Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Thanks @WillSantaBeComingToTown, good call!

ASkyPaintedGold · 11/11/2020 20:16

@MrsDoctorDear (Anne Blythe by any chance?!) Six?! Ooh, I am jealous...I haven't got a dressing gown yet. Just a kimono, two throwovers and a duster...So far... You are a terrible influence 😂
Ah, yes - I had heard of Within Reason, thank you for reminding me! They've never had the ones I wanted in stock at the right time, unfortunately. Sue Parkinson are pretty good, too - sales on the bags etc and the fastest delivery ever. They're all too pretty and I've got Birthday money burning a hole in my pocket!

Scrambledbeans · 11/11/2020 20:18

@Fueledwithfairydustandgin congrats! The giraffe went to £26 just before Christmas a couple of years ago an i nabbed one. Still going strong!

Notlongnow1 · 11/11/2020 20:20

Re the paw patrol soft toys, I know what you're saying about the TY ones being weird looking but if you're talking about the 'Teeny TY' type you may actually find them perfect for what you're after as they are a lovely size to hold in palm of hand.

Fuckingfuckssake · 11/11/2020 20:23
@Fuckingfuckssake you are an evil genius!!! (In a good way Wink). Typo stuff now ordered and the extra unwanted items will be returned.
It's been said before Wink

greyinganddecaying · 11/11/2020 20:24

@KillZill

So, I thought I was done but then DTs have developed an affinity for Paw Patrol.

I'm after any deals on soft toys.

They are being exchanged for Father Christmas taking dummies to all the babies so need to be suitable for sleep - no talking buttons etc.

Anyone know anywhere I can try?
Build a bear is out of stock, the beanie baby ones are a bit weird looking and the usual toy shops are a currently a bit above budget.

If it doesn't have to be toys, I saw some paw patrol slippers in Sainsbury's today.

Notlongnow1 · 11/11/2020 20:28

Oh no! Just seen email about superfood bakery. Will check date. I was surprised at the word 'rancid' but as pp said it sounds like one complaint so I will give it a go!

thaegumathteth · 11/11/2020 20:29

@queenoftheglee I didn't think there were any football related gadgets I haven't seen before - thank you ! Just ordered one for ds.

Fuckingfuckssake · 11/11/2020 20:46

Thank you for the H&M info, it they're not doing a student discount does anyone know of any discount codes floating about? I'm already a member, I cannot possibly bring myself to pay full price.

TheGirlWhoLived · 11/11/2020 20:47

@BadgerFace i always get decent branded socks from tk maxx, they must have some wool ones I’d imagine for a bargain!

TheLastStarfighter · 11/11/2020 20:48

@XmasLockdown thanks for the Green and Blacks Tesco’s heads-up. Just had 4 of the tasting packs delivered with my groceries and put away in the Xmas cupboard.

PatchworkElmer · 11/11/2020 20:54

Just an FYI for those who have ordered Green & Blacks from Tesco- ours has arrived tonight, and we were charged £11, instead of £5.50. I’ve just called and they’re refunding us the overcharge, but definitely double check your invoices. I’d also ordered a Cadbury selection box which came under the Clubcard discount with no issues.

TimeToCloseTheDoor · 11/11/2020 20:58

Sorry if already mentioned, I’m not up to date on the thread:

Okay this is a long shot but if anyone can help it's you guys!

I'm on the look out for Nike Air force 1 in black, everytime I find a discount code they seem to be excluded. 😬

I also am trying to find the fantastic beasts magizoologist case cheaper than £20.

If any one knows where or has any suggestions then please help!

Just come back from Asda, some good bargains in George. I've bought a Pokemon and Minecraft Christmas jumper, Grinch pyjamas and packs of 5 kids Christmas socks for £3.

Lots of gaming themed pyjamas, t shirts, sweatshirts and onesies if that's of use to any of you.

ritzbiscuits · 11/11/2020 21:13

@KillZill B&M is good for Paw Patrol stuff. I bought a decent sized Marshall toy for £10, but it was a couple of years ago. Definitely worth a look if there is one near you.

SpamIAm · 11/11/2020 21:17

@PinkDaydreams I've just been looking at these star wands - it's where our Baby Sensory woman buys hers from. Looks like there's a £1.99 delivery option.

sorryiasked · 11/11/2020 21:27

@shash1982 2p under budget here!

SleeptightDaisy · 11/11/2020 21:32

@BadgerFace dh is always after socks with a high wool content and found some in Aldi this weekend £2.99 a pair.

SomethingInTheWaySheCooks · 11/11/2020 21:34

Re the cake mix, I didn’t get the impression that it was only one box that was rancid. The email says one customer complained and they looked in to it and found that part of the batch was rancid. So presumably that could mean a good few boxes were affected? I think I’ll just bin it - I am not eating rancid cake mix, even if it is a bargain! 😂

bookish83 · 11/11/2020 21:37

@PinkDaydreams

I don't suppose anyone has seen any fibre optic wands/sticks or light up stick toys please? Sorry awful description! Looked on Amazon but either rubbish reviews or very expensive. For my three year old autistic son. Thank you! :)
The works have one for £2. It is like a big light sabre/glow stick? Perhaps 1/2 metre long.

The4ks · 11/11/2020 21:45

Pinky, home bargains have brilliant light up things just now. 1.49 and 1.99.

Christmas themed ones and my autistic sons favourite, a spinning light up wand. Bit like a windmill.

Autumnwoman · 11/11/2020 21:45

I just signed up for a Baked In subscription, using code BONUSBOOK for a free £15 recipe book

I stacked this with Quidco Cashback, which gave me £7ish back on a £90 subscription.

I've also put my referral code on the referral thread, which would get you an extra £5 off.

They have said they are not dropping prices before Xmas and you can get an Xmas subscription arriving 14 December instead of starting the subscription now.

It will be the big present from Santa for us - when he normally might get us panto tickets - something to encourage some family time.
