Christmas cheesy films - is there already a thread?

Have I missed the Hallmark/Netflix/ Amazon prime thread on all those cheesy Prince from (insert unlikely name for snowy European country) meets girl from New York films?

Anyone share my guilty pleasure of these so awful they’re good films?

please tell me I’m not the only one here.

Highly recommend Christmas Under The Stars and The Christmas Card.

We love them here. There must be insane decorations everywhere. There must be constant talk of hot chocolate and cookies. There must be checked shirts. There should be someone having to leave the big city to return to a small town. They should ideally fall in love with the first person they see who should ideally be widowed or have a big problem that they can fix.
They should always have a story about how their parents found love at first sight at christmas...

Another older one is the “The Christmas Shoes” With Rob Lowe in. Oh it’s fabulous but never shown anymore.

I love “A Christmas Show” It may be on Prime. Not your usual plot line, but a lovely story with a Christian theme towards the end. I think it was made for Lifetime in the U.S, definitely not Hallmark.

Your auntie has great taste. It's a timeless movie. Ten years ago was probably the last time it was shown and maybe will be shown, as there are so many Christmas movies now that it's been lost in the wake of them.

But it will forever hold a special place in my heart. It also helps that the child actress is never annoyingly over-sweet or obviously acting a part, in the way some of the children in these films can be.

I have just spent about 20 minutes ages driving myself mad trying to find the title to another films that was about shoes (with the omnipresent Candace Cameron Bure) anyway - It' The Shoe Addict's Christmas' ticks all the boxes- has a guardian angel / Christmas Carol theme/changing the past that is pretty popular.
And CCB is called Noelle.

I am looking forward to the Family Switch at the end of the month on Netflix as I like Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms. I also like body swap movies.

I’ve visited a few of these real life chocolate box American Towns. Cold Spring in New York State stands out; as does Conway in New Hampshire. Book yourself a flight!!

Yes...book yourself a flight. Who knows, you could find yourself your very own Trevor Donovan.

Don't forget though -
he has to be a bit distant or even grumpy . Not willing to get into the Christmas Spirit as if he's hiding some long buried secret or trauma from his past .
Then he;ll suddenly ask you how to "Do Christmas" and can you show him?
Cue going round all the shops , buying loads of lovely gifts (that they will wrap) and delicious treats .
It'll be snowing and you can walk along with piles of boxes and bags (and not drop them)
Then go for hot chocolate and cookies (and not feel sick)
The three of you will go ice skating , you and Charming Child will be brilliant , he will break something ( not serious but enough to have in in a plaster cast )
He'll have to go back to his parents hime to recover

He will of course be fabulously wealthy . His family (who will invite you to spend Christmas with them) will adore you and your Charming Child .

Have just started watching A Royal Christmas Holiday, a brand new one where I recognise neither of the leads (although Billy Baldwin is the contractually obligated grumpy boss) and Sky just lists it as ‘no programme information available’. I’m going to guess the reporter heroine ends up with the really-needs-a-haircut Prince! Already we have the mother desperate to marry her daughter off, they appear to be in a small town scenario going by the local TV station and the prince is on a slightly reluctant mission to open something museum related.

Just watching A Reservation for Christmas (Melissa Joan Hart). I’ve seen it before and it’s not bad. There’s another one with MJH that I love and she’s a baker and the nutcracker comes to life. It’s cute and cheesy

Absolutely love Christmas Inheritance on Netflix. I watch it at least a couple of times each year, normally whilst wrapping presents.
Christmas in the Clouds & Help for the holidays are good too but I haven't found either showing anywhere in recent years (think I originally saw them on a Sunday afternoon of back to back Christmas movies on Ch 5 years ago).

@Shufflebumnessie Christmas in the Clouds is on Prime if you have access to that.

See I'm cool and edgy. I like a bit of sci fi. Christmas Perfection is my favourite cheesy made for TV film.
A cute model village, a weird shop, perfect Christmas Day on repeat, a Christmas jumper mill... and the eternal choice between perfect (but dull) man and your flawed male best friend .
