Hey sorry not a bargain but the only thing my 2 year old would like for Christmas from Father Christmas is ballet shoes! She does a little dancing class at the minute and has asked to do ballet dancing (she's a very grown up 2!) My other daughter never did ballet so i've not a clue! Does it matter where they come from? Did a quick Google and everywhere from amazon to special dancing shops do them and I have no idea! Thanks x

One of my bargain Fossil orders has been cancelled 😞

Oh no!!! Mine hasn’t been dispatched yet…..

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 04/12/2023 14:25

Cracking up trying to find a popping candy chocolate orange! Starting to think they don't exist

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2023 14:26

@Brusselssprouts25 for a 2 year old I really wouldn’t go to the specialist dance shops.
if she does go to a dance school lots have a second hand box you could just clean them up but the supermarket/ matalan ones will be just fine

Brusselssprouts25 · 04/12/2023 14:32

@lifelongfrugaleer thank you and thanks for looking :) xx

Favouritefruits · 04/12/2023 14:46

@Brusselssprouts25 any ballet shoes will do if it’s for that age but make sure they aren’t split sole as at that age they need a full sole.

Favouritefruits · 04/12/2023 14:48

Oh an I’d get ones with an elastic strap as they will stay on so much better and less chance of tripping! If you don’t mind second hand I have a really good second hand pair of black size 9 I’ll send for free!

moonbabyandthebeast · 04/12/2023 14:49

@GirlWithTheYellowHat there were loads. in Asda this morning in the Christmas aisle (tho annoying they have run out of the amazing mint ones). I too got some bargain Harry potter PJ's from Aldi today, down to £2.50 each plus some super soft fairisle style leggings down to £4.50- definitely worth the trip. If anyone is after football goals/rebounders etc, Debenhams have some at up to half price with free delivery. Also a plea for help please. The kids have finally written their Santa letters but the one thing they each want seems to be out of stock everywhere. If anyone sees the board game Hues and Cues or the fuck squishmallow (she has specified the non fluffy version) please let me know. I have seen the duck in the entertainer but it seems to be a rugby special one tho I may just order that as back up.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2023 14:51

@Brusselssprouts25 these are more like “real” ballet shoes Either elastic or laces adjust to fit. Our school uses the pink leather like these but usually a dance brand

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 04/12/2023 14:51

@moonbabyandthebeast
I've seen loads of the mint, but not seen popping candy, even in my Asda 😫

Ewock · 04/12/2023 14:54

Posted this on the end of the last thread so don't know if people saw it. Someone was asking about stocking hangers, I saw these in Primark today there was a gingerbread house one as well. £7

@GirlWithTheYellowHat i haven’t seen them ANYWHERE this year. I have checked every single supermarket (we have 12 in total in my city). I’ve been to every single co op within a 20 minute drive of my house. I’ve been to probably…. 15 different petrol stations (I’m a district nurse so always stopping for petrol!) . I genuinely think they have stopped making them

BeaLola · 04/12/2023 15:05

For the table presents :

FIL - bulbs, green bendy twine, seed packet, those little plant marker sticks,

DH - posh paper clips - could do the animal shaped ones ?, mini highlighter pens, iPhone (iff red whatever brand he has) extra long charging lead, or depending on budget an air tag

Erm… ”the non-fluffy fuck squishmallow”?

That seems … niche.

@Reastie we might have the next thread title already 😂

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 04/12/2023 15:09

@moonbabyandthebeast ummm the what squishmallow?! 😂😂

Summerdew · 04/12/2023 15:21

My Tesco had some of the popping Candy chocolate oranges in I’m sure, there weren’t many left though and this was a couple of weeks back (unless I dreamed this - bit Tesco at Osterley if you’re west London based). I can’t find white ones this year so have resorted to the white mini pieces.

LemonFrosting · 04/12/2023 15:25

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 04/12/2023 11:23

@LemonFrosting is the green and blacks tesco clubcard offer any good for you?

Green & Blacks

Absolutely perfect thank you!!!!

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 04/12/2023 11:29

@LemonFrosting

Or maybe this Thorntons Dark?

Amazon Thorntons Dark

Edited

Thabk you! I actually looked at this the other day and it was full price so thank you! I hate paying full price for anything now!!

Summerdew · 04/12/2023 15:26

Also @Brusselssprouts25 2 and a half is a lovely age to start ballet. If you are buying ballet shoes online they tend to come up small. It’s a lovely thing to take your daughter to a ballet shoe shop and try on, little ones can get all starry eyed by the different leotards etc, I’ve loved taking DD (sadly no longer goes) and I remember going with my mum and grandmother when I was small.
