Thanks @bizzey for the title Xmas Grin

Hope all are well.

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

How to do click links -

I hope that makes sense…

Present tracking apps might be of interest eg Santas bag, gift list.

Here are some useful websites:

Amazon free delivery tool here

Aliexpress [[http://www.aliexpress.com www.aliexpress.com . Useful tips here from sorryiasked: Aliexpress is a Chinese site that sells everything! Assume all branded stuff is fake. I personally wouldn't buy baby toys or electronics from there as I don't have faith in the product safety. But for fan merchandise, dolls clothes, "lego", household items etc it's great. Check the size guide on clothes and lower your expectations!
Use a seller who has a 4.5 star rating or higher.
You can pay via PayPal and there is an excellent tracking system, but be aware express postage is usually 2-3 weeks and standard postage up to 2-3 months.

Bargainmax here

Camelcamelcamel is a brilliant site that tracks prices on amazon here

Lisa angel sale is popular when on, apparently arrive nicely packaged too here

Magazine subscription offers here and here

Netpricedirect has discount toys and party bits here although be aware reviews of the site is mixed

Toys for a pound here

Any additional websites or recommendations to add - just let me know Grin . I should add something about Ali express maybe as we’ve had that before…will get my brain thinking about what other sites/products have been popular.

Amazon UK Free Delivery Tool - Find add on items to reach £25

Amazon provides free super saver delivery for orders of £25 or over. Use our tool to find items to qualify for free shipping

oriel2013 · 04/12/2023 11:40

Hi all, my mum's just messaged me upset as her order for grandchildren's onesies has been lost and items are now out if stock. If anyone happens to be near Sainsbury's and sees these in larger sizes (age 10/11) could you let me know please?
Or does anyone have recommendations for others to look at?
Many thanks

@oriel2013 I am going to Sainsburys tomorrow. I will have a look for you. Happy to buy and post if there is one. Is it just one in 10/11 you need?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 04/12/2023 11:58

Decided im not doing crackers on the table this year however for some unknown reason I've always fancied doing "table presents (I know, I know Grin).

So I'm doing a compromise and useing the little boxes products are in within this years M&S beauty advent which I'll wrap after popping in a small genuinely useful gift for each recipient, a crap handwritten Christmas joke and a little chocolate. Not fussed about hats as they are only worn for the first course then get annoying sliding down one's face.

MIL and DD gifts will be easy but can anyone help with ideas for -

FIL ... loves gardening and the odd glass of red,
DH ... loves cycling, also wine, WFH so little home office bits possibly

Gifts must be pretty small and ideally less than a fiver each

Any suggestions?

BeerGarden · 04/12/2023 12:02

Tesco have 20% Virgin Experiences, Wayfair and Pub Voucher. Also all their paperchase stuff is on 3 for 2

DaffodilsInAJamjar · 04/12/2023 12:17

£5 off £40 plus free delivery at Frugi- code CC12FG53

15% off full priced stock at TurtleDoves- code 23CC15

These came on leaflets in a delivery today. Seem to be generic codes, not single use

Darkbutstarrynight · 04/12/2023 12:28

@tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz You could put some seeds or small bulbs in for FIL and perhaps some fancy .....or normal!......post it notes for DH

BlackFlyChardonnay · 04/12/2023 12:28

I don't suppose anyone has a discount for a website called timarco?

Merrow · 04/12/2023 12:32

In what may be the most boring present, does anyone have any recommendations for strong reusable bags that fold up small and ideally can be personalised?

Needtostartover · 04/12/2023 12:34

Thank you to the ladies who posted about 50% off middle of Lidl. I now have so many gifts I didn’t know I needed.

*heated cushion
*heated should wrap thing 🤷🏻‍♀️
*Lego Harry Potter house banners (£10 each 👍🏻)
*some wooden toys
*lots of candles worth of gifting
*small child tool set
and so much more.

Definitely worth a look

oriel2013 · 04/12/2023 12:46

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads That's so kind thank you. Two needed. Any sizes between 8 &12 could work. If you are near Sussex or Cirencester we could arrange to pick up! Thank you 😊

Love this. What people need at Christmas is … more presents. Grin

your post proves I’ve really found my people here

BeerGarden · 04/12/2023 12:50

I also want to say thank you to the person who posted about the 50% off at Lidl! I now have a heated blanket, 2 new pillows, a light up candle, a log basket and a thermal top/socks for the Salvation Army collection, all for £30!

CrispyTofu · 04/12/2023 12:56

Does anyone have any suggestions for work gifts?

All women, aged 30 - 40. For the past 2 years I have gifted wax lyrical Christmas candles and charbonnel chocs, then John Lewis jewellery boxes and posh chocs. All purchased as bargins well before Christmas. I have really struggled this year, no ideas and no bargains to be found. I considered Laithwaite hampers but couldn't get any of the vouchers to work.

Any ideas would be very gratefully recieved 😃

There’s some on eBay if you put in personalised foldable tote bag.
no Idea how good they will be.

I’ve bought fabric pens and fabric tote bags before and let the kids go wild.

Mine loved Megablocks at that age. I got a huge black bin bag full for £5 on Facebook Marketplace, so it might be worth a look if it doesn't need to be new.

VegetablesFightingToReclaimTheAubergieneEmoji · 04/12/2023 13:11

not bargains but ideas!!

Restaurant vouchers?
pasta evangelist voucher?
dispatch vouchers
rick stein hamper / vouchers

my theory…. We all need to eat

MaybeMrs · 04/12/2023 13:16

One of my bargain Fossil orders has been cancelled 😞
