Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Thank you @Chocoholicmumma I will check the dates tomorrow!

Bryna · 11/11/2020 22:43

@BeaLola I'd second Salt Lamps, we have one with a dimmer switch too, it takes a standard oven bulb, so as you can imagine not too bright, ours is left on most of the day and is never hot to the touch

SpamIAm · 11/11/2020 22:56

@Icantfindanewname congratulations :) I work in a cancer centre (nothing to do with cancer treatment though) and the bell-ringing always gets me 😭

TheCrow · 11/11/2020 22:58

@pinkdaydreams there's some fibre optic and light wands etc for a couple of quid on eBay. Also there's a thing called an energy stick which lights up when a person touches both ends which are pretty cool

@Icantfindanewname

A few weeks / threads ago I asked you lovely lot about gifts for the chemotherapy day unit staff to have when I finished treatment. Well today I rang the bell then gave the gifts to some happy nursing staff (together with a thank you card).

Keep the Christmas bargains coming folks, I need to get all the shopping done before /during radiotherapy, so definitely all online!

Congratulations Thanks

Congratulations @Icantfindanewname - fantastic news!

And I haven't had an email about the bakery kits either @myhobbyisouting - perhaps it was sets sent out within a certain timeframe? I shall check the batch number from @Chocoholicmumma tomorrow though.

ButtonMoonLoon · 12/11/2020 00:11

Ok so here’s a challenge for you all

What do you buy the man who literally has everything?
Likes red wine. Likes food, cycling, running.

I’m really stuck

Maranello · 12/11/2020 00:18

Elemis 3 for 2 at Look Fantastic plus an extra 10% off with code SINGLES10.

There's also a free Elemis gift set if you spend over £85.

I wasn't spending that much so instead went to Mankind, which also has Elemis on 3 for 2 but with an extra 15% off with code ELEMIS15

Congratulations @Icantfindanewname and good luck for your radiotherapy.
Tiggles · 12/11/2020 00:23

Pendragon hot chocolate is lovely. And you would be supporting a small independent shop too.

wibdib · 12/11/2020 00:56

Congratulations @Icantfindanewname - that’s great news - and great to see on the bargain threads Xmas GrinFlowers

@ButtonMoonLoon are there any big rides that your dh has done that he particularly loved or more generic races/rides that he loves? There are some people that do amazing artwork personalised with your own route/ride/times/altitudes etc on or for the classic things like Tour de France etc.

F1 has all sorts of stuff from art to T-shirt’s to coasters etc with different circuits on - might be equivalent for cycle fanatics? Worth a look if he would be into it...

Belt made from recycled bicycle inner tube

Online red wine session/party from a nice wine shop - se real seem to do them where they send out wine and instructions in advance and you join in at the right time on zoom etc. If he has other mates that you can also gift similar to (or get their partner to or just get them to do their own) so he’ll also have mates to drink along with.

HoHoHolyMackerel · 12/11/2020 01:13
