please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.

Boden £10 off £30 - not sale

Thread 21 - the one where we all try to not eat all the hotel chocolat
Raindropsonrosesand · 22/11/2020 11:31

@thegirlwithkaleidoscopeeyes - I haven't tried that powder (and don't have a hot chocolate maker yet) but I can vouch for the brand. I buy Callebaut chocolate drops for baking, and they are excellent - really chocolatey

I bought DHs annual Christmas presents from Lego yesterday, only to realise that I have bought a set I also bought and gave him at the beginning of this year 🤦🏼‍♀️

I don’t want to return it because the free sets I got and the double points are worth more.

So if anyone is looking for the International Space Station set that is usually £65 I’d be happy to sell it on for £55? Only ordered yesterday so won’t be here for a couple of days yet.

@HoHoHolyMackerel

Can anyone recommend a disco ball for toddlers? Bit random! But I figured my usual toddler group christmas party will be a no go this year but don't want the kids to miss out so am planning to throw a little disco here for them (for a party of us four 😂). Cheap one obviously.....
I'm after one as well, obviously for toddler and not for me!!🕺
thaegumathteth · 22/11/2020 11:42

I know it's there somewhere but I cannot for the life of me find the referral thread - would someone link it for me PLEASE?

suneetime · 22/11/2020 11:43

@mummyof2boys30 I’ve bought my DS10 the £11.25 lava lamp from Argos. Not opened the box yet but it says it’s 36cm so normal table lamp size really.

Scout2016 · 22/11/2020 11:43

@moonbabyandthebeast thank you, I wasn't familiar with Lori. Interesting as reviews are patchy but they do look more robust. And less expensive. Definitely a contender.
Wonder why all these doll - barbie, sindy, lottie, lori - end in "e" sounds.

TheLastStarfighter · 22/11/2020 11:47

Has anyone seen any deals on big winter-themed logo sets? Gingerbread house / Winter village / Elf house?

lolarabbit · 22/11/2020 11:47

My DD has a Velvetiser and my understanding is you need chocolate that melts i.e. flakes not powder (though I'm not sure she's actually tried!). Might be worth trying Pendragon drinks that was mentioned a few threads ago as there are various flavours and different size packs. I have ordered some for daughter to try out as Hotel Chocolat ones are becoming a bit of an expensive habit 😬

20% cashback on Joules through Quidco on top of Black Friday sale

lolarabbit · 22/11/2020 11:49

Forgot the link Pendragon hot chocolate

TonMoulin · 22/11/2020 11:56

Looking for another recommendation.

we have some sort of tradition for christmas where i get some colourful, funky socks to dh and my two teens. Usually go for a box of happy socks that I split between them.

Any idea where I could find some at a discounted price?

springlike · 22/11/2020 12:06

20% cashback at M&S with Quidco just today

Sunshineskies · 22/11/2020 12:14

@BeauticianNotMagician81 I haven’t read the full thread so sorry if these ideas have been mentioned but for my teens who also love gaming, these are birthday and Xmas gifts they’ve either had or are having:
A PC each for their rooms as we only have one downstairs atm that they have to share.
Light up keyboard and mouse
New headset
Mic (they want to do streaming/YouTube)
PC Camera
(I got all these on the amazon prime day for great prices, might be worth waiting for Black Friday for any gaming stuff)
Strip lights for their rooms
Nintendo switch
iPad with drawing pencil
Mug, socks, pillow with their favourite game/character/youtubers on
Annual of fave game
A couple of board games (I got ticket to ride and telestrations)
A book
Hat, scarf, gloves
Some good quality colouring pens, sketch pencils, sketch pads
Jigsaw puzzle
Roller blades
An experience - usually a theatre trip but will probably do a trip to a theme park this year
New Backpack
Chilly’s bottle
Lockable diary

I think there are some but only if you are VIP member (on the Lego site). Smyths usually have some deals for BLACKFRIDAY on bigger Lego sets but not the Christmas sets.
ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 22/11/2020 12:44

Mountain Warehouse have a Black Friday 50% off sale here

@lolarabbit I have the Velvetiser and I use powdered chocolate in it - mainly because I got fed up with the Hotel Chocolat sachets I wanted being out of stock and/ or the discount codes they'd sent me not working! - seems to work fine (I use 30-35g each time). I'm doing a Paddy & Scott's coffee order soon for Christmas presents (they still have their 27% off coffee for Black Friday offer on) and hoping the code also works on their hot chocolate so I can add some of that for myself Grin

Sunshineskies · 22/11/2020 12:45

@Scout2016 not sure what kind of size horse you’re looking for but we got one from the ‘design a friend’ range at Argos and it was good quality and lasted well (until dd decided she’d like to ride it age six and one of its legs snapped 🙄). I just had a quick look and I think they only do a unicorn one now.

thaegumathteth · 22/11/2020 12:52

Thank you @TheSilentStars

IggyAce · 22/11/2020 12:55

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl the paddy & Scott code didn’t work for me on the hot chocolate.

BeaLola · 22/11/2020 12:56

lolarabbit re Pendragon chocolate flakes I ordered some based on an earlierthread (& I reported back on a thread)

I can really recommend & we will be buying again (DH was Shock at Hotel Chocolat price . We bought the 1kg salted caramel & rum & 1kg 50% milk versions and they are IMO really lovely. Yes we had to pay P&P but they were still really great price. When we made the drinkls in our velvetiser I did use 35g per cup.

I asked Pendragon if they would consider doing a tasting selection type box which would be great as a gift but they said at the moment they are too busy but maybe in the future ......

Carrie76 · 22/11/2020 13:03

@mummyof2boys30 yep it’s that one, haven’t opened it but based on the box size it looks the same as her brothers one which is standard size
