It feels bizarre setting up the first Christmas thread on one of the hottest days of the year, yet here we are!

Lovely to see you all; take a seat and grab a mince pie as they get passed around.

Please do alert me to anything for the next thread's page of links (I'm starting fresh this year). Hope you've had a good year and looking forward to celebrating and sharing our bargain buys.

£9.95 Whistlefish delivery @CarrotCarrotCucumber Shock Shock

Apologies if this has been posted already but Zavvi have 3 for 2 Lego sets until midnight tonight - usual cost around £50 each. My MN experience has never recovered from the site changeover (I still can't use the app at all) so if there is any way of viewing the whole thread I'd be grateful to learn it - I used to view all posts and then search for (for example) Zavvi to see if anyone posted, but have no way of doing it now!

This looked like a good offer but the 3 £45 sets I was interested in seem to be selling for around £30 each in other places anyway so the saving isn't nearly as good as it first looks.

CarrotCarrotCucumber · 22/08/2022 15:07

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl , I was sufficiently put out by the £9.95 that I asked them when the usual postage would be back- turns out the FedEx delivery is only there if you're ordering frames or art, so my mistake thinking the cheap delivery had disappeared. It's definitely overkill for an 8"x10" photo frame, though, so that's coming out of my basket!

24 crayola colouring pens on amazon have a voucher you can use so only cost £3.75 - normally £7.89. Good stocking filler.

can’t do clicky links, sorry: CRAYOLA SuperTips Washable Felt Tip Colouring Pens, 24 Count (Pack of 1) amzn.eu/d/3rOdTVk

Tesco also have these at the same price on a club card offer. Plus there’s £5 off £25 spend on stationery/ back to school stuff which it says they are included in

Just seen this gift box of 8 bath bombs advertised elsewhere half price on Amazon for £3.50 with 50% of voucher applied. great reviews. If added to subscribe and save it drops to £3.14.

Bath bombs

£4 39 postage though!

EverydayIsPJday · 22/08/2022 18:01

@Flubadubba I think the original deal has ended unfortunately as I grabbed it on prime free del for £3.50 (or £3.14 subscribe). I expect it was very popular.

EricandEnid · 22/08/2022 18:02

Has anyone received their mini radios from Urban Outfitters yet? Evri just keeps saying they are expecting them…

Terfydactyl · 22/08/2022 18:28

Hope this will help someone but it's a bit random
Childs safety helmets, £1.69 with free postage I think (I ordered 3 and it was free)
I know its random but a child wants to go to diggerland (so do I) and if I get that one child a hard hat then the others will feel left out, so I've got these and am ordering stickers to decorate with. So they can tell who's is who hat

On the subject of bath bombs, I would say it’s really worth holding out for the offers on Bomb Cosmetics bath bomb sets on Amazon. There are some very overpowering scented bath bombs out there for great prices but last year I bought the Bomb Cosmetics bath bomb sets and they are handmade with natural ingredients and so much nicer than any others I’ve tried.

my kids got them as a gift and I was suitably impressed so bought some more for myself 😂. I got some really cheap offers in the run up to Christmas and will definitely buy them again this year. They’re much nicer than some of the others out there.

there is also a 50% off sale on their own website at the moment. I recommend the bath mallows and creamers as they are filled with shea butter and are really very moisturising.

they usually come individually wrapped so they’re very nice as stocking fillers. They start at £1.35 in the sale so worth having a look.

I have this too. Irritating.

AlabamaWorley22 · 22/08/2022 19:52

NB on the subject of bomb cosmetics bath bombs, the code SUPERDAD gets you 10% off.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 22/08/2022 20:16

Incase anyone is after oodie type hoodies, primark has their snuddies in. We saw a reversible octopus, cherry print, lilac dinosaur print in the ladies section. A tie dye, avocado and kawaii type food print in the kids section (matching pjs available too). Marvel and dragon ball z in the mens section.

Dd2 fell in love with the dinosaur one but I had to steer her away as I already have the 5poundshop ones 🤣

ChristmasSirens · 22/08/2022 20:40

Does anyone have any recommendations for a dino mad 4 year old? 😊

Scout2016 · 22/08/2022 20:45

Thanks @AlabamaWorley22 I have taken a punt. My DD is always wanting bath bombs and I always refuse, but it seems Father Christmas is less of a meanie.
(I've heard rumour that a hefty sale and a discount code make him more kindly disposed to such things.)

Sheknowtheyrhinestones · 22/08/2022 20:48

Tesco have the giant paddington for baby Teddy reduced to £15. It really is a lovely gift for baby or paddington fan.
Also glamglow have 50% site wide sale and free delivery.

AlabamaWorley22 · 22/08/2022 20:54

Haha I used to refuse too but after the kids got them (and I sneakily borrowed one to try), I decided they weren’t so bad after all. Especially these ones as they are lovely and natural. Feet up, bath bomb, some great tv on the iPad, glass of wine… you’ll thank me for this.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 22/08/2022 21:18

@Flubadubba
Sorry that would have helped 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's on Very

FoxsSocks1 · 22/08/2022 21:25

@Sheknowtheyrhinestones was that in store or online? My DS loves the adventures of paddington on Netflix 🥰

Bananaman123 · 22/08/2022 21:35

Instore. It is in the baby section with nappies etc not the toy aisle. I have checked online and they only have the smaller version at the club card price, which is still a good deal but the jumbo one is reduced to clear and half price

Bananaman123 · 22/08/2022 22:15

Our primark already has some oodies and cosy pjs

Bananaman123 · 22/08/2022 22:19

Bomb cosmetics site has sale on now and for cheap sets beauty outlet get them in very early
