I know there’s one every year and I appreciate some people find it distasteful but if that’s you, please just look away. I know so many people love it and I want to see all your fridges!! I have to go to waitrose tonight and then have meat being delivered on Friday so will post mine then🎄

You’re hooked now aren’t you…. you’ll be back this time every year 🤪

Welcome to the dark side 🌲🌲

Don’t want to derail but I apologise for my comments earlier in the thread. I was being a virtue signalling asshole and on reflection I can see it’s harmless fun. Sorry.

Good for you coming back!

Coffeeandcatsforlife · 24/12/2023 09:58

I purposely came on to mumsnet last night to find this, I love the Christmas fridges thread! Mine definitely isn’t as full as last year, I’ve not bought a tonne of cheese as
usual and meat is vegetarian alternative so in freezer.

I look forward to this thread every year for two reasons, the original reason for the thread, Christmas fridges and of course the comments. It reallys makes me smile. As a child I used to drool over the hamper section in the catalogues we had, we were way too poor to afford those kinds of luxuries. Asda rewards (free for just shopping there) of £130 we saved into the Christmas saver pot paid for a big chunk of our Christmas food.

To everyone who posted, thank you, the term Fridge Ready should be adopted. I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas.

Waitrose and Sainsbury's have both been, now. Lovely chap from Waitrose dropped my mother's wine and smashed it, so he went back to the store for another bottle. He also responded to a customer who said their custard was put of date, and got them a fresh pot. Can finally relax, now. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Wowzer! That’s what I call a full fridge! 👍❤️

PomsRun · 24/12/2023 10:34

It doesn’t seen as full this year - worried I’ve under ordered …

Drinks, meat and veg are in the other fridge (which isn’t as fridge ready).

@BewareTheBeardedDragon I’ve been lurking for years and finally signed up to take part in my favourite thread of the year, and now I’ll be remembered for the dodgy/rude fridge! Will make everyone a mandatory hot chocolate to relocate the weird milk. Merry Christmas everyone!

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 24/12/2023 12:09

@asterixa 😂🤣😂 I'm sorry.

I think your cheeky-eyed fridge monster is thoroughly charming.

You have a merry Christmas too.

I absolutely love this post every year 🎄 also using my first ever post for this thread.

Here is my Christmas fridge which has dinner for 12 inside. Wine not yet arrived from my parents but have left some bottle sized holes for it coming later. Not chocka but I had ran it down to the v bare minimum this morning.

He eats plastic Confused so he's after the lasagne sheets packaging

My festive fridge. The ham isn't in it at the moment because it is being cooked in cider, and my mum is bringing a Christmas pudding. I think I need to try to cram some more wine in it. Xmas Smile

Ooh love a good fridge thread on Christmas Eve! Ours is crammed. Wine is in the shed fridge. Will feed 6 for dinner tonight and 8 for lunch tomorrow, plus leftovers to last beyond Boxing Day hopefully!

I’m pleased to see the stacking and balancing of stuff on your fridge door shelves. That’s how mine is.

But I confess that I don’t keep lemons in the fridge.

Edit for lemons.

My fridge, quite a quiet one this year but we have had people for lunch today and I have family coming round on 27th for christmas round 2. Have a chicken and a gammon and obviously will have lots of leftovers, my veg is in the box from riverford as it wouldn’t fit in the fridge and soft drinks are in the garage as I’m not drinking this year.
Also have a festive lamb and additional pigs in blankets in the freezer!

My christmas cake for bonus points too😊

Your fridges all look amazing and I hope everyone who is on their own, having a small christmas or a massive and chaotic one have a fantastic day. Merry Christmas!🎄

I've added a couple of close ups this year. I enjoyed this thread immensely last year and this year hasn't disappointed although the comments have been a bit 'livelier' than I recall.

Love this thread here is mine! A reasonable amount is ringfenced to take elsewhere for Xmas events!

Our delivery came yesterday but our fridge is still looking rather sad, our snack drawer is looking a bit too healthy though.

How much more did people find their shopping cost this year in comparison to previous?

WildFlowerBees · 24/12/2023 18:55

@Lilithlogic what are you having with your caviar? Do you have a nice glass of something lovely to go with it?

I have blinis, quails eggs, cream cheese and a bottle of sparkling tea. Hoping I'm actually going to be able to eat any at the moment. Pain has been 8/10 all day.

LyingLikeACheapCarpet · 25/12/2023 00:26

Merry Christmas.

Just enjoyed reading this thread as always.

Mine always stresses people out as I don't follow the rules.

I don't have enough desserts, wish I had some of the chocolate ones in previous photos.

Do have clotted and double cream.

Drinks in drinks fridge which sounds much posher than it is, love those of you that have proper wine fridges.

Have fridge envy on anyone who has double doors (haven't shown my doors as forgot)

Further note I actually hate my fridge. The design is very crap, especially the single veg draw.

@Lilithlogic really hope you have a good a Christmas as possible.

@YaWeeFurryBastard fair play.
