Thread 13 - the one with the loot from Black Friday | Mumsnet

13 - unlucky for some. Let's hope it's very lucky for us! I bought a couple of things in the Black Friday sales - an amazon stick (I'm pretty sure we...

@FlourishandBlotts , I’ve put mine on the referral thread here: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6?page=10
It should be £10 off for you and £5 for me, so thank you if you use it.

Thank you very much!

FireandBrimstone · 03/12/2023 13:40

Wondering if this great group can help with a reputable man's heated gilet c. £40 (I know the powerbank will be an extra). There are tons on Amazon but concerned about dodgy manufacturing from overseas.

Also stacks with this so you get the set and the lip thing with free delivery.

Thanks for this. I finally took the gruum plunge and got the washbag set and lip bauble for £14 free delivery.

Bezzi · 03/12/2023 14:06

Thanks for the Next replies, I took the plunge and just purchased

I asked earlier for some help finding a towelling bath robe for DH and some aftershave for a teen boy.

I managed to get DH a lovely herringbone patterned robe from M&S - I had looked in store previously and they didn’t have any at all, found this one online. It looks like velour in the photos, but it is towelling. (As requested)

and I went with the CK in2u as recommended by a couple of posters on here.

i now have £8 left to spend on my secret Santa gift. Recipient is mid 40s and currently undergoing chemo, and so her skin is very sensitive and dry atm, she has asked for a moisturising body wash or body cream. I was hoping for a bargain gift set, but I’d welcome any suggestions for good brands that would fit that price range.

Just in case anyone else is getting the white company car diffuser to note that it doesn’t come with a scent. I bought one as a gift and another for myself
I had presumed it would come with a scent but it didn’t bother me as I just used the scents I had
I had to buy an oil from the white company though to go with the diffuser that I bought as a gift which I hadn’t budgeted for
*to be fair it didn’t state on the ad that there was a scent included I had just presumed it did

I may have missed an earlier post but I got the white company car diffuser and oil last Christmas and it is absolutely shocking. The smell barely lasts half a day and it is, in my opinion, an utter waste of money.

@Waterlemon I’d go for Aveeno- that’s good when on Chemo

thanks

aveeno was going to be my backup plan if there are no bargains out there.

NWnature · 03/12/2023 15:10

Oh gosh sorry that was me recommending the diffuser! I haven’t actually got one just thought it might be a nice idea for the PP looking for a £10-15 car fan present. It’s sold out anyway I think. I also thought maybe the diptique one but it’s much more expensive.

ProseccoandPizza · 03/12/2023 15:23

Anyone else ordered from Fahlo but unable to find a confirmation email etc? I paid via paypal and have that email with order number, plus screenshot taken of order number/order confirmation at time of ordering. Stupidly checked out as guest so not able to see anything on their website either.

Starlin · 03/12/2023 15:33

Hi, I'm trying to do this but get the error: The entered voucher code is not valid for your order value.

Am I missing something?

uncomfortablydumb53 · 03/12/2023 15:35

@Waterlemon
Cerave is another one which would be suitable
Aveeno do a nice body wash in your price range too

Anewuser · 03/12/2023 15:56

@Waterlemon I second Aveeno, worked for me. Sainsbury have the gift set on nectar for £12 if that helps.

Beckafett · 03/12/2023 16:37

I promised ages ago to take a pic of these, can't remember who for! I'm giving them away in case anyone lives near Huddersfield or Wigan

ProseccoandPizza

I checked out as a guest originally but went back yesterday and made an account with the same email address as I'd used to order and my order was there. Not going anywhere, but it was there.

villamariavintrapp · 03/12/2023 16:51

Re Fahlo I didn't get a confirmation email but did get a text which now has a tracking number, so fingers are crossed!

handmademitlove · 03/12/2023 16:51

@Waterlemon Aveeno recommended here as well - they also have a small handbag size that is great for when out and about.

I have very dry and sensitive skin. Aveeno is my go to. The sets are over budget but it would be worth a google to see if any are on offer. Superdrug have this bath soak I haven’t tried this one personally though, as we only have a shower.

Waterlemon · 03/12/2023 16:56

Thanks everyone- Aveeno it is

Threeboysadogandacat · 03/12/2023 16:59

@feejee - I'm a Coeliac and I love the Schar biscuit range - they do xmas special editions of their biscuits and have chocolate fingers, jaffa cakes and speculoos in festive packaging. I'd be delighted to receive any of those items. M&S do a GF Christmas loaf cake which is nice.

Unless you know they need dairy free then my advice is to try and find items that have diary in them as they taste a lot better! :)

Doublerainbow23 · 03/12/2023 17:10

Last year I seem to remember deals on posca pens, I didn't need them then , but now DC wants them as their main present, so I need a biggish set. Blimey they're pricey! Any deals anywhere? Thank-you
