Thanks @snowmanshoes for the title!

Hello everyone, so nice to see you all. Pull up a chair, have a mince pie and a peppermint latte and share your Christmas bargains and ideas. In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

A massive thank you to those who have contributed and/or run the prequel threads this year. I can't believe it's another year! I started these when DD was a baby and she's just gone into Year 8!

Heads up B&M were putting out there letter Christmas sacks. I didn't get a picture but they seem a darker red and has a dark grey fur trim around the top.

Whilst I'm here can anyone recommend anywhere to get decent Christmas wrapping paper. I used to get 3 for 2 on all tags, paper and ribbon at Paperchase every year but now they closed down I'm not sure where else to try, I can't stand thin paper!!

WingingIt101 · 11/09/2023 16:42

I have scrolled and scrolled but I can't find the lady who was looking for a baby Annabelle pee on the potty doll but cheaper - Asda have this one in their roll back online...

If you or someone you know has costco membership I find their paper good - it's double sided too so you get double the amount of designs!

Thegoldgrind · 11/09/2023 16:45

Another vote for Costco wrapping paper! I got a three pack of double sided last year or maybe the year before 🤔 there is still many a year left of it 🤣

I was asking for the buyagift code !
Thank you.

I don't want to derail this thread ....and I have started my own but no replies yet !!

But ...anyone used them for the helicopter ride/experience?

21st birthday present for D's.?

@rainbowripples we had the Bandai badge maker. I bought it for ds1 when he was about 8. He and ds2 (then 6) had hours of fun with it. They took it into school for golden time on a Friday afternoon and let everyone make a badge. You could buy refills for it. They later brought out a new one with different sized badges which I considered for ds3 (he’s 11 years younger than ds1) but in the end I got more refill packs and recycled the old one. It doesn’t seem so long ago that I passed it on and ds1 is 28 now!

Where do you guys buy your more eco friendly wrapping paper from??? Normally I just do brown paper and decorate with old cut up Christmas cards (looks nicer than it sounds honest!) but we have two littles this year and the oldest could start to understand the magic so I need a different paper for Santa presents (however few or many I decide to do from him) but I don't want anything that can't be recycled. And I know lots of wrap has glitter/shiny stuff on that can't be recycled 🤦🏼‍♀️

Eco Christmas ideas www.mumsnet.com/Talk/christmas/4893953-eco-christmas-ideas

I've created an eco thread if anyone has any wrapping paper ideas. Just so I don't derail this thread at all

Michael Kors bargains

Watch Station have a good offer on Michael Kors jewellery/watches in the outlet section. They are already discounted but when you add them to your basket it reduces the price by 40%. I bought earrings originally £59 for £24.60 free delivery.

Ocado are doing M&S bake it yourself kits for 2.65. I assume as it’s M&S it will be available in store.

@HeyBearKeepsMeSane my 5 year old
Loves his. I was a bit skeptical beforehand but I do like it myself, though we have had a few connection issues but they're all sorted now. Some of the free stuff you can download is educational. Weirdly I got a great deal on my sparks card last year, either around Black Friday or a 12 days of Christmas offer

5poundstuff has a pawprint "oodie" on for 12.99 there was also a tick box to apply a £5 discount so works out at 7.99

5poundstuff

Great spot. Watch out for the £5 voucher though- you're signing up to a free trial of something with that. Looks like you can cancel but if you don't you'll end up paying out each month.

Janetstreetwater · 11/09/2023 20:07

Hi everyone…My son has seen some footy boots he really wants for Xmas but they are so expensive! I don’t suppose anyone has a Nike discount code do they please? I would be very grateful.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 11/09/2023 20:10

@ItWillBeDone thank you for being vigilant. I didn't click on it so didn't see the free trial part. That's very sneaky 😐

Twinklemacfinkle · 11/09/2023 20:20

You could buy some stamps a design for each child and make it a tradition that dc1 paper has a snowman stamp and dc2 has a reindeer ( or whatever you like) .

Another idea is maybe using different colour ribbon? I'm sure you can buy a paper type ribbon.

Extra 30% off outlet at Fossil, discount automatically applied to basket, Link

There's another 25% off too with code ADD25 which makes it very tempting. I've got my eye on a few things including a bag that works out under £60, RRP £229 and some card cases for gifts.

Nightsku · 11/09/2023 20:38

Does anyone know if the jellycat Christmas range sell out quick?

My daughter has asked for one for the first time so I have no idea if I need to get it early or I can wait….

She likes otto the Xmas sausage dog.

SpanishSummer · 11/09/2023 20:53

@Janetstreetwater do you have an outlet park near you? I just bought Nike footy boots in adult size 10 for my teen and only paid £40.

Thank you for this extra code. Just had a beautiful leather satchel bag for my mum for Christmas for £69 from £189.

Wildwildwoman · 11/09/2023 21:11
