Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Do not sign up with treasure truck unless you are prepared to receive a phone call every day at 9am (with a text message) for 3 years and have no way to stop it
Strange. I love treasure truck, some brilliant bargains. Have never had 1 single phone call

uniqlo · 11/11/2020 12:24

Holland and Barrett have an extra 22% off everything today (on spends of over £22) with the code SINGLESDAY

Madonnawiththebigboobies · 11/11/2020 12:27

I have just got back from my nectar double up . I managed to get 15 bottle of wine for £50 worth of points . Some of the ttd wine was on offer which I didn't think would be . My sainsburys wasn't very busy , the checkout lady said it was when they opened , I went at 9.30 am .

VividImagination · 11/11/2020 12:33

@FireflyGirl I have pm’d you.

WoahBodyforrrm · 11/11/2020 12:34

Does anyone know if Selfridges do any Black Friday deals. In particular, I’m angling for free delivery 🤞🏼 not much to ask me thinks 😁

They usually have 20% a wide range of stuff with amex?
ASkyPaintedGold · 11/11/2020 12:48

I'm not sure if anyone has already mentioned this:

One Hundred Stars are offering three RHS gowns for £175, a saving of £50
onehundredstars.co.uk

I know, it's very much on the pricy side, but...they are so gorgeous! So, if you wanted one for yourself and a couple for presents, it would be a good deal. (Or, if you wanted three for yourself of course...) I love their stuff and have a burgeoning collection of their kimonos, so I'm trying to sit on my hands to stop myself ordering!

NoWordForFluffy · 11/11/2020 12:50

No Treasure Truck calls here either.

I'm Doubling Up this afternoon. I have a long list!

mammyaroundmadness · 11/11/2020 12:55

I really want to get my kids some nice fluffy Xmas sacks. Can anyone advise where I might get some please?

aw93 · 11/11/2020 13:00

@Fuckingfuckssake H&M don't seem to be doing a student discount anymore for some reason

buckeejit · 11/11/2020 13:03

Been to Sainsburys for £100 of free wine & champagne, whoop whoop!

I wish dh had a separate account as I've another £40 of points that I'd like to convert

When the 25% was on we tried the Chateaux Bouysses which is rather lovely so got a few of those.

Dithering over throw burrito as suspect we have enough games

Howmanysleepsnow · 11/11/2020 13:05

@BalaamsAss this is the one DS has. I’ve taken a photo of the inside (filled with cans of Monster!) so you can see size. It’s very quiet so good for a bedroom. It was £54 when I bought it in summer so may go down again on Black Friday.

I bought one last year when mentioned on here and sent them back. It arrived crumpled and wrinkled beyond belief which didn't bode well for wearing it and I thought it was a really cheap fabric. But maybe I chose poorly .

I did think afterwards that all the people saying how great they are were on here (there were a lot of mentions in a very short time) were probably paid to post which pissed me off further as it was pretty rubbish.

It was this one

One Hundred Stars KEW Passion Flower Grey Duster Coat

ASkyPaintedGold · 11/11/2020 13:18

@WillSantaBeComingToTown - I promise I'm not a paid stooge! (although, I imagine they would all say that anyway, wouldn't they?)

That's such a shame about your experience - I definitely agree that they arrive with creased in folds, but that's only because of folding them to post them out I'd imagine. The throwovers and Kimonos are quite thin and floaty, but that's what I like about them for summer. I'm surprised you didn't like the duster - I just bought the thistle duster and I so love it. Feels very silky and 'Bloomsbury' iykwim?

I've got the stork throwover (which I altered to fit length wise) the kiwi charcoal throwover, the great wave kimono and the thistle duster...and my eyes on more, I'm really hoping for a black Friday deal. So, my experience has been positive, but I appreciate they're not everyone's cup of tea.

gaggiagirl · 11/11/2020 13:18

BalaamsAss those things that you mentioned sound very gifty, thats what I was saying to the lady at the checkout but the till kept saying no. I asked if advent calendars were included the double up and she said so as it's classed as grocery. It wasn't all that clear to me but no matter money went on another cast iron pan instead!

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 11/11/2020 13:19

I'm wondering if anyone has seen these sort of pens cheaper anywhere. They're £20 on Amazon. I know DD would love them but at this stage I'm only looking for stocking fillers so 20 quid is a lot for that!

Has anyone seen Coconut Toblerone in store anywhere? Have looked online and seems very expensive.

TheDrsDocMartens · 11/11/2020 13:37

What’s the treasure truck?

OrigamiPenguinArmy · 11/11/2020 13:51

I’m just back from doing our Sainsbury’s double up shop. We had £50 doubled up to £100, DH doesn’t drink and I don’t drink wine so we just bought gifts. Two pairs Christmas pjs and a jumper for DD, books, including the new Nigella one for my mum, scented candles, fluffy socks and a couple of card game type things for stocking fillers. Very pleased with our haul 😊.

pigeonorstatue · 11/11/2020 13:52

Has anyone got any argos codes please?

Or failing that any background info on argos codes, when/if they do them etc.

Thanks in advance
