please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@FreshCoatOfPaint, I noticed once that the Aldi Hot Chocolate Maker said online only. When the “Out of Stock” message came up it didn’t say “Try instore” instead, so it probably only is online. Sorry not to be more definite.

@flumposie, Hurray!

Carrie76 · 22/11/2020 13:06

Has anyone seen any unusual Christmas cards on their travels? I’ve found these ones on Etsy which are fab (I’m a sea swimmer). I’d like some more different/quirky ones too, please let me know if you come across any.

catanddogmake6 · 22/11/2020 13:18

I have the Lavazza milk frother from last year’s thread. Can confirm it works with powder and with flakes. I tried it with some posh hot chocolate that was more like chips or buttons. That wasn’t very successful and gunked the machine up. It still works - you just need to melt them separately with a little boiling water and then pour the milk over.

purplepandas · 22/11/2020 13:19

@UniversalTruth sorry for delay - we've been out walking. Yes, I've still got a Lakeland code if you would like it? Can pm you straight away if you still need it .

TonMoulin · 22/11/2020 13:26

@thaegumathteth, thanks!
Why didn’t I think of amazon when I’m using it so much .?!?

TheLastStarfighter · 22/11/2020 13:42

Thanks @Lovemusic33 but just regular prices at Lego.com (I am a VIP member). Maybe there will be something on Black Friday.

balalalala · 22/11/2020 13:46

Girlonatubetrain2 · 22/11/2020 13:57

@Foggyday124 thank you for Landsend 50% off

recklessgran · 22/11/2020 14:05

Please can someone remind me of the website you all bought your ribbon from on an earlier thread. I don't normally do fancypants wrapping but I've been watching some youtube tutorials and would like to have a go at making my presents look a bit more glamorous! TIA

GymSloth · 22/11/2020 14:06

Telescope

For the posters who were looking for telescopes, I just checked and ours is a skywalker one. I can't quite work out which model we've got, but I think it's this one:
www.harpersphoto.co.uk/beginners-telescopes/skywatcher-astrolux-76mm-telescope.html

I've also noticed that Aldi are selling a telescope at the moment - no idea what it's like though!

EvilHerbivore · 22/11/2020 14:06

Thank you for the Pendragon recommendation. I think the Callebaut is ground chocolate so will melt, perhaps? Anyway, I’ve ordered both along with the Aldi dupe and will report back in January (if I remember)! Grin

xoxogossipgirl2020 · 22/11/2020 14:13

Thank you to all those who offered to look for the grinch pjs for me!! I think one of my lovely customers from my little business has found me some! Amazing!!

Next up, I’d anybody (or 4 people.....) have a spare Aldi squishmallow they want to sell then here I am.....went into hospital and missed them in store, they are now silly money on eBay and I’m gutted 😔

Also looking for red/white candy cane stripe throws like those seen in lad baby’s latest video of anybody can help with that!!!! No matter what I do this Christmas, I will feel like a failure because of the squishmallows 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

Foggyday124 · 22/11/2020 14:22

Girlonatubetrain2 you are very welcome!

UniversalTruth · 22/11/2020 14:24

@recklessgran thanks but I've used @balalalala code - thanks to both of you

Lakeland have lots of KitchenAid bits half price if anyone is looking for them (I resisted the ice cream maker, very good of me!)

SewVeryLazy · 22/11/2020 14:27

@lexloofah one year my parents wrapped everything in several layers (or boxes in boxes for some) and labelled each layer for someone different. It meant that looking under the tree in advance it looked like there wasn't anything the correct size/shape for what we were hoping for, so had all of wondering. Could be an idea to add some theatre to a gift that is physically small

lolarabbit · 22/11/2020 14:28

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl thanks for that info - I'll pass on to DD and maybe she can save some cash. I'm hopeful about the fun flavours from Pendragons though - good to hear your recommendation @BeaLola

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 22/11/2020 14:28

So I thought I was done but I've just been asked to get a bedside lamp for a 15 year old boy. Was going to give him money - £20. Any suggestions?

Mancbee · 22/11/2020 14:44

Sorry @onetwothreeadventure I can't figure out how to send it directly to you on the app so I'll add it here and hope you see it, it expires today.
