Paying back the help with my 90s gift, I have just discovered Geek Crate. Basically a bit like Glossy Box but for Anime, Marvel, Star Wars, Pokemon and other ‘nerd type’ interests. I was totally lost for my niece who is massively into Anime and I wouldn’t know where to start. You can buy as a one off box - standard or premium- or as a subscription every 2 months.

inspired by @poostinkywink I had a look on Geek Crate and have ordered a Potter Crate for DD who is Harry Potter obsessed. GEEK20 takes 20% off - so 6-10 mystery items for £31 with free delivery. Now I just have to hope there's no Slytherin items 😬

@Barbiefan thanks for sharing your magic set recommendation. I've just picked up a second hand set for £10 on Vinted.

We have the Tefal Ingenio ones and I really rate them. Sets are often on offer. I like the fact that the handles are removable making them much easier to stack and store.

Can anyone remember how the discounts for Spicery used to come? I've seen a couple of things on there that would make perfect gifts but you know how it is, I don't want to buy them without a discount 😂 For anyone interested, there's a curry advent calendar for a start!

I highly recommend downloading a gift tracking app. I use one called “Christmas Gift List Tracker” and it’s free to use.

Can add all the names of the people you need to buy for, add present ideas, add what’s been purchased, if they’ve arrived, if they’ve been wrapped, set budgets and also put notes to where you may have hidden them. You can even set a password to the app to stop any sneaky looks 😀

Dry robe i got the Samphire one from SportsPursuit for ds. It is very cosy inside. It is still £59, but does feel lovely. Not sure they do a kids version so you might need to check sizes.
