! She has spent a ridiculous amount of time filling it and rearranging it. She also loves her bubble tea kit and reuseable bubble tea cup and straw.

Ds - his gaming headset, V bucks and chocolate raisins.

OhhhhhhhhBiscuits · 27/12/2023 06:50

Pick up sticks. Honestly it's the thing she has played with the most all over Christmas. We got her a Switch but she has played pick up sticks with all of us the most.

Flidina · 27/12/2023 07:31

Omg, those oversized fluffy M&S hoodies are amazing! I bought one for after my surgery in October, hardly got to wear it as all my family loved it and kept borrowing it, even the dog! , guess what they all got for Christmas? 😂, so I've finally got mine back now.

fatandhappy47 · 27/12/2023 07:31

DS16 hasn't taken off the driving gloves I bought him (for context he also had a driving wheel for his PC)

Willmafrockfit · 27/12/2023 07:35

the clothes i bought for adult ds and dd, put on immediately, i think the hat i got for dh, last minute decision, he wore it on christmas day anyway as it was raining, time will tell

Cuwins · 27/12/2023 07:44

DD nearly 2- biggest hits so far are: playmobil 123, a tea set, a bean bag, toy birthday cake and a dolls house made by her Pop's. I have put some of her presents aside to take out another day though so there might be more yet. Oh and a soft cuddly rabbit.
Me- notebook and chocolate!
Partner- nearly all things he asked for but he seems particularly pleased with Patrick Stewart's autobiography.
Sister- bath bombs
Parents in law- best nana/pops mugs
Dad- Baklava as an alternative to chocolate he normally gets
Mum- not sure she seemed happy with everything

Cuwins · 27/12/2023 07:45

Olika · 26/12/2023 19:39

My DD (20 months) got a fishing game from one of her aunties and we had to hide it after several hours.

I had to do this with a tea set after being served my 100th cup of tea!
What game was it?

OhIlovetosew · 27/12/2023 08:23

A heated car seat cushion.

DH said he bought all my gifts this year on what he’d call non gift suggestions. I said I loved the heated seats in his car so he got me one for mine, didn’t know it was a thing, fitted on Christmas Day and tried it out, probably my best present.

BoilingHotand50something · 27/12/2023 08:28

The big hits in my house were the surprises for my DDs that I got from the Christmas posts - the Sol de Janeiro travel set and Stanley cups. I also got some surprise clothing and both girls have at least one thing that fits and they like - a big win!

Timeforanewnam · 27/12/2023 08:47

One I was very surprised wasn’t a hit - air up bottle.

very popular in my class at work , my own oldest has one , bought one for the youngest who was desperate.

bearly touched it . Says it’s to wired to drink .

washed it a few times so theirs no funny plastic smell - but he has hardly touched it

he might next week when all the fizzy Christmas pop is finished 🤷‍♀️

he has always marched to the beat of his own drum , it might be that it’s not a great gift for a potentially nd child 🤷‍♀️

any way , point is . Should have spent the £50 on more wine

I bought my, adult, son some multicoloured socks in a size that fits his size 15 feet

I have a son with clown feet so I'd love a link if you can manage it? 😁

Gutted but no they don’t!

I was a bit sceptical because they’re pricy for what they are (£60 full price, thankfully I got one on Black Friday!) but actually it’s so fuzzy and nice I quite fancy one too!

lollipoprainbow · 27/12/2023 09:01

@Bethebest it was from tiger

SnowRoomAtTheInn · 27/12/2023 09:04

Teen DS - Stanley cup, neck massager, Nintendo game, Oodie all went down very well

Teen DD - sewing machine was a massive hit.

HalfWomanHalfChocolate · 27/12/2023 09:13

Ooh, @flowerchild2000 could you link to this please? I have a DD that might like this and there’s still birthdays on the horizon!

Hits here were a book of mazes for my DD6 - she’s been very quiet solving them ever since 😉. I also bought a pair of cheap micro fibre mitts from Amazon for each of my DSises, which you can wear to dust plants with. They have a lot of plants so this was very well received!
