Not seen a thread for this year yet but know there is always discussion when they are out!
Thought it would be good to include links!

Looks like John Lewis etc will be released back end of the coming week, based on last year.

I know Very is out already.

This is TKMaxx. Underwhelming I thought.

I'm interested to see what the tone is this year with a lot of people struggling with cost of living... maybe less extravagant and more saving?!

Oooo love a good Christmas ad!!

Hoping the they’ll go for heartwarming this year. In the past I loved:

• John Lewis Edgar dragon
• John Lewis penguins
• M&S Paddington
• Sainsbury’s World War trenches
• Sainsbury’s Mog

I preferthe more traditional type adverts I think, all those you have mentioned @ChristmasCwtch
Didn't like John Lewis last year! Excited to see what they have done this year!

I am praying JL have ditched the 'woke' adverts and gives us a nostalgic advert from years ago.

Please can we we not be told this year how to behave and just sell us very Christmassy stuff we don't need.

I’d totally forgotten about the JL alien last year!! That one didn’t stay in my head. I thought it was the weird hug on a bus or whatever they did they did the year before.

Hope it’s a good one!! I’m primed to buy the accompanying book and pjs for my DC if it’s a cute one 😂

Not really what you're looking for, but I am heartily sick of the Balsam Hill advert. "Have a happier Christmas with one of our trees" 😡the inference being that any Christmas without an overpriced BH tree will be shit. Tree alone does not a happy Christmas make.

Yep. Not a popular view on here, but the woke ads do my head in. Most Christmas ads so far this year do seem like a lot of box ticking has been going on. It's actually tedious and predictable now.

@MammaWeasel I've not seen that one! We have a B&Q tree and one from The Range! Never noticed an impact on our Christmas because of them! 😂

I quite like the M&S food one. Maybe a 7/10 😂

Hope JL have got back to form- my favourite advert ever is the “please, please, please, let me get what I want” one from years ago, with the little boy waiting to give his mum and dad their present.

Edgar the dragon was so sweet! I always like the Aldi adverts, with Kevin and his friends.

Watched the M&S advert (not the food one with Dawn French.) I thought it was awful, nothing Christmassy about that at all!

I am so conditioned by the JL ads now that even if it was just a re-run of those bizarre caffeine shampoo adverts, I would burst into tears and I bloody hate myself for it.
