Quidco have 100% cash back up to £20 at Moonpig. I ordered some cards and flowers for a birthday

@anypossibleway thats a good deal, has it tracked? I know Quidco can be a bit hit and miss with tracking.

@GirlWithTheYellowHat there were loads. in Asda this morning in the Christmas aisle (tho annoying they have run out of the amazing mint ones). I too got some bargain Harry potter PJ's from Aldi today, down to £2.50 each plus some super soft fairisle style leggings down to £4.50- definitely worth the trip. If anyone is after football goals/rebounders etc, Debenhams have some at up to half price with free delivery. Also a plea for help please. The kids have finally written their Santa letters but the one thing they each want seems to be out of stock everywhere. If anyone sees the board game Hues and Cues or the fuck squishmallow (she has specified the non fluffy version) please let me know. I have seen the duck in the entertainer but it seems to be a rugby special one tho I may just order that as back up.

Erm, the Duck squishmallow (I assume) was available in Rymans when I was in last week. There's also loads on ebay. I get a lot of squishmallows on ebay as my DD collects them. As long as they have the tag and are described as new / good condition you should be fine. The 'fluffy fucks' are actually called Fuzzamallows (or should that be Fuckamallows?) 😁

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 04/12/2023 15:47

@moonbabyandthebeast the rugby duck squishmallow is only the small 18/19cm one if you do end up getting that one.

Has anyone seen a 2024 language calendar - one of those blocks where you tear off a piece of paper every day to reveal a new word/phrase? Looking for a French or Italian version for a relative that has had one in the past and wants one for their desk ... I can't seem to find a 2024 version online.

Aquicksitdown · 04/12/2023 15:59

Afternoon all, I'm in need of some advice about slime kits. SIL has asked us to buy some for her DD9, but she says she's never bought any before as they're all full of nasty chemicals... I've never bought any either although my daughter got some as a birthday present and I didn't even consider about there being anything harmful in it! I don't know my niece very well (they live in Belgium so only see that side of the family once or twice a year if that), but I have a feeling she may be prone to allergies/weird reactions to things. Anyway, if anyone can recommend any chemical-free slime making kits that would be much appreciated! 😄

We usually buy these and nowhere to be found this year.

Gah slime!!!! We had years of it.

DD used to make LOADS - from memory it was contact lens solution, glue and shaving foam lol. I’m guessing you could probably get hypoallergenic versions of each? Maybe not the glue?

Dee1224 · 04/12/2023 16:22

@GirlWithTheYellowHat - Lidl had bars of chocolate orange type chocolate with crunchy bits today, in case that’s any good. I wish I had bought some - 99p.

Dee1224 · 04/12/2023 16:23

@oriel2013 - M&S have some nice Xmas onesies for kids. Primark had some too.

PersonWithInternalGonads · 04/12/2023 16:25

I went to Lidl and there wasn't a heated blanket in sight, let alone a half price one. No empty space for one either. Is it worth trying a different store do you think?

CamdenLurker · 04/12/2023 16:25

BeerGarden · 04/12/2023 14:55

@GirlWithTheYellowHat i haven’t seen them ANYWHERE this year. I have checked every single supermarket (we have 12 in total in my city). I’ve been to every single co op within a 20 minute drive of my house. I’ve been to probably…. 15 different petrol stations (I’m a district nurse so always stopping for petrol!) . I genuinely think they have stopped making them

Definitely still making them, I got 4 popping candy chocolate oranges from Asda last week - I think they call them exploding candy though.

Dee1224 · 04/12/2023 16:26

Unbelievably, my Oodie hasn’t arrived and Oodie are ignoring my emails. Does anyone have any alternative contact information for them?

Otherwise I am going to have to try to get a refund via my cc.

I am so disappointed with the company 🙃

Thanks

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2023 14:28

My now 12 year old has worn these for ballet since being little - exams and all - always been perfectly fine (you just have to sew on the elastic)

OneFamily · 04/12/2023 16:29

@PersonWithInternalGonads I asked in our Lidl if they would be refilling or changing the middle aisle during the 50% off and the lady said they would. I would check other stores and also your own another day.

moonbabyandthebeast · 04/12/2023 16:39

Oh god, sorry for the typo- definitely don't Google that! Thanks for the advice re:- squishmallows tho, stupidly hadn't thought of eBay . @Beckafett thank u - I did see that but it says it out of stock, wonder if I might be lucky going in store tho. @GirlWithTheYellowHat think we need to get together,IL send u some exploding candy oranges and u can send me some mint ones!

fishfingersandchipsagain · 04/12/2023 16:46

I thought the Moonpig Quidco offer today looked great (100% cashback up to £20). I picked out a couple of chocolate gift boxes coming to £26. Very happy to pay the £6 plus postage.

But they want £4.95 postage for each item! So I would have to pay total of £36 with the potential of getting £20 back at some point in the future. The items I picked are only £8-£9 each elsewhere so not worth it.

I see there are various codes for free postage, 20% off gifts etc, but I assume if I use them the cashback will get declined.

Did you get the full cash back? I ordered an item for £22 but it only tracked as £18.33.
