Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@livingthegoodlife I think the barbie campervan is usually on offer black Friday on amazon. I got it for under £45 last year but I'm sure someone on the bargain thread had mentioned it had been a similar price the year before so I think it will be reduced again at some point.

JuiceyBetty · 11/11/2020 13:56

@InDreamland

ASOS 20% off everything with code GETWITHASOS for Singles Day (I never knew there was a singles day)
Thanks just treated myself to some new clothes! Was going to wait for Black Friday but ah well.
livingthegoodlife · 11/11/2020 14:00

Thanks @Asj0405 I've ordered the Dream house but delivery is long - up to 9th January so I need to keep an eye out for something else "big" Barbie in case that's not here in time! Pressure!

She's having a Barbie themed birthday this weekend. I'm in the throes of baking a Barbie cake as I type 🙈

Baileyscoffeeandcampfires · 11/11/2020 14:09

Just wanted to say thanks fir the drop store link . Really pleased with the gin ordered and well packaged .

Considering ditching my craft gin club subscription and just ordering from them every other month

CamdenLurker · 11/11/2020 14:23

@WoahBodyforrrm

Does anyone know if Selfridges do any Black Friday deals. In particular, I’m angling for free delivery 🤞🏼 not much to ask me thinks 😁
@WillSantaBeComingToTown - I promise I'm not a paid stooge! (although, I imagine they would all say that anyway, wouldn't they?)

That's such a shame about your experience - I definitely agree that they arrive with creased in folds, but that's only because of folding them to post them out I'd imagine. The throwovers and Kimonos are quite thin and floaty, but that's what I like about them for summer. I'm surprised you didn't like the duster - I just bought the thistle duster and I so love it. Feels very silky and 'Bloomsbury' iykwim?

I've got the stork throwover (which I altered to fit length wise) the kiwi charcoal throwover, the great wave kimono and the thistle duster...and my eyes on more, I'm really hoping for a black Friday deal. So, my experience has been positive, but I appreciate they're not everyone's cup of tea.
I have a liberty one bought in the sale for £80 but I had a £30 voucher and it is beautiful. It is actually a mens dressing gown

@LifeInAHamsterWheel

I'm wondering if anyone has seen these sort of pens cheaper anywhere. They're £20 on Amazon. I know DD would love them but at this stage I'm only looking for stocking fillers so 20 quid is a lot for that!
I got mine for £10 on Amazon last week x
mummyof2boys30 · 11/11/2020 14:28

I got 4 books and an orchard shopping list game in sainsbury's. Delighted as all on my list. I need to save my points next year as i had started using them on groceries

SpamIAm · 11/11/2020 14:29

Ugh, so Lisa Angel have finally conceded that my parcel is gone forever so I need another gift for my mum. I've got her some Sanctuary stuff and coffee, had ordered a nice necklace from Lisa Angel which was a bargain at £7. Don't know what I'm going to get her now 😭

Howmanysleepsnow · 11/11/2020 14:34

@WoahBodyforrrm I seem to remember selfridges had 20% off last Black Friday. I bought DH’s aftershave there.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 11/11/2020 14:40

@CompleteBarstool

Has anyone bought or know anything about storm glasses/weather globes (picture attached of the sort of thing I mean).

I've seen lots in the £20-30 price bracket but dont know if the cheap ones are rubbish (or, in fact, if they're all rubbish and do nothing!!)

I thought they'd make a good present for FIL if they work

I bought one for my son last year from Amazon - it’s absolutely tiny and always looks the same!

They usually have 20% off for amex card holders starting a few days before and then 20% off for everyone

They used to have rimowa suitcases --everything but more has been excluded in recent years

They online site is poor- lots of stuff not arriving as out of stock etc. It will be interesting to see what they do this year

On the plus side I once ordered an item which arrived. The same day 2 pairs of UGG boots arrived- 1 in a box and I not. They had my name on but no delivery invoice inside. I called them and they said to keep them. One was my DD size and I sold the other pair on eBay for £120.

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 11/11/2020 14:49

@spamIam not sure what kind of style you're after, but have a look at The Woodland Gift Company. They have some nice very reasonable necklaces etc that come beautifully packaged.

Bsgetty · 11/11/2020 14:50

@LifeInAHamsterWheel
Just checked out those double outline pens on Camelcamelcamel - looks like they were £12 until a week ago, so it’s probably worth holding on to see if they drop back down again.

thaegumathteth · 11/11/2020 14:54

@LifeInAHamsterWheel I also got those type of pens on Amazon recently - think I paid £10.98?

Nooproblemoo · 11/11/2020 14:55

I received my drop store order today, ordered last week. Got a free sample bottle of gin too. Thanks to all who mentioned it. The bundles are great.

Bellevu · 11/11/2020 15:07

My Vodafone pictures arrived today. They are brilliant presents.

Clementine8 · 11/11/2020 15:09

@youhavebrainsinyourhead thanks for posting the matalan code, it had gone by the time i got to it. If anyone else has one my basket has about £150 🙈 so it would be very much appreciated.

Asj0405 · 11/11/2020 15:18

@livingthegoodlife no problem, If the dream house is from amazon I wouldn't worry too much. I've had a few orders like that where its been a long lead time, they often revise it and send it our much sooner so hopefully you will still end up with it in time for Christmas. Have fun with the cake! Smile

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 11/11/2020 15:25

Thanks for the heads-up on the pens I'll hold off until Black Friday hopefully they'll come down in price again.

lexloofah · 11/11/2020 15:36

10% off turtle doves code Welcome3579, emailed to me as a registered 'friend of' so not sure if it is personal or single use

Restlessinthenorth · 11/11/2020 15:54

@LifeInAHamsterWheel I came across these....any good?

Kittywampus · 11/11/2020 16:07

@LifeInAHamsterWheel we bought some similar pens from AliExpress for quite a lot cheaper. I think you can also find them on ebay. Search for 'outline pens' or 'double line pens'.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 11/11/2020 16:13

@SpamIAm Buckley London have some lovely costume jewellery - I've posted links to their Fiver Friday and Tenner Tuesday sales recently, but they have some other pieces reduced too, such as this spinning heart necklace

Has anyone ever tried Black Cow vodka? Still looking for a present for SIL and this one has good reviews on Amazon. If you sign up directly you get 15% off your first order and free shipping on orders over £15 but it would be nice to hear from a happy customer before I place an order!

OrigamiPenguinArmy · 11/11/2020 16:18

Has anyone got any good recommendations for a matching apron and oven glove set? It doesn’t need to be a bargain, just good quality. It’s one of the few things my mum has asked for.
