Does anyone ever actually eat it?

Every year I fall for the pretty box and every year it gets left.

I love panetonne!

We eat about 3 over Christmas. Cut in wedges with unsalted President butter. Or in buttered and dunked in coffee. With clementines.

Also planning to try the Jamie O ice cream pudding made with panetonne.

Last night my dh made a panettone dessert and it was so light and lovely. Basically it was the mini ones, thickly sliced and layered with warmed sliced manderine and vanilla whipped cream then with a teaspoon on rum over the top.

We've bought one every year for the past 5 or so years and indeed it is very much eaten!!!

😲 must try this! I know it makes brilliant bread and butter pudding 😊

In Italy, you're either team Panettone or team Pandoro (bit like madeira cake in a star shape dusted with icing sugar). I personally like panettone best. Don't tell my Italian family, but toasted with loads of butter is amazing and it makes a mean bread and butter pudding.

I love pannetone, only one in my house that enjoys it. Always call it Pam n Tony though, not sure where that's come from.
