Shitloads to do, so dh decides today is the day to sort out “his corner”, looking for a specific cable. Came back from walking the dog to find the lounge in a right state.
I know it will be sorted, but why today?

Stressing that the fridge doesn’t seem cold enough. Probably because it’s so bloody full. Apart from that I feel remarkably calm which is astonishing given how murderously wound up I’ve felt all week. Fruit salad just made, sausage rolls in the oven and so far no covid, unlike last Christmas. Fingers crossed for a lovely Christmas tomorrow with our families

Ugh that is annoying! We've been isolating until yesterday and having a toddler stuck at home has made it v v hard to work. The house looks horrendous and my DS has removed all the baubles from the lower half of the tree and I can't find them. They will be in one of his hoards, I keep finding his hiding places for stuff I'd given up for lost. I've still got loads of work to do before tomorrow as well. I always look forward to Xmas and it is always knackering.

Want to get prepping but sat outside the house in the sodding car as toddler DD fell asleep on the way back from the shops 🙄

New kitchen flooring fitted yesterday (and small bit of plastering) the place is filthy!! Dh decided to go shopping at 7 am and is now complaining he is shattered already..

DD1 also broke her wrist on Saturday so we aren’t terribly festive here!

After 20 years of wanting one, finally, I ordered myself a Fortnum & Mason hamper, lovely. Then my kid took to items to the school food bank.

Oh, and we left it too late to buy any Christmas crackers, so now we don’t have any. Disaster!!!

May be able to get some cheap after (we are just us tomorrow but have family/friends round during the next week) but apparently they’ve already got rid of Christmas stock in various shops. I suppose there will be Easter eggs in their place by new year

I'm poorly, DH is poorly and both of us feel a bit shit. We are fine to get up and get on with the day but I really hate being not well at Christmas (it's not covid before anyone suggests a test! I've done 2 PCR's and daily lat flows)
I've got so much to do but when I move around for more than 10 minutes my chest really hurts 😞

Dtwins have been arguing all day over anything and everything, my head feels like it might explode.

DP had a positive laterflow last night. Mine was negative. We both done a PCR this morning and won’t have the results for 24-48 hours so we’re isolating. I am absolutely devastated. We have little in for Christmas dinner as we were supposed to be going to my parents. DS age 2 seems absolutely fine and had a negative lateral flow too. But Christmas feels empty this year.

Washing machine just broke and leaked everywhere in the middle of washing everything to pack for going away tomorrow.

Now everything is still dirty and soaking

H and I separated last month, but are still living together until January. We agreed that we’d do Christmas together with the DCs, put our happy faces on for their sakes - which I’m fine with. I can compartmentalise pretty well, and let’s face it: it’s Christmas! The whole point of it for me is to spend it having fun with my DCs, and all my grown up problems can wait. Ex-H however, has been walking round with a face like a smacked arse all morning, snapping at the DCs for breathing, and all I want to do is tell him to fuck all the way off to his mums and stop putting a downer on the kids’ day!

Morrisons didn't bring my mince pies and there are non in co-op. The house is a mess and D(ick)H is messing on his laptop rather than actually doing something. Couldn't possibly be feeling less festive.

Just trying to have a conversation about what of all the lovely things I've spent ages planning we are going to do and when and the kids are shouting rude words, DH won't get off his phone and is being quite resentful about the idea that we'd have a conversation despite literally being in room for that only purpose.

All so minor but the blissful joy has been replaced by stress creeping up my body from toes, feeling unappreciated and cross. Then of course I'm the cross one ruining Christmas and OH can be fun dad.

I tested positive for Covid on Wed. We were meant to be going to my sisters for Christmas, the first year in a long time I was going to get my Christmas Dinner cooked for me and we were all so looking forward to it.
DH is currently defrosting a turkey crown that we were going to have in the new year and trying to give him prep/ cooking instructions from the bedroom.

I'm so tired. Not decorated yet. Finally got tree up at least. Have so much tidying and cleaning to do. Got two people coming tomorrow who keep going on about things being wasteful and I'm pre-fuming already as for them not to "be wasteful" I had to buy extra stuff. I've decided I prefer boxing day.

So I’ve been eating super healthy recently and recently got down to my pre baby weight (baby is nearly three!), lost four stone in total so very happy.

Yesterday I began merrily tucking into mince pies, Pringles etc as part of my week eating what the hell I like. Today I feel sick as a dog! Keep having waves of nausea I have to sit down for. What an idiot!
