Hope you all find me ok

@EightToSixer clearly knows something I don’t about neom boxes 🤣.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Has anyone read The Christmas Pig yet? we are just listening to the audiobook. It is quite upsetting in parts - violence, divorce x 2, difficult blended family and the loss of a stuffed toy the little boy has had his whole life. Both my 8 year old DS and I were in tears in parts. And it is LONG before the Christmas Pig is introduced.

Castle arts have some good Black Friday deals. I just ordered the van goh tin for my dd as we saw the exhibition in the summer. Spin the wheel for extra discount- I got 10% off with code OE51HG4HIYC5 but not sure if one time use only. So under £12 and free delivery too.

ILikeBiscuits · 20/11/2021 23:42

I ordered my £5:90 Cadbury’s Dairy Milk a few minutes after midnight on the morning of 11 November. According to my Amazon account it hasn’t been despatched yet, and “arriving 25 November - 11 December”.

Just a thought if you’re considering it for Christmas presents.

I've seen posters ask for Fidgets. Perfume (amazing copies all parfum not edt) and crystals on the last couple of threads.

I've bought all recently from friends or friends of friends on Facebook if anyone wants their info. I prefer to buy from individuals.

@1stTimeMama

After seeing so many people buying diffusers, I'm now wondering if or why I might need one for myself for Christmas?! Can anyone tell me what the point of them is? Are they just an alternative thing to the Febreeze plug in for example, to make everything smell nice? Are there any real benefits to having one?
I have been thinking exactly the same thing. I have bad asthma and the air in the house gets very dry in the winter with the heating on. I bought a humidifier last year so sure I don't need a diffuser but wondering......
Louise5754 · 20/11/2021 23:45

Sorry the mugs were Asda and the chocolate toppers are from Aldi.

imnottoofussed · 20/11/2021 23:46

Ooh my Cadbury is arriving tomorrow wonder if I've ordered a different one to others. I only ordered it today at £5.90

Thank you for posting this, I love JK & bought it planning as our prechristmas family bedtime read but mine are all devoted to their special cuddlies so suspect it would cause upset, will use as a daytime read instead Smile
RonaldosShirt · 21/11/2021 00:15

We're 100 pages into Christmas Pig and not enjoying it sadly. Agree the themes were a bit full on for a young kid's Christmss story. Also the different areas of the Land of the Lost are difficult to keep track of and explain to children (and not enough pictures!).

ILikeBiscuits · 21/11/2021 00:26

@imnottoofussed, I can’t remember where I ordered the £5.90 chocolate from but the delivery information says Sold by: Amazon EU S.a.r.L.

QueenOfCakeandCoffee · 21/11/2021 00:27

Can anyone recommend a good 3D pen for a 9yr old please?

LastStarFighter · 21/11/2021 00:29

Thanks @Martinisarebetterdirty @Justhereforthechristmasthreads @NoSquirrels I went with the clever suggestion of a snoopy T-shirt. Got a very nice long sleeved one from ASOS. Thank you for the suggestions - you are all wonderful!

Yes mine says that too

Ashmonster · 21/11/2021 01:24

@Puffalicious

I've missed so much today!!! Funnily enough I was on JL earlier looking at sodastream unaware of the glitch drama! They have one for £49.99 as do Argos and Robert Dyas. Anyone seen it cheaper anywhere?
I saw them at £40 in Tesco's yesterday (Saturday).
PenguinTattoo · 21/11/2021 01:34

I received an email from JL with tracking details, but only for one YSL item...

slithytoveisascientist · 21/11/2021 01:41

@2319inprogress it’s really long as well I’m not sure you’d manage it in a night. We stopped chapter 14 just as we were getting to Land of the Lost, in all honesty the first 13 chapters could have been reduced to “this is Jack and his DP and oh no he has lost DP he is going to find him”. Didn’t need all the broken family stuff. There was other stuff as well - moving schools and leaving a best friend - DS was really upset at the thought poor soul. And he isn’t particularly sensitive - has listened to all the Harry potters without issue.

slithytoveisascientist · 21/11/2021 01:42

DP - the name of the stuffie

slithytoveisascientist · 21/11/2021 01:44

@RonaldosShirt I’m
Not!

I kept blurting our rubbish like

Naughty daddy
Poor Jack
Now he has to move?
Oh hollys not nice
Holly is horrible!
Now Toby is involved?
Can’t Jack catch a break?

It was just way too much negativity.

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 21/11/2021 06:21

Oh I was thinking of getting the Christmas pig but it sounds hard work!

I've finally got the last bits from my WHSmith order. All in all it was a bargain!

DS now wants a heroes advent calendar instead of a Minecraft one. Happy days as it's only a fiver at tesco.

Barbie bargain at Amazon. Pic attached

Need to buy some furniture from Argos so a big spend. I'd be grateful for any codes that are still around please

PigeonPigPie · 21/11/2021 06:38

I would also love an emma bridgeater referral code if anyone has one x

Bezzi · 21/11/2021 06:55

I need to buy a hoverboard 😬 Any recommendations or bargains please? Possibly one with a kart thing too. Or anyone know of a discount code for Curry's please?

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 21/11/2021 06:55

Yesterday I was in M&S and they had loads of Percy merch in. I could have bought it all but just got a fleece throw blanket with pigs on. Very cute. Labelled £12.50 but scanned at £10. The Percy shopping bags are cute too! 🐷

I was going to give it as a gift but may need to rethink. Or read prior to gifting (if I can get off MN threads)
