I'm doing ours on 1st December as, even though it is a Wednesday, I randomly have a day off!

What about you?

The Saturday before the 1st is when our real trees are on sale near us!!

MegaClutterSlut · 22/09/2021 20:46

I normally aim for the 1st of December but as its a weekday, the weekend before Grin

OwlInATowl · 22/09/2021 20:47

My youngest's birthday is the 4th December so we always do it on the 5th, after that. The 1st feels a little early to me for some reason

felulageller · 22/09/2021 20:48

1st Saturday in December at the latest

unexpectedthird · 22/09/2021 20:49

We usually put them up 2 weekends before Christmas so it will be the 11th or 12th this year.

CiaoForNiao · 22/09/2021 20:50

The weekend after schools break up. Or a few days after that maybe.

Miliao · 22/09/2021 21:03

24th usually, before our big dinner

Mrsfussypants1 · 22/09/2021 21:04

First of December as I'm also on holiday too, I go back on the 3rd, I always take that week of work as Dec/Jan are our busy periods and I feel it all just flys by. I spend the week having a good clean, do a bit of shopping, bake, binge watch terrible festive films, wrap etc, and I do enjoy a few days at home enjoying the tree and atmosphere. In the past pur tree always went up 12 days before Christmas and came down 12 days after, but back then I had Christmas off to enjoy.

BleshRed · 22/09/2021 21:05

First Saturday of December as always

Longdistance · 22/09/2021 21:06

December 15th

BakewellGin1 · 22/09/2021 21:07

The last Sunday in November

ReginaPhalangee · 22/09/2021 21:07

Any time after halloween is fair game here. Equally, tree is usually down on 1 Jan (or sadly dead Wink)

OurChristmasMiracle · 22/09/2021 21:10

Weekend of 11/12th December. I will also wrap all presents that weekend too!

SpnBaby1967 · 22/09/2021 21:10

Usually the first weekend in december. Last year we had it up just before the end of november as I wanted them up for my 40th birthday on the 30th nov as I was having some mental health struggles and the lights make me happy.

This year, I dont know whether to do it a similar time to last year or revert to our usual dec routine. Decisions decisions

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 22/09/2021 21:12

I usually aim for December 1st. Real tree.
I will do it as soon as the place i get my tree has them!!!

Am finding myself so very eager to start Christmas this year-almost more than usual. Something to look forward to!!

TwinsandTrifle · 22/09/2021 21:12

This year, after nearly two years of this crap, we're getting bonfire night out the way, then the garlands are all going up, the windows will be dressed, pretty much everything bar the tree.

Tree itself on December 1st, which I will do with DC while DH is away for work.

fitflopqueen · 22/09/2021 21:16

Outside solar powered lights went up last year at beginning of December and they have stayed - in hope of some normality earlier in New Year and now just because its lovely to see them light up at Dusk and continue all night. Best buy of the year. The tree and house decs though just the week before Xmas.

GrumpyPanda · 22/09/2021 21:18

Morning of the 24th. We follow old-fashioned German tradition in using live candles on the holidays - a tree that's been left to dry out for all of advent doesn't seem like a terribly good idea under the circumstances!

reprehensibleme · 22/09/2021 21:19

Tomorrow.

Bearsbearsbears40 · 22/09/2021 21:19

About 12th December or the weekend closest to that, I think. I am looking forward to Christmas (hopefully all will be well Covid wise), but I like to leave my decorations up until New Year’s Day, so I don't want to go too soon. I am going to buy some nice candles and autumny bits for between now and that time though.

Bluntness100 · 22/09/2021 21:20

Mine are already up, soon as you start thinking about it and planning it, you’ve got to do it…

lachy · 22/09/2021 21:20

I'll probably put ours up on the 2nd/3rd Dec. They'll come down around Twelfth Night.

I like to have the decorations up for the Advent period.

Yup, I'm looking at sometime in November too. Probably the 1st. Xmas Grin
