please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Paddy and Scott’s coffee have 27% off with the code BARGAIN

Graphista · 22/11/2020 07:25

@Squ1ggle I'm not good at the tech stuff as my dd not into all that but is this what you're looking for?

www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/video-games-and-tablets/nintendo-switch/nintendo-switch-accessories/nintendo-switch-jc-20-controller/p/184801?utmsource=google&utmmedium=organic&utmcampaign=surfacesacrossgoogle&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIZid75SU7QIVzO5RCh0xvwPPEAQYAyABEgLnEvD_BwE

@Foggyday124 happy to help

@WisestIsShe I agree it's all well and good certain mners criticising amazon and similar for their ethics (and I do get they leave a lot to be desired) but the fact is the bigger more experienced online retailers are generally easier to use and more reliable. I'm housebound and have ocd I NEED my deliveries to be reliable and happen a certain way. When I'm not housebound I'm more than happy to use small independent retailers but for online deliveries the big hitters are reassuringly good.

@LutherRalph1 what do you mean by printed? Made as in drawn/painted? If so could you screenshot and have as a photo? If so you could upload to funky pigeon on their app (there are "Male your own" options where your whole photo is the card) and I have a discount code

funky pigeon 25% off with CARD25

I'm hoping not account specific I don't think it is

Can't speak as to quality as my first time using them too I did a calendar for one of my recipients

@Autumnwoman I googled '"erasable" felt tip pens' and found a fair few including

www.theonlinepencompany.com/pilot-frixion-colors-erasable-fibre-tip-pen-assorted-pack-of-12?cur=gbp&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgqiNxZmU7QIVF4bVCh1mDgZJEAQYBCABEgIWJPD_BwE

But there's loads on places like amazon too

Very annoying when companies don't remove out of stock items from their sites - basic "housekeeping" to have your site set up to monitor stock levels

@EndlessWaffle on the beauty advent calendar thread people are having a lot of issues with delayed deliveries from looks fantastic

What is the chance of going bust?
I personally wouldn't buy any gift vouches this year- look at the number of restaurants who collapsed in the past 24 months
that's what's put me off even asking for vouchers myself this year. I normally ask for Argos vouchers as I do use them but I reckon they're next to go in next 6-12 months certainly.

In recent years we've seen huge high street companies go under, Woolworths was the first big one I remember but also bhs, toysrus, Maplin, I've been housebound for a few years now and from double checking which were more recent I've learned Poundworld has gone which I didn't know.

I remember a relative getting badly stung when that farepak went under too and that put me off using that kind of company.

@littlestpogo haha no I just have too much time on my hands and it bugs me if I can't find stuff!

On that note can you guys help me find a piece of wall art? Needs to be tall (1.5m Ish) and narrow (about 0.25m) preferably either a light fabric or a poster - it's a vague idea at this stage

Chailatte20 · 22/11/2020 07:25

@Dolphintrainer

Does anyone know if M&S may issue any shareable codes shortly? I’m not a card holder and have £70 in my basket.
They often issue money off vouchers at the till so if you go to m&s and buy milk etc you'll probably get a discount voucher.
Oxyiz · 22/11/2020 07:27

@fogginghell there's one on heavy discount in the black friday sale?

Someaddedsugar · 22/11/2020 07:29

Has anyone seen a wicker tree skirt as cheap as the £7.99 one I've missed out on at Aldi? I won't get a chance to go until later in the week so doubt they'll have one in store by that point.

myhobbyisouting · 22/11/2020 07:31

The vevetiser dupe is on there now I see. Not being sheepish 🐑

friskybivalves · 22/11/2020 07:36

@myhobbyisouting I had a terrible onset of mad sheep disease at 6am and bought two. BlushShock I'm thinking I will send at least one back!

reallydoihaveto · 22/11/2020 07:37

Thanks so much Scrambledbeans for the heads up on the Lottie treehouse- that’s a great price.

I’ve also been a sheep on the Aldi hot chocolate...

myhobbyisouting · 22/11/2020 07:42

@friskybivalves 🤣🤣

runningpink · 22/11/2020 07:47

Ah I can’t do click and collect for my Ikea tree as it’s only the stores which are closed.

If anyone happens to be going to the Edinburgh store would you mind checking what time they are selling the trees until?
I know the store is open until 8pm but not sure if that will include tree sales.

I have tried to find info online but no luck

IggyAce · 22/11/2020 07:47

mashpot · 22/11/2020 07:48

With the hot choc maker, do you have to grate real chocolate or can you just use powder, does anyone know? Can’t decide if I need to jump on this bandwagon!

Squ1ggle · 22/11/2020 07:48

@Graphista that's the sort of thing but u think the official Nintendo ones are a slightly different shape. I'll check with DH if these will work when he gets up. Thanks

Aurorie11 · 22/11/2020 07:57

@fogginghell if you can wait until your order arrives they should send you codes with it

thelegohooverer · 22/11/2020 08:00

Bare minerals have a free 4 piece gift for spend over £60 with code CYBERWEEK

NOTHS have 30% off selected women’s gifts

NEOM have a free set of 4 hand balm worth £32 with a spend of £45 using code BALM. I’m thinking they could be nice stocking fillers or small teacher gifts.

thelegohooverer · 22/11/2020 08:02

@Reastie and @friskybivalves I nominate a terrible onset of mad sheep disease for the next thread title 😂😂😂

princessbear80 · 22/11/2020 08:13

mad sheep disease 😂😂😂

bookish83 · 22/11/2020 08:14

@silky86

For those with velvitiser's - I have a milk frother (not tried yet with hot chocolate) do you think the Aldi dupe velvitiser will be worth buying for my son who loves hot chocolate?? Also if you want hot chocolate powder, I would definitely recommend slatterys a local shop to me slattery.co.uk/products/hot-chocolate-milk
Totally forgot about there! Thank you 😃

I believe you can make hot choc in milk frothers when I researched online but didn't check about the aldi one.

I'd probably go for the dupe velvetiser if that is what you will mainly make!

Kilpitlees · 22/11/2020 08:23

Hopefully there are some Lakeland voucher codes attached!
The red voucher is £5 off £30 spend and the blue voucher is £10 off £50 spend.

River Island 20% off and free shipping. Use code Wonder

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 22/11/2020 08:25

Thank you to whoever recommended jeremys home store for jellycat. I managed to get the sloth I wanted for the same price as it was in the JL sale but it was in stock and free delivery (this didn’t actually save me any money because I decided to buy an octopus but I’m happy Grin)

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 22/11/2020 08:32

Is £5 off a £30 spend the best whsmith discount at the moment? I wanted a book set from there for dd1 and its the cheapest I've found so far. (The box set is five nights at freddys fazbear frights 4 book set £25.56)

JoeWicksSurvivor · 22/11/2020 08:37

Best bargain so far ... GIFT TRACKING APP.

With all these bargains it is easy to lose control and forget what has been ordered or hidden away. It is helping to keep a lid on my spending as it shows how much I’ve spent on each person and the total (yikes!)

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 22/11/2020 08:38

I'm a sheep I went for the dupe velvetiser for ds3 he loves hot chocolate and I'll probably get some of the hotel chocolat hot choc powder for it
