I know there’s one every year and I appreciate some people find it distasteful but if that’s you, please just look away. I know so many people love it and I want to see all your fridges!! I have to go to waitrose tonight and then have meat being delivered on Friday so will post mine then🎄

Slimey spinach and out of date carrots here at the Biscuit household. Some cheese and dog food. This is how we roll.

People would never post / speak about their lives if they had to constantly worry about offending other people . I personally don't do the whole posting pics of everything under my tree but if I wanted to then I would . When I was poor I didn't take offence to anyone having more than me. It's highly unlikely that anybody who finds this thread distasteful would be the type to post pictures of piles of presents on social media 😂

I cleared our fridge ready for it to take a Platinum Jubilee Trifle (tall, so a shelf out) and a Sainsbugs turkey crown and trimmings....DH took one look at the open space and filled it with processed meats and Scotch eggs and sandwich fillings from Morrisons. I could thump him.

It’s not “cancelling all fun and joy” it’s having a modicum of self awareness that it might be a little bit off to publicly delight in your busting fridges when others are struggling to afford food, which is a basic human right. Different if it’s luxuries but these are fridges full of the basics, with a few Christmas things.

Tell you what, you have bread and water for Christmas and donate anything you would have spent on anything nice. You don't have a clue who on here has made a donation or is trying to help. So stop with the histrionics and tell us about what you do? Plus if you own more than 1 bra, 1 pair of shoes etc, how dare you!!!@

I love the fridge thread every year! And fuck the begrudgers, FFS if you can't enjoy a bit of food porn at Xmas don't open the thread! I'm doing my big shop tomorrow, so by Saturday I fully intend my two fridge freezers to be heaving, one with lovely food and one with many kinds of booze. I've already made egg nog and Baileys, tomorrow I'm planning to cook a pavlova and prep a few other things, can't wait to eat it all. If that makes me 'tone-deaf', I don't give two shits. It has been a rough year, I am going to very much enjoy eating and drinking my Xmas spread, and sharing it all with loved ones. So bring on the fridge pics, I especially like seeing what cheese everyone has.

I like this thread - some will have a lot more than us, some will have a lot less. Some will be hosting for 10 people, who will need a lot more than a family of 4. You can’t directly compare.

I’m very nosy so love seeing other fridges. I’d probably have a look at non-Christmas fridges to be honest 🫢

I'm sorry I used my illness to make a point with @Jacfrost , I think we can all agree that even though we do disagree, that there is no one here actually truly horrible. I've done many a year and Christmas on the bones of my arse, shared food with the lady next door and her children so it become a little magical and stretches what we had between us. My heart bleeds for anyone who is struggling.
