What’s your favourite cheese?

I love cheese - it’s a real indulgence at Christmas. I like to get a few different sorts in and always try something new. What are your favourites and recommendations that I can look out for this year?

Prima Donna. It’s a mix of Parmesan and gouda, delicious.

Caws Cenarth - cheddar and leek one.

When I go to my festive gift fairs I always get sticky toffee flavour. It's well nice

The courtyard dairy have a fantastic selection. They're not far from Settle and do online

I'm so hungry.
I love the German smoked one in a sausage shape at Christmas and only then
But love a creamy lancashire and a good red Windsor too

Hubby is a huge fan of Hereford Hop.

Though I think it's now called Worcestershire Hop for legal reasons

Roquefort hands down.

Most French cheese, Italian cheese, Spanish cheese, German cheese, some British cheese. I hate danish type cheeses.

Just had some Cornish Yarg for breakfast, tasted lovely. Also like all goats cheese , especially the cave aged one.

Oh what a thread. Very little cheese I dont like except overly strong cheddars and anything too smokey.

Faves are gorgonzola and cambozola

I've read this entire thread and concluded that my favourite cheese is cheese.
The more it stinks, the more I like it, but I don't discriminate, even cheap cheese slices have a place in my tummy.

A lovely crumbly Cheshire Cheese. Appleby's smoked is lovely on a cracker with a good chutney.

If you love cheese you should head up to the Nantwich Agricultural Show. It has the largest cheese tent in the world with competitors from all over the place. Plenty of free sampled for the ardent cheese fan.

Cheese heaven at the Nantwich Show, hopefully it's on in 2022.

My mum used to work there. Took the kids to the factory (cheese shed) several times to show them how it's made.

Unfortunately both my boys have developed lactose intolerance, probably from too much cheese but they still indulge occasionally when they don't have work the next day.

DH knows me so well and got me a box from Pong last year. Love their selections.

Cambozola...Highly recommended

I can’t eat it now as I developed a dairy intolerance😭but Wensleydale with ginger and Black Dub Blue were my two favourites. Blacksticks Blue is another and I had a taste of one with truffle recently and it was amazing. They only make it for Christmas.
