Anyone else bought themselves a little gift (or two) this year?

I've decided to treat myself to a box of Christmas chocolates from Hotel Chocolat. I'm into fitness/running and nobody every buys me chocolate at Christmas because they think I'll disapprove?! (Definitely not the case!) Every year I watch everyone else opening their chocolates with envy...

I bought myself a fire tablet this year.
I also have a little list of stuff that I buy myself in the sales when I get chuff all from my nearest and dearest!

I'm going to buy myself the biggest bunch of Scilly isle flowers, scented narcissi that I can because I hardly ever get flowers, but I buy them fairly often for other people's occasions. So have decided it's my turn 🙂

I haven't but this is a good idea so now I might buy myself something.

I have to 'organise' most of my presents these days so my parents (abroad) are getting me a huge Lego set (the Lighthouse) and our family is getting a Hotel Chocolat hamper which I will definitely benefit from. DH and I have stopped giving each other presents altogether: he's impossible to buy for and he really struggles to get me something nice without me buying it myself... Oh and like @InconvenientPeg I also buy myself flowers at times.

I’m doing my own gifts this year on DH’s behalf (we mix it up - some years we buy for each other, some years we buy a big ticket item for the house as a shared gift, sometimes I buy for both of us). It’s very low key so a few gifts each, I’m officially done buying now but may get one more each if I see something I/we really want.

So far I’ve got a wool scarf, a set of stacking bracelets, and two Georg Jensen Christmas ornaments. Might win a coat in an eBay auction as well. In which case I’ll have to buy another gift for DH too, to make it fair!

I’ve spent a bit on a some beauty advents and other skincare offers. They are my gift to myself and a nice treat in the run up to Christmas.

Kate Somerville and Oskia skincare that was reduced in the Black Friday sale. DD has hidden it under her bed for me. 😊

Estée Lauder, Liz Earle, Charlotte Tilbury, a new handbag and some boots.

DH will get the usual perfume and some jewellery, a bracelet or ring.

Royal Essence Snow Fairy Scrub (and got sent a free Pot of Gold too one too).

I bought myself some Harrods dark chocolate orange creams. My fave for my fave person 😁

Does it count if they are gifts from a pet ?

My lovely dog had bought me a coach handbag in the Black Friday sales. And my lovely cat has bought me a new pair of new balance trainers.

I have very generous pets!

I've done myself a stocking. No one else will be awake first thing in the morning so I will unwrap it and act delighted. It has:

• a jar of honey
• a mini Prosecco
• some tiny gold earrings
• a book
• a bag of liquorice all sorts
• a face mask

Nothing expensive but just nice small things. I am eyeing a very expensive candle though...

I call these Me-mas presents
I'll be shopping for mine in the few days after Christmas.
In the lead up to Christmas family ask what I would like for Christmas and I tell them what I would like, then they get me something similar or related but not what I said. So after Christmas I buy all of the things I really wanted. Happens every year!

I got a gorgeous coach bag in oxfam last week I'm pretty sure it's the real deal so that's for me for Christmas!

Just ordered some pleasures Estée Lauder perfume after smelling it today when someone walked past. I used to wear it all the time years ago not sure why I stopped.

I buy stuff throughout the year for my stocking which is actually a sack I wrap them in tissue and put them
in a drawer. I don’t remember what else is in there so it will be a nice surprise

I must want to buy some goods this Christmas from ranboo merch official store because it is my favorite.

We are getting a little bonus payment from work this Christmas (a cost of living support payment so they can weasel out of a decent pay rise!) And whilst half of it will probably pay for half a tank of oil, the other half is buying me a pair of lovely walking boots.

I’ve bought myself an Espa body brush and aroma rollers in the sale when I bought dh some skincare to take me upto the spending amount to receive a free skincare set in a lovely little travel bag also for me. I’ve wrapped them both up and put them under the tree with jokey gift tags on.

They are great. That brought back happy memories of a Christmas trying to roller blade through inches of snow

Brilliant t. I do this too. I buy one thing each month for my stocking! But as I always forget what I've got it is always fun. I did end up with two identical lipsticks one year. Must have really liked that lipstick.

I know I have a couple of books. A lipstick and a new notebook (every year). The rest will be a "oh yes I remember" moment.
