please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space

Name of link

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts, it's a smidge cheaper at Blackwells with free delivery. I haven't looked for any discounts, but they aren't on cash back sites, annoyingly.

littlestpogo · 22/11/2020 08:44

The lavazza jolie with milk frother someone mentioned upthread is a good deal at £64.99. I’ve got just the coffee machine and it’s a great little machine - so simple and also doesn’t take up much room. Only thing is pods not as available as nespresso.

I’m really trying to convince myself that I DO NOT need to buy another with the milk frother. I’ve always hankered after a machine in my bedroom ( weird I know but single parent and sometimes I’d just like a coffee before I get up and face the kids madness at 6 am 🤣).

OrigamiPenguinArmy · 22/11/2020 08:45

The Aldi copper hot chocolate maker is sold out in copper now, but they’ve still got stainless steel in stock. I don’t even know why I looked, I’ve got given a velvitiser last Christmas and I don’t know anyone who’d want one 😂.

recklessgran · 22/11/2020 08:47

I have a Lakeland code if anyone still needs one?
25%off at Molton Brown at the moment with code BF25 that ends tonight so wondering if something better is coming along?
£10 off £30 at Red Letter Days with code XMAS30
@Reastie I too think the mad sheep disease is the best potential thread title yet. Really made me laugh out loud and so true! Brilliant @friskybivalves!

Scout2016 · 22/11/2020 08:54

I ordered the melted snowman kit, thanks to PP who suggested it. And some other chocolatey things...

Has anyone had a Lottie Doll Pony Pals set? Reviews are mixed on the horse - some say the mane falls out.

Speaking of which, does anyone know of a mermaid doll that can actually be played with in the bath? Our barbie type horror really shouldn't and is nearly now nearly bald.

MrsDoctorDear · 22/11/2020 08:58

@Vickles20 those gloves look ideal, do they come in a box? Thinking of a couple of people who would love them for Christmas.

Autumnwoman · 22/11/2020 09:00

Does anyone know if the Aldi frother can go in the dishwasher?

Hophop26 · 22/11/2020 09:03

@Scout2016 we have quite a few of the barbie dreamtopia mermaids that live almost exclusively in the bath, no issues with their hair at all and they are just the big standard ones, often in the Argos 2for£15 etc

HoHoHolyMackerel · 22/11/2020 09:06

Can anyone recommend a disco ball for toddlers? Bit random! But I figured my usual toddler group christmas party will be a no go this year but don't want the kids to miss out so am planning to throw a little disco here for them (for a party of us four 😂). Cheap one obviously.....

Scout2016 · 22/11/2020 09:07

Thanks @Hophop26 that's good to know.

Brand alley have loads of Paul Smith Women and Mens clothes and accessories in

They have Paul Smith fairly frequently but the prices for shoes, scarfs, bags, wallets , cufflinks etc are the lowest that I have seen them

They sell quickly- you get 15 minute safe you add to bag- if you go into checkout and then back to bag it gives you another 15 minutes

You can get a £20 off through mention me- not sure if anyone's on the referral board with a code

Returns are easy

@Scout2016 Re the Lottie horses, they aren't great. We have Sirius and part of his leg fell off after a week! Such a difference in quality to all the other Lottie stuff, we have the tree house, stables and about 10 different dolls and they are fab. Just avoid the horses.

MummaPI · 22/11/2020 09:14

Did I see on here a deal for 6 issues of Gardeners World magazine for £9.99?

SpamIAm · 22/11/2020 09:16

@JoeWicksSurvivor The trick is to set individual budgets higher than you'll spend so at the end you can say "look, I came in under budget, yay me!"

sugarplumfairy2010 · 22/11/2020 09:17

Looking for a cheap mini fridge for my 10 Yr old to keep cans of pop in his room. Thankyou x

sorryiasked · 22/11/2020 09:22

Can anyone recommend a card holder that will hang over/on a door. It's for an elderly relative and I've found lots but all have crap reviews about larger cards falling out, or not being able to close the door when the hanger is in place.

MsMiaWallace · 22/11/2020 09:24

Does anyone know what the actual difference is between the Aldi hot chocolate maker & the milk frother?? Apart from the obvious looks?

I was just wondering if your paying double for the Velvetiser looks.

Puffincrossing · 22/11/2020 09:29

I live these threads but never have anything to contribute. I've got an Aldi Velvetiser this morning for my mum.

*WONDERBLY Have 25% off with BLACKFRIDAY code. I've just bought a 'Where's Wally?' style book but with my ds in it, which I think he'll love.

livingthegoodlife · 22/11/2020 09:29

@HoHoHolyMackerel the vtech kiddi disco thing is good. It shines and moves the lights on top like a disco ball, it also plays music. It can be used as a speaker for your own music too. Plus it has party games pre set on it.

I paid £25 last year and it's been good fun, especially for lockdown discos!

lexloofah · 22/11/2020 09:30

@22Giraffes thx for spotting guinea pig tree decs I have been looking for some for DD. If you happen to be looking for other cage adornment can vouch for these cute little wooden signs from Red Ocean which has free p&p, no minimum spend.

Anyone looking for hampers or to treat themselves as we are doing Bath Cheese are offering free delivery on orders over £25.

I saw all the great suggestions above for making a gift of cash look interesting, any ideas for gifting iPods? We have bought for DS as his big present but it is such a small box, wanted to milk it a little bit as he doesn't have loads to open. I thought of a box within a box or putting wrapped box in pocket of dressing gown he is also getting but wondered what other iPod gifters have come up with?

Scout2016 · 22/11/2020 09:32

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile oh no! Thanks for confirming it but oh no!

In that case still hunting for a horse toy for a 3 year old. They seemed to be the toy equivalent of wedding merchandise, anything horse related is so expensive!

lexloofah · 22/11/2020 09:32

Oops forgot Bath Soft Cheese link

CupoTeap · 22/11/2020 09:33

Does anyone have a recommendation for LED lights that link to Alexa?

lexloofah · 22/11/2020 09:33

Ffs AirPods not iPods!

TheCrow · 22/11/2020 09:42

Thanks to whoever posted about the Aldi velvetiser dupe, managed to order the copper one this morning, going to be my main present from my parents 🙂
