Christmas songs that aren't as well known / popular - Please share

I've recenty found this lovely song and wondered what other gems are out there that get ignored in favour of the well known (overplayed) Christmas songs.

Great one for younger kids!

I really like this one but it’s definitely an acquired taste and I can imagine lots of people finding it unbearable to listen to 😂

Same Auld Lang Syne by Dan Fogelberg, a true story about bumping into an exgf just before Christmas.

White wine in the sun by Tim Minchin. Not as obscure as the others listed but a nice take on a family Christmas. The downside: it has been known to make me cry (if I’ve taken too much white wine in the sun).

A lesser played oldie - Dennis Waterman and George Cole in character as Terry McCann and Arfur Daley from Minder, a bit surreal to see them on the Beeb 😁

More well known in the US than here, but utterly wonderful from start to finish.

It needs a full choir but still sends shivers down my spine 55 years after we sang it at school!

We used to sing a sing at school in the 1980s that went "Mine was a ref and green Christmas, a Scarlett poinsietta Christmas, a sea green honey palm Christmas...". I havn't heard that since I left school I don't think, but it was in a proper book, not made up by "Sir".

Was just going to suggest the hippo one, a favourite in our house! Kate Ruby does it. She has several Christmas albums with some lesser known songs on. Anna Lapwood ( organist and composer, conductor) has some beautiful Christmas albums, have a look on apple classical. I love Christmas music, I might get started now!
