Luckily most places price match when it's Black Friday, so I may be able to spend my Nectar points on it. Though if there's a decent Nectar points offer somewhere, I'll pay cash if I can't also earn points with the purchase of I'm spending them!

I'm definitely starting to think more about presents. DS is sorted apart from his yard of Oreos and stocking bits but he has pretty much the same things every year so I can do that without too much effort.

DD2 knows what she wants and I've started haranguing DD1 to come up with ideas. Their stockings will mostly be sorted at half term when we go on our shopping trip.

Shame I can't sort Why's son for his birthday next month for love nor money, mind you!

I got a couple of presents yesterday for DD, she had her eye on a reversible octopus snuddie in primark so I picked one up while I saw it in her size, also picked up a Stranger Things novel that I think she will like. I'm pretty pissed off that the Hogwarts game she wanted for Christmas has now been delayed again and won't be available until at least February though.

I’m sick to death of this heat, I’m so ready for autumn. To me, as soon as it’s September it really starts to feel like ‘Christmas is just around the corner’ so bring on next month!

I never have too many presents to buy (no DC) but I’m going to start making a list of things to cook/bake over Christmas, and places we might want to go to!

We have a Fire which DS uses occasionally fluffy and we have had no problems, ours is the adult one and DS uses it fine.

I've got her a couple of HP plushes that I spotted in home bargains so yeah I can do that, good idea. Luckily she's old enough that we have had "that" conversation and will understand why "Santa" can't just magic one up for her.

No rain here yet but it's fresher than it has been for a while. I managed to work through my ironing pile and I've actually done a bit of housework (over and above the stuff that had to be done for hygiene's sake) for the first time in a week.

Are you sure about the countdown? This is from the app on my phone we always have to recalculate at least once a year

QVC have Christmas things today and tomorrow .
I'm going to buy the DC Hotel Chocolat this year , not the Cadburys Tower of Disappointment that I bought last year . Won't be from QVC as they deliver in November and the little swine will eat them !
