After a crappy, stressful year (ttc with no succes, a lot of blood tests, a lot of work, a lot of stress) DH and I are making our Christmas lists. I've finished everyone's presents, but my list is pretty much empty (an electric blanket & a couple of books)

Any ideas? What would you like to get for Christmas?

Please inspire me, fellow mumsnetters

I'd like
Some new black flat boots.
Lego flowers set
A pile of books.
A craft course to do in the new year
Some luxurious warm socks for when I'm working from home
Some glamorous long hair pin/fork things. The kind you shove into a bun to hold it up.
Some fancy bubble bath. Maybe rituals. Or good old Roger etc Gallet.

cricketmum84 · 15/10/2021 08:20

Tbh I'm really struggling with this too!! All I have in my list so far is the Lakeland heated airer which I'll probably buy for myself this month and a cheese advent calendar! Maybe some really good quality fluffy socks as I have nerve damage in my feet and they are always freezing!

Following for more ideas 🤓

I want an icecream maker this year.

Pyewackect · 15/10/2021 08:25

I want a garden cart . Ive wanted one for years but my DH doesn't believe me!
Now its become a bit of a joke.. I always ask for one and never get it ..

Cantstopthewaves · 15/10/2021 08:26

A nice leather purse. Thinking Lakeland Leather.
A bottle of Molecule 01
A really lovely new hot chocolate mug ( I need to browse for ideas)
I'd like some some silver stud earrings
Scottish Fine Soaps Au Lait toiletries.

orangejuicer · 15/10/2021 08:26

My first thought was sleep which probably isn't helpful!

Time off to relax
Your favourite things
Someone else to do the cooking?

ExplodingCarrots · 15/10/2021 08:26
  • A Kuddly (oodie rival but better apparently)
  • New hot water bottle
  • Polaroid camera - going to start a scrap / adventure book and put Polaroids from special occasions in it . We got a few nice events next year so by the time the year is out we should have a nice memory book.
Laska2Meryls · 15/10/2021 08:27

... It could be because I say that I also want a goat to pull it and some chickens..
( But I really would like a cart!) .. I know I could buy one anyway... 😂

Aposterhasnoname · 15/10/2021 08:32

I want a kindle, trinny london stuff, a nomination bracelet, and really nice cashmere scarf.

Haudyourwheesht · 15/10/2021 08:34

5 minutes. Just five minutes to have a cup of coffee in peace.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 15/10/2021 08:35

I know my dream list isn't happening (Lego Titanic, Hogwarts Castle and Hogwarts Icons)

My reasonable list is Lego pirate ship, or Santa's Sleigh. Book voucher. Nice walking boots.

Gardening stuff (good quality tools) , some more le creuset mugs as some of ours are chipped and as always any selection of colourful hardbacked cook books.

Solasum · 15/10/2021 08:39

Lego architecture
A gardener
Tickets to a concert
Theatre tickets
National Art Pass
Magazine subscription
Pink champagne truffles
Statement necklaces
Easy-care house plants
A mini break organised by someone else

I will get none of these things.

CallieOpie · 15/10/2021 08:41

Ooh I always enjoy these threads. First one of the season!! Thanks OP

Mine are:

A lovely new knee length trench coat

Expensive luxury hand wash that I can't justify buying as an everyday item

High top ugg boots (to be house slippers, but with an inside/outside sole so can wear out into the garden if I wish)

A gorgeous bag from Wanderers Co - not sure which one yet - too hard to choose!

BikeRunSki · 15/10/2021 08:43

This, and for somebody else to “do” Christmas

And some DM Chelsea boots

TyrannosaurusRights · 15/10/2021 08:44

Some renovation work on the house to be completed

More useful to you:

A new coin purse and small bag
Houseplants
Camera accessories
A leather jacket

Numbersarefun · 15/10/2021 08:47

I would like some new art materials and some really decent paintbrushes. Some storage for stamps and craft dies, one of those machines that cuts out shapes that you program in, some resin to play with, a new game, books, procreate and photoshop for the iPad and probably lots more!!

Mulhollandmagoo · 15/10/2021 08:48

One of those oodie things - but maybe a non branded one because the thought of paying £120 for a blanket makes me feel a bit queezy Shock

TuftyMarmoset · 15/10/2021 08:53

These earrings www.monicavinader.com/siren-stud-earring/gold-vermeil-siren-stud-earrings-moonstone
A weighted blanket
An Oodie type garment
Stackers jewellery box

I also would love a Le Creuset casserole and an ice cream maker but didn’t ask as they are too expensive especially with the other stuff. BUT I am going to Bicester village at some point and if I see a bargain casserole I may buy it on behalf of DP Xmas Grin

Laska2Meryls · 15/10/2021 08:54

Its not too much to ask , is it readingismycardio ?
A lovely little cart? Sigh... 😞

perhaps with a goat to pull it and a couple of chickens to ride in it

doodlejump1980 · 15/10/2021 08:55

Lots of ideas on this thread too.

Seasidemumma77 · 15/10/2021 09:24

I rarely spend on myself, so I've asked for cinema & theatre vouchers.

MintyCedric · 15/10/2021 09:34

A Ninja Foodi 9 in 1 (which I've already been told I'm not getting Sad...hoping to snag one on Black Friday).

Velvetiser (well Dualit equivalent...ditto)

Aromatherapy Associates goodies
Polymer clay
Resin and moulds
Pasta maker
Freestanding mixer

A week where someone else completely takes over responsibility for my elderly and increasingly high maintenance mum...sadly also highly unlikely to happen.
