I know there’s one every year and I appreciate some people find it distasteful but if that’s you, please just look away. I know so many people love it and I want to see all your fridges!! I have to go to waitrose tonight and then have meat being delivered on Friday so will post mine then🎄

My favourite thing about this thread is that one of the most vocal “the tooooone, the tooooooooooone” posters is all over the other boards talking about her big house, business class flights, and excessive Christmas spending.

I don't want people thinking that's me! 😂 I live in a tiny 2 bed and fly Easyjet 😂

PomsRun · 21/12/2023 11:06

I’m going to give my fridge a little clean ready for some organised stacking.
enjoy everyone 😊

wonkylegs · 21/12/2023 11:20

Turkey delivery came today so now the fridge Tetris begins

MollyPuddingBowl · 21/12/2023 11:31

Looking forward to seeing your Xmas fridge 🤭😂🤶🌲, mines undecided as to what to wear yet🤔🤭🌲

suicune · 21/12/2023 11:33

Ours will be filled up tomorrow after I do the food shop tomorrow morning. Will hopefully check back as I also love a nosey!

PuffPastryFluff · 21/12/2023 12:47

This thread has prompted me to clean my fridge. It is a force for good.

Misshavishamsgrudge · 21/12/2023 14:09

I popped on again to see the fridges, but it’s still drama. I’m eagerly awaiting a look at everyone’s cheese and trifles 😁 I shall come back later for another look.

Overhauler · 21/12/2023 14:42

I still need to clean the fridge. I’m just amending my food shop which isn’t due until Saturday afternoon. I have the turkey and a Yule log to pick up from m&s Saturday too.

i am worried my food shop doesn’t seem to have much so happy for suggestions.

i have pigs in blankets in the freezer
stuffing is bought
I have cream and ice cream to go with the Yule log
in the cupboard I have two tubs of chocolates, a tub of mini cheddars, box of cream crackers, Pringles, tub of nuts, tubes of sweets, tin of biscuits and 2 chocolate oranges
i have a few packets of part baked bread

i have a selection of cheeses and some charcuterie

i have a bottle of baileys but we don’t really drink in the house so don’t need anything else

i will get fresh fruit from m&s

my food shop has croissants, fresh juices, yogurts, pork pie, veg, potatoes and parsnips, eggs, milk and some drinks the kids requested like lucazade sport and Pepsi

is there anything glaringly obvious anyone can see I may be missing?
we don’t do starters on Christmas Day so don’t need anything for that

JenJenJenJenJenJen · 21/12/2023 14:56

We’re away for Christmas so no food shop required, but I have stocked up on essentials for when we’re back between the 27th and New Years.

I’ve never posted a photo but this is my favourite thread of the year! 😂

I am going over relatives for Christmas then I’m hosting Boxing Day. I’ve done most of it but I’ve got the fresh stuff to pick up Saturday after I’ve taken the kids to the panto. I’m hoping there’s food left! I’m getting nervous… my towns local Facebook page is currently telling the horror stories people are experiencing in the supermarkets!

CarolChristmasCake · 21/12/2023 15:29

I love this thread every year, and Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the righteous virtue signallers coming onto the thread to tell us we should all be ashamed of ourselves for looking/having nice food at Christmas.

Anyway, am I the only one who zooms in on the fridges to see close up? 👀 (often with a running commentary of “what cream is that? Ooh lovely. Orange juice, nice. Lots of veg there, very good…” 😆

Fridge cleared out and ready for Saturday's delivery, managed to get what bits I wanted from M&S at lunch time today so glad I don't have to do a super early trip there over the weekend.

I’m not sure why people get so weird about people posting a photo of their fridge. No one seems to be allowed to show what they are buying anymore incase it’s seen as bragging and it upsets those who can’t afford it.

BTW my fridge is empty, I’m pretty skint but I enjoy seeing what’s in other peoples fridges, the same as I like seeing peoples present lists/piles and their beautiful trees in their big houses. It doesn’t make me feel rubbish, it makes me feel happy.

There will be a Turkey in my fridge in Saturday, the rest of my shopping will be bought at 3pm in the 24th, mainly yellow sticker food. This year has been a bit tough but I’m kind of looking forward to hunting down yellow sticker food iron Sunday and not knowing what we will eat with our turkey. I feel lucky to have family and a secure home, good food is just a bonus.

I’m also very nosey and just like seeing what others have in their fridge 😬

JustOneMoreBaileys · 21/12/2023 20:45

To be fair - this weird 'won't someone think of the...' is also happening over on the thread about WFH just before Xmas. So it's not just fridges that set it off Grin

The poster on that thread has really got my goat!

My DH died earlier this year, I am determined to make Christmas nice, he would have wanted that. My three fridges are now full and I'm happy about this, he would expect nothing less, I'm really sorry for anyone struggling but we all have different struggles, I have to live the rest of my life without DH.

@Lovemusic82 I think photos of a yellow sticker haul would also be very popular!!!

I think I was just trying to say that all people are different and we all have different circumstances.

I have a small complaint, I am incredibly nosy and tried to zoom in on the details of what looks like a dessert on the top shelf but it wasn't in focus enough. More details of contents please 🤤
