please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Smyths toys seem to have free delivery with no minimum spend. I just ordered something for under the £19 usually required and didn’t get charged postage.

@Kilpitlees thank you for the Lakeland voucher, I have used the £10 one to bag a heated throw for my always cold Dad, who always nitpicks with my always warm Mum over the heating! Problem solved Smile

@Reastie, sorry what? It only takes you twelve minutes to get the kids to bed?
Takes me about two hours!

@Oxyiz ohhh that is so lovely but it's out of stock now ! I was being stingy and wanting to stack a Black Friday deal with a code Blush

@Aurorie11 oh yes that's a good point ! I could wait but the Black Friday prices might be gone by then!

On the disco ball thing are those disco speakers that were all the rage a few years back still around? A QUICK browse suggests they are would that be suitable?

You lot have misled me! All this talk of the velvetiser I got excited thinking maybe Aldi were now doing online supermarket deliveries but apparently not?

@lexloofah DON'T do the hiding the gift in another gifts pocket! That went very wrong in my family when it WAS an iPod and the iPod ended up washed!

Boxes within boxes is good - fill the outer boxes with balloons, shredded tissue paper etc or do a pass the parcel type idea and have a stocking filler in the preceding boxes?

Or make it a treasure hunt with clues? As it's a small gift size wise should be easy to hide - Make the hiding place the last place that person would look? Like the laundry hamper or the broom cupboard if they're not much in the way of a chore person?

You could even do it they have to sing/dance/mime an answer to the clues to get the next clue?

My family are weird they're all in for this kind of thing! Dd had to phone certain relatives to thank them for her gifts from them to get the next clues one year (she is normally good about calling, not so good at remembering who got her what do this made her concentrate on that which was funny as the relatives were very much sticklers for her getting it exactly right before they'd give her the clues 😂 it was a bit like watching a live episode of a game show at points!)

Ooh! There's an idea! Maybe they have to complete tasks like you'd get in a show like the cube before they get the next clue? Eg juggle some balls for 30 secs or walk a "tightrope" (skipping rope?), or fill a bucket with water using only a cup in 1 minute, or a balloon bursting challenge or bubble wrap challenge - you get the idea.

@runningpink Have you tried the photo upload sites? They often let you do customised jigsaws although you're right about the copyright issues if you try and do with a screenshot nicked online. But if you have your own pic of the stadium you can use that or even one the intended recipient has taken? Is ibrox somewhere you could get to in order to take a quick snap? It's certainly not gonna be busy around there at the moment!

Also if it's the stadium google ibrox rather than rangers - I found loads googling that way.

New do seem to be around the £30 mark but 2nd hand (check if complete of course) can be found more cheaply.

Also you're lucky I answered that I'm the other team! Grin

@winewolfhowls lidl and aldi do chocolate spoons much cheaper..

Also re chocolate for fondue I always use Nutella or equivalent in my fondue machines - much easier to clean after too as doesn’t solidify. Perfect as long as not but allergies

I missed out on the Aldi velvetiser dupe and they're not doing them in store☹️. Will just have to go back to my original plan of a milk frother (it was for me anyway 😊)
