I've got orajel here but the pain is sort of down inside the tooth so it isn't really helping.
Glad to hear the root canal wasn't so bad Wreck - I have visions of me wincing despite the anaesthetic. I'm such a wimp 😂

WreckTangled · 02/11/2022 15:15

Honestly I have had so many bad experiences at the dentist (once the dentists hand slipped and he punched me, another time their machinery stopped working after I was numbed up, I had to have a lot of work as a child as my teeth came through with no enamel and I fainted etc) but this was fine. I think when I have to have another one I might ask if I can listen to music or a podcast.

we’ve got no power, and I’m cold.

CrazyBaubles · 02/11/2022 16:08

I'm taking headphones with me - it's as much the idea of them being in my face with their hands in my mouth 🤢 as it is being scared it's going to hurt so a distraction would be good.

It's freezing here too Wreck, and dark and hammering down. Very wintery, and will probably be nice when I get back later and switch the heating on.

WreckTangled · 02/11/2022 16:50

Ds just noticed that the radiators are warm, they must have come in earlier which means the sitting room dropped below 16°.

Hope it goes well crazy I spend my whole time at the dentist doing grounding techniques that I usually do with ds!

NoWordForFluffy · 02/11/2022 18:12

How did it go, Crazy?

Our lounge was 15.2° earlier. It's only just above 16° now, so I've put the heating back on! Freezing and wet here. Must've been bad, as the starlings didn't come for their dinner, which is unusual.

No power again, Wreck? It's been bad recently, hasn't it?

I'm home. They numbed both sides of my gum so I can't feel half my face but I'm already assuming I'm going to be very sore when the drugs wear off.
I told the dentist I was nervous so I listened to an audiobook while the treatment was happening. Made the awful noises much easier to deal with.

I have a prearranged catch up with a friend tonight (she's coming to mine) and it's been ages so I didn't want to cancel. Regretting it now but she's already on her way.

Cold here too. I set the heating to 15° and switched itself on while I was out.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/11/2022 21:05

Got 2 loads of washing done , DH hung it out today , when I got home he'd put some in the tumble drier to finish
"What about my lovely new Dri-Soon" , he gave me A Look . He knows it's there , he assembled it Xmas Shock

On Friday I'm going to drop my DS at the gym and try and make a start on some of my List , it'll hopefully be easier than a weekend .
I bought some nice pillowcases that needed picked up from instore .

I'm looking for nice pyjamas for DD but not seen any that catch my eye yet .

🎄52 🎄

I'm awake because my painkillers have worn off & I rolled onto the sore side of my face 😩
Feeling sorry for myself so may watch something festive while the painkillers kick back in.

WreckTangled · 03/11/2022 05:44

Hope you got some sleep crazy I watched two cheesy Christmas films yesterday, although I didn’t get to finish the second one before the power went off.

I think lots of roads are flooded round here and it’s meant to keep raining until lunch time. Annoying as I need to drive somewhere but will have to go the long way round.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 03/11/2022 07:09

Hope you get rid of the pain soon Crazy. Why do our bodies always decide to go for the painful option? You would think they would avoid pain.

It's pouring here Wreck and has been since yesterday evening. I will need a boat to pick my daughter up.

I have just started my second lot of antibiotics as Dr still thinks the chest infection is kicking my arse. I feel horrible. Covid has wiped me out completely. Signed off till 14th currently.

DreamingofItaly2023 · 03/11/2022 08:35

I hope you managed to get some sleep crazy

Swimming and library for us this morning then this afternoon I am making a chicken pie with roast leftovers and some banana bread as I have some very black bananas.

my John Lewis parcel is due to arrive this afternoon too so that is exciting.

DreamingofItaly2023 · 03/11/2022 08:36

Gosh why you are really suffering. I really hope things start to improve soon Flowers

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 03/11/2022 08:56

Thanks Dreaming much appreciated.

NoWordForFluffy · 03/11/2022 09:25

Morning!

Our weather is the polar opposite to yesterday! Bright sunshine. ☀️

I hope you're feeling a bit better now, Crazy.

CrazyBaubles · 03/11/2022 11:41

Thanks all. I managed a good 5 hours of broken sleep. Hoping that means I'll be exhausted later and will nod off easily.

Pain is still there - it was awful when I woke but seems to have dulled a bit now (with the help of painkillers). I hate the dentist!

What Christmas films did you watch Wreck?

why Are you able to rest up while you're off? I hope you get better soon.
Agree that bodies can be crap and often seem to be working against us!

We have blue sky and sunshine right now but it's 🥶 so I've got bedsocks on, thick cardigan and a hot water bottle.
I'm too scared to drink hot tea though.

WreckTangled · 03/11/2022 19:34

I can’t remember what they were called crazy they were ones I hadn’t seen before and were on prime.

TheWoollybacksWife · 04/11/2022 12:48

🎄51🎄

On my way back from a half term trip to Amsterdam. Definitely starting to think more about Christmas shopping. I've got a trip with my DDs on Sunday to look forward to.

WreckTangled · 04/11/2022 13:47

There’s lots of Christmas in the shops now. And the school I was at this morning had children singing Christmas carols Grin

I need to do some packing as it’s all go for a week tomorrow! Get the keys on Monday….!

NoWordForFluffy · 04/11/2022 17:53

Oh wow, bet you can't wait to have more space. And you've time to get sorted before Christmas too! 🎄🎅🏻

When are you actually moving?

DD's on another sleepover tonight, so it's just DS here. They're both sleeping at my inlaws' tomorrow as we're going to a gig so will be back late. She'll be knackered come Sunday! 😴

CrazyBaubles · 04/11/2022 18:09

Very exciting Wreck! Have you started packing yet?

We're away visiting some of DHs family (but staying in a really cute b&b) for the weekend so we've been to the beach this afternoon. Was freezing (and made my tooth/jaw/face hurt) but still, it's nice to be away from home!

WreckTangled · 04/11/2022 20:33

Next Saturday!

Yes crazy we have, we’ve also done lots of tip runs, well dh has…

WreckTangled · 05/11/2022 07:22

Morning. I had a flat tyre yesterday and dh found a 2” screw in it so now I’ve got the spare on. Really annoying as I can’t go over 60 with that on.

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2022 08:56

Morning!

That's annoying, Wreck. Screws are a pain in the arse for that.

I'm relaxing this morning before going across to Leeds to watch Biffy (with Architects in support). DH is coming with me. Don't think we've been to a gig together since I was pregnant with DD!

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 05/11/2022 22:47

Evening. We're on a weekend away visiting DHs family and signal is rubbish. Have enjoyed cream tea, cold beach walks and seeing people I haven't seen since before Covid. It's been nice.

Hope you've had a good time at the gig Fluffy 🥳

CrazyBaubles · 06/11/2022 07:59

🎄49🎄

Morning. Ddog woke me at 6:30 and I've been awake since. Been listening to Christmas playlists on the classic fm app (thorough headphones) and browsing online while led in bed.
Up soon. Pack (somehow my stuff is everywhere), then breakfast and on the road. Should be home around lunchtime.
