Morning!

It's the final Rudolph Day of the year! A month today is the big day!

I'm sending DH off to his parents' house with the kids so I can wrap today. I usually fail to be Christmassy on Rudolph Days! 🤣

We did the tree and the star! #priorities 🎄⭐️

FluffyDog looks knackered , he's thinking how much ginger fur he can get on your nice new grey carpets before he'll push you juuust over the edge

I foresee much vacuuming of the dog, and maybe the carpet too, 70!

DD is going to search in M&S for one of them.

The other gripe was Cafe Nero didn't have almond croissants and I'd heard they were delicious . I;m boycotting them now <flounce> and heading back to Starbucks

You need one of those Robot Vacuums Fluffy ours collects enough cat fur to knit ourselves a kitten every ten days .

I think the dog may have an opinion on a robot vacuum! 🙈🤣 (Only one winner: not the vacuum!)

DH ruined my lovely Christmas focused day yesterday by being a drunken arse after his works do
He's been very sorry today but I am not impressed.

I finally moved my potted Christmas tree to the front of the house from the shaded corner of the back garden today. I'd forgotten about him entirely despite a battle to keep him alive in the summer 🙄 so lights will be put on tomorrow.
He's a bit gappy so hopefully lights will be a good distraction!

Finally starting to get some Christmas vines - I put a seasonal a playlist by Pentatonix n yesterday (while I did some office work...). And I went to the markets and did a bit of shopping on Saturday. DH decided to do hampers for his DSiiblings (ordering online) and has orders the very practical present his DM asked for. I got small stuff for most of the DNs - stocking fillers really.

Another mad day of work for me, and more virtual apartment viewings and calls to arrange in person viewings. I'm determined to find something before I go home for Christmas.

Good news I have returned home safely without being kidnapped or murdered Cabin in the woods stylee. There was another huge storm last night and I was awake for ages.

We went to a rather weird/strange pub with a usual vibe but it did improve a bit but it has given us stories to tell. The owner was on Four in the Bed quite a long time ago and we watched it when we got back.

My tooth cracked the at weekend, luckily I was working near my dentist today so popped in just before work to book an appointment. Saw the dentist at 12:20 and she did a filling there and then. Luckily I’m an NHS patient, even though she’s a private dentist. She was so nice though I wish I could afford to see her all the time! My back teeth all came through without enamel so, through no fault of my own, I have very weak teeth.

I have almost finished my Christmas shopping, just need my brother to confirm one last thing. Then onto food shopping although I have bought quite a bit over the last few weeks.

I'm probably 90% done for Christmas. I need to buy something for eldest nephew to open (we're getting him a dry slope skiing lesson ahead of a ski school trip next year), 1 toy for youngest nephew (purely because I've realised niece has more to open) and my dads hamper.

It will be done in one food shop I think.

Then I need to organise packing and dig out my thermals ❄️

I need to wrap the presents I have bought and the food shop is planned with various food deliveries next week.

I had problems with my laptop during the shift and it combusted internally. The first service desk guy was very useful-not, told me he did not know what was wrong with it and that I would need to work out how to re-boot it. I would be in IT not mental health if I was that way inclined.

I had to drive to the nearest site and an engineer just swapped it for a new one. Goodness knows what happened.

Busy old day in the office! Lots to get my head round still.

Packing is tedious. We're doing more tonight and I think DH is dismantling the wardrobes in our room. I went and painted our room with its second coat last night. Definitely not going tonight as I've been in the office. I'll get stuff done at home.

Dd and I had a very short wander in town earlier and I picked up my free room spray form M&S. it’s ok, I wouldn’t pay for it though.

Well, I have managed to get 2 nice presents here, and had a nice time at a networking event here this evening too meeting new colleagues. But 1 apartment was tiny and very busy viewing, and a train strike today meant agent couldn't get to show me the other 2 planned...however, my flight home is booked for tomorrow week! I'm missing home this week.

I got worried at messages I saw over the weekend so glad to see that Why has returned safe and sound, and had a nice adventure.

I wrapped everything this morning bar two presents for DS that are due to arrive on Monday and the presents we will be taking with us to a family party after Christmas.

Yes but with surprisingly successful results. Both tubs that I defrosted today contained goulash. I must remember to label them 😬

Whilst rummaging in the garage I came across a couple of (obviously unlabelled) pots that could be either bechamel or butterscotch sauce. Watch this space for lasagne night next week! 😂

Could you invent a sweet/savoury lasagne Buck? Not sure it would be very nice but definitely groundbreaking! 😂
