Thread 13 - the one with the loot from Black Friday | Mumsnet

13 - unlucky for some. Let's hope it's very lucky for us! I bought a couple of things in the Black Friday sales - an amazon stick (I'm pretty sure we...

Long shot- has anyone come across any codes at all for either Smyths, Lego or Disney?
There's a Lego set I need for ds which is only selling in these three places- been looking for ages in the hopes that one of them would reduce it, even by a bit, because I can't bring myself to buy it with no discount at all! 😂
Anything at all? I keep searching and can't find anything!

TopCashback for Lego and Disney?

(and of course get a referral from the referrals thread if you don’t already have it)

Thanks- I'm not having much luck with TCB tracking with recent orders, so I don't trust it as a guaranteed discount - was hoping for something 'real', but that might be too much to hope for!

Thanks for the new thread

I bought DH the bean to cup coffee machine and now need some beans to go with? I was thinking of maybe like a selection box kind of thing so that we can try a few and see what we like? I've no idea how much we'll need or use? Over the Xmas period we will probably drink around 3/4 cups each a day. I tend to not drink coffee during the week but he will have a few cups whilst working from home.

Does a selection box type thing exist? How much do you think we might need?

I did start a new thread for this in the Xmas section but I'm thinking I might get more traffic here so apologies if you have replied on there too

I bought a Paddy and Scott selection box last year and the recipient loved it! It was recommended on one of last year's threads, as I recall.

@Questionsquestionsquestions I had exactly same problem. Smyth is stingy about reducing exclusives. Disney sometimes has codes. I ended up buying from Lego when they had double points weekend. I also got Xmas Lego set as a gift with purchase.

I used to have the same problem. If you’re using your phone, take your WiFi off and do it using just mobile data.

Has anyone received their Fossil order yet? I think they're having problems. I got a dispatch e-mail on Monday and when I checked the tracking number today it said delivered in July. I rang customer service to query that and they say that despite my dispatch e-mail my order hasn't actually been sent yet. Annoying as it is in fact a birthday present needed for this weekend.

sorryiasked · 29/11/2023 11:58

If anyone is looking for a sizeable box of choc I bought this large Dairy Box from Tesco - £6 with clubcard

Karlkennedyslovechild · 29/11/2023 12:00

Thanks for the new thread.

We’re big fans of Rave coffee beans here. They have taster pack bundles.

Any advice/recommendations for a football goal for DS?

@tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz They tried to pull that one on me 'names and emails of who you sent it to'

Its run by 'Mention me' who do body shop and bloom and wild referal schemes and they are a nightmare.)

Guess who runs Papiers one........

I told them I didn't have the details and that 'mention me' actively encouraged me to share the links far and wide, so, I wouldnt be providing them

(needless to say this was all on the online chats, soon as i picked up the phone I wasn't asked this and had no issues)

I still have outstanding body shop ones I honestly just CBA

Dobble connect is £10 for online Asda orders, went in store last week and it was still £15. They wouldn't price match as they said the online stuff comes from a warehouse! Have ordered for click and collect this afternoon, made sure I did with my online shop though as you need to order £35 to not pay the delivery surcharge.

My 2nd haul of Glossybox mystery boxes arrived. Some in the same style boxes but different products so that was good.
Slightly disappointed in that the boxes/packaging for the first haul were all varied and nicer, and this time there were no Elemis or Clinique products, but I am happy with a lot of the products and they were mainly for gifting. For £1 per item can’t really grumble. I’ll still order again in future

DiscoChristmas · 29/11/2023 12:54

does anyone know if Dobble do a Christmas version please and if so, where is it stocked?

I can see one called spot it but don’t think it’s a genuine Dobble.

ZzzzCravingMum · 29/11/2023 13:00

@DiscoChristmas now appear a complete dobble superman but i got the Spot It christmas one and it says "a dobble game" on it and has the hand logo, but not overly sure

Thanks for the new thread. Does anyone have any ideas for a 10 year old looking for bath bombs face masks that type of thing? Already got all her mains so not too pricey. Not sure what’s popular. Thanks

Lots in primark x

Elpheba · 29/11/2023 13:35

@DiscoChristmas Spot it is the American version- don't know why but they decided it couldn't be called dobble over there?!

lemonsmum · 29/11/2023 13:35

@evtheria Are they mini gingerbread houses on the top shelf also £1? Not clear enough when I zoom in. Don't think I've seen them in my local store but now want them.

DiscoChristmas · 29/11/2023 13:42

@ZzzzCravingMum Thank you, that’s the one I’ve been looking at.

@Elpheba Ah ok! Thank you.

I thought it was a fake version and then it was on Temu so that made me a bit worried about it not being genuine. Thanks again to both of you.

buckeejit · 29/11/2023 13:43

Think I'm about done & feel like there's limited bargains left to be had but also have a compulsion to keep checking here. And will maybe get another couple of board games Blush

Family tickets for wicked purchased- need to find a creative way to box up tickets if anyone has any ideas that don't involve buying more stuff!

animalcrossingfan2021 · 29/11/2023 13:46

Does anyone know where I can purchase an Apple Watch strap doesn’t have to be the official ones. I know typo use to sell them but I don’t think they do anymore.

evtheria · 29/11/2023 13:46

@lemonsmum Yes, they were £1 too :)

MammaGnomes · 29/11/2023 13:48

I have a 15% off at crocs

24D3BDDCWS

Roll them up and put them in a balloon each. Use the balloons, grouped together, as a decoration somewhere “hidden in plain sight” eg over a doorway (somewhere they won’t be inspected too closely. Get them to pop the balloons on the day and the tickets will drop down.
