OK, i feel like im about to burst and its getting worse every day so i think i need to write it all down..

Im 20 and have 2 ds's and this is my first xmas on my own, Im not spending it with my mum because she moved away a while ago and cant get down there, Im not spending it with my dps family as they do not like me or anyone there ds goes out with and have sworn not to invite me this year even though ive been seeing him a year now.

I was supposed to be spending it with my brothers who live in the midlands like me but they were in a little car crash and the car was written off luckily no one was hurt but now i have no way off getting to theres on xmas so that has been cancelled.

Yes its bothering me that i am spending xmas with so few ppl this year but it would be bearable if i had even a little money to do it with.

See income support have cut my money off because i refuse to claim child maintanence as it would cause stress and possibly harm to me and my boys leaving me in a bad state with money, add that onto the fact that i already have a 3 1/2 grand debt that i cant pay off and the council are threatening to kick me out and its just dire, This week i cant even afford to buy milk for ds2 and next week ill be lucky if i can buy nappies...

I have barely any food in the house and no drink other than water so i cant make an xmas dinner other than cheap chips and beans, I havnt even brought many presents for the boys because moneys tight but i have run up a debt now with littlewoods on creditto buy them what i have.

Add to this the fact that my ds1 is 3 on the 29th and then theres news years eve which will be spent in the same was as xmas then u might grasp how im feeling at the moment..

I just dont know how to cope this year or even if ill have a house the next one if things carry on the way they are..

If you got this far then thanks for listening to me...

Hi WR, I've been following this thread daily and you sound very upbeat, a lot more happier than your original post. Doesn't it just melt your heart when people come together at times like this. I'm glad things are looking brighter for you.

This morning I got out all my sons xmas presents, I had forgotten what I'd bought him and I was pleasantly surprised at how much we had managed to get him on such a tight budget.

I'm trying to get on top of my housework too but instead I'm sat here on MN, I'm going into hospital on thursday to have my baby so want everything in order for when we come out, it will only be a few days til xmas and I dont want to have to clean when I could be spending time with my new daughter.

Let us know how you are getting on xx

Hello wilted

Here's my list of achievement:-

*Washed dishes
*Cleaned down kitchen surfaces
*Located and gathered all cat toys and out in corner of room so they can loose them under the sofa again
*tidyed stuff off coffee table n put away
*emptied DP's 7million ashtrays
*wiped down coffee table
*tidyed living room - it was baaaad!
*put clean clothes away (nearly everything I own was in piles on the floor waiting to see the inside of the wardrobe again!)
*put away dry crocks

That's the lot!

I can not move fast enough to manage any more than that in the allotted time (actually, I can't move much at all now, my hips have siezed up and are unwilling to hold up my weight!)

How've you faired today?

Alambil · 17/12/2007 19:57

Hey Rose,

I am so extremely sorry but the package is still waiting to be sent. I have had a total financial crisis this week (in that I've got absolutely no money - not even £1 until Wednesday when my benefits go in.)

I will post it on Weds but then, it's so close to Xmas that it may be late

I feel so rotten doing that but I really couldn't afford to post it this week - I am so very, very sorry

Hope you like it all anyway when it arrives - it is all in a nappy box absolutely full to bursting!

TheWiltedRose · 17/12/2007 21:41

o crap well there goes my good mood
The bailiffs came today as i was in bed feeling rotton and i have to give them £220 immidietly plus they charged £24 for the visit

There not even waiting til new year to hassle me there doing it now when theres no money i can give spare and its really pissed me off, The debt is an old council tax bill that i shouldnt even be paying as it belonged to my xp too and was 600 which ive been paying off for a year and a half already and there nothing i can do about his half except pay it off because its in my name

This sets me back a lot as there now my main priority and every other debt that is mounting up is going to have to be ignored again...

Morning Wilted,
I hope today is a better day than yesterday!
Sorry to hear about the baliffs!
You do know that you don't have to let them in and they can't come in if they have to break a door/window to do it so as long as your doors and windows are shut they're shut out! I know it's pretty useless information now, but remember it incase there's a next time.
My basic rule is that if I'm not expecting anyone I don't open the door.
If the baliffs came round does that mean there was a court case in action at the time? If it does you should have gone and negotiated a payment plan with them. The courts won't force you to pay a monthly/weekly amount that you can't afford so you could have been paying this debt off at £1/50p per week. (My dad's a magistrate so I'm not just talking out of my arse!)
At the end of the day you are legally obliged to pay your debts but the law puts the health and welfare of you and your children first.
You really really need to get down to that citizens advice buro!!!

Pk616 · 18/12/2007 20:34

Are you ok Wilted?

cba · 18/12/2007 20:44

wilted, i have not read the whole thread, but i have three children two of which are boys and i am in the process of getting rid of a load of stuff.

Of the top of my head I have hot wheels gorilla attack, it has hardly been used, you can have it I will also put new batteries in it for you.

I might also have some other bits if you let me know what age your boys are.

I will post these things to you free i was only going to take them to the local charity shop.

I would like to keep identity to myself, so if you could supply me with an email address i will email you direct.

I'm glad you're ok, well apart from the headaches!
Get yourself better lass

NotquiteChristmasyet · 19/12/2007 20:28

Echoing that. Hope that you feel better soon. A visit to the CAB could well help the headaches too, which may well be brought on by stress. Do let them help you out with all of this. They won't judge you. They are trained to offer practical advice to people who need it, and are brilliant. It will be a weight off your mind if you can get in there before Christmas, y'know.

In the meantime, I finally got in touch with your local churches. The lady vicar thought that St Leonards would be your nearest - it's a big white building next to the Town Hall, apparently, in Walsall Street. She said that you would be really welcome. There will be lots of kids there on Christmas Day. The service starts at 10.30 am and there will be some chocolates after the service for the kids. There's a section off to the side with toys in it where you can go and sit, if you want to. As you go in, there will be a couple of people whose job it is to say hello to everyone, and they can direct you towards the kiddies area. No-one will mind at all if kids wander around during the service.

You mentioned that you might be nearer St Chads in Connaught Road. She said that there weren't so many children there, but that you would still be very welcome if that is nearer. The morning service there begins at 10.15am.

And she said that they would be carol singing in Bilston shopping centre on Saturday morning, if you want to say hello to her. (She will be the one with the white vicar's collar)

TheWiltedRose · 19/12/2007 22:53

Look after yourself hun

NotquiteChristmasyet · 21/12/2007 21:34

Oh good. Glad you found a nice church nearby, Rose. A pentecostal church should mean a lively service too.
