Help! Teenage DD. No presents

ArthurChristmas2 · 20/11/2020 22:48

So, my lovely girl is just 15. My shopping is pretty much done apart from her. I have no presents whatsoever. She’s never asked for anything, ever. She’s not into brands. She has a phone, a laptop, kindle, new camera for birthday. She doesn’t really need any new clothes. She rarely wears jewellery. She does a lot of dance but we’ve either had to buy equipment as it was needed or she has regulation uniform. I am so clueless it’s frightening. Please hit me with your DD lists and ideas. Desperately seeking something to get her (I also have to get both sets of grandparents).

Can recommend Tisserand Aromatherapy - Sleep Better Diffuser Oil and Tisserand Aromatherapy - Total De-Stress Diffuser Oil. My 15 yo DD is a bit of a stress head and the sleep better one in her diffuser overnight sends her straight off to sleep - it smells beautiful - particularly calming as GCSEs are looming. She uses a VicTsing diffuser which has colour changing lights and it really helps her relax of an evening.

Ooo victsing diffuser is a good price. Have got one for my 15yr old. Any scents you would recommend?

I didnt even buy the sienna oodie. Just a cheaper one!

Neom oils for the diffuser are lovely, expensive but lovely.
My other DD has VicTsing diffuser and Tisserand Lavender.
For a great nighttime scent Neom Bedtime Hero is really nice.
The only Neom one I don’t like is the De-Stress.

Graphic novels (not good on Kindle)
Craft materials: ie handmade paper
Haberdashery ie sewing fabric from JL
Candle making kit
Wall hanging
Pot plant (DD had a succulent phase, and now trailers)
Fancy wall mirror (DD had one with a domed face)
Classic dvd ie Jane Eyre
And I'm going to be v old-fashioned and suggest Hamilton CD which is our all time family music and it is nice to have it in 'solid form" not just streamed

It’s a shame that 2 out of 3 of my teen dds want/need a new laptop and phone. I’d like to buy them everything on this thread!

What about a set of ? 5 smallish picture/photo frames so she can display her photos tastefully in a group on a wall, not necessarily in her bedroom. And the pins to hang them from. Ikea probably have some plain and cheap ones.

my rule of thumb for people who never ask for anything is luxury or fun or quirky versions of things i know they use and like. So someone i know who likes cooking and is always moaning about how hard it is to clean a garlic press is getting one that looks like a vampire that is basically 2 parts with internal sticky out bits that rotate to crush garlic (i really can't describe it). It's useful and it's funny and they will love it.

@Notcoolmum I bought a bundle pack of 4, which worked out to be £40 each. It allowed me to order different designs too. When they arrived I tried mine one, its lovely, warm and good quality.

Any recommendations for nice lip balms, hand creams and body sprays for stocking fillers?

@user1471539385

My ballet dancing DD loves her foot spa! Peppermint foot spray from the body shop is very popular too, but not lotion as it softens the skin, which isn’t good for pointe!

*@user1471539385* I have a dancing dd too. Which foot spa did you buy?

@Citrustree how much did you pay for the Etsy oodie if you don't mind me asking?

user1471539385 · 23/11/2020 17:32

@bendmeoverbackwards have think Revlon, but it is away at boarding school at the moment, so I can’t be sure! DD has a whole recovery kit for pointe pain! Foot rollers, medicine balls, fluffy socks... just no lotion, because hard skin is good, apparently! (Spray is fine, just nothing that softens)

Just bought these for my dd, she is great on a school day, weekends I don't see her until the afternoon so these PJ's seem appropriate ! www.missguided.co.uk/black-morning-person-pyjama-set-10186446
