Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Hi all - I'm looking for some small trees/twig trees with lights on - mains powered if possible. Just want some cheery lights up while we wait for Christmas!

herecomesthsun · 10/11/2020 20:52

@Puffalicious

Aldi yesterday. Their PJs wash brilliantly, are organic cotton and are a fiver! They wash as well as John Lewis, Mark's and better than White Company, I know as DS3 got all of these brands at the same time last year.

Also great bits for stockings - ski hats and gloves £3 and socks £2 (brilliant for extras in the charity presents my work organises) and their recyclable wrapping paper is good quality and 2 lovely patterns.

Many thanks to people posting about Aldi, we are expecting some lovely Christmas lights and warm clothes now.

Does anyone know if the new Fitbit Versa is likely to be reduced on Black Friday? It's DP's birthday next weekend and that's what he's asked for, however has said he's happy to wait if it's going to be reduced...

Givealittlebit · 10/11/2020 21:00

Ooh I've been eyeing up space masks for ages and totally forgot about them! Got to drop hints for the family SS now, thanks!

Miathecat · 10/11/2020 21:04

Looking for any Disney store discounts thought I was past Disney but seen the perfect gift for my teens!

BunnyBerries · 10/11/2020 21:07

Tesco are doing the Twinings Swiss hot chocolate for £2.50 (down from £4) for Clubcard members! It's so nice, worth trying it out especially if you have a Lavazzo milk frother or Velvetiser, or a welcome Xmas hamper inclusion.

Gooseysgirl · 10/11/2020 21:09

Boden 25% off with code V2E1. Used the discount plus birthday £10 voucher that they sent me, to get a new coat for DS. It can be handy having an 'online' birthday at this time of year Wink

PepsiLola · 10/11/2020 21:14

Not sure if this is anyone's cup of tea but I've just been emailed this offer.

30% off tomorrow and and extra 10% with a code (see pik)

I have this ornament and I love it fourline.design/collections/figurines/products/summer-girl

Just bought a load of stuff from Typo that I don’t really need 😬 the notebooks were to cheap to not buy.

InDreamland · 10/11/2020 21:21

@MrsDoctorDear thanks for the info. That's interesting. I'll look into the cloud nine ones too then. I love my GHDs but they are old. Are the "original" ones on sale now then different to the old ones? If they're original I'd have thought they'd not change them.

@bookish83 thanks for your info too. Looks like 2 votes for cloud nine. I'll look out for an ASOS code too as 20% off would be awesome.

@Mahonia fantastic, thanks, that's really good to know, I had no idea! I bought some Chanel perfume from them last week and this week they're out of stock but also reduced ..........

Just a warning with the Aldi clothes - although they wash well I've found I need to order a size up for the kids. My kids are usually their age size if that makes sense but not in Aldi. I needed 9-10 for a just 8 year old

gaggiagirl · 10/11/2020 21:38

@Someaddedsugar I would wait for the versa til black Friday. I got mine last black Friday from Amazon although Argos had the same price for it. I saved quite a bit. Amazon will definitely have it on their deals.

Someaddedsugar · 10/11/2020 21:40

Amazing thanks @gaggiagirl . I do feel a bit bad he won't have much to open but it does seem a bit daft buying something that might have a good discount 6 days later!

InDreamland · 10/11/2020 21:48

@Mahonia I just looked again and it's back to normal price. I can't remember what the discount was now but was definitely cheaper, think it was 10% off but really can't be totally sure.

thelegohooverer · 10/11/2020 21:51

@CatelynStark thanks for the space masks info.
@Bezzi they’re eye masks that warm up Smile

Autumnwoman · 10/11/2020 21:55

Thank you for the Typo tip!

Anyone who ordered the magazine subscription with the Molton Brown gift card - have you received the gift card yet? I'm still waiting.

Blue Butterfly Designs are offering 4 of their stone coasters for £15 (includes free postage).

Katie runs a fantastic business and I've bought several things from her over the years (might just have treated myself to some new bits-oops!). I can really recommend both the quality and the durability, as well as helping a local business. Never done a link before so I hope it works...

Restlessinthenorth · 10/11/2020 22:03

Following on from all your fab marmalade suggestions, can anyone suggest me a lime pickle that isn't a standard one you see on the supermarket shelves? my DP positively loves the stuff and I'd like to get him one he hasn't tried for his stocking

Ashmonster · 10/11/2020 22:05

Sorry, I should have said the discount code is CHRISTMAS.
Although there's loads to choose from on the website, if you fancy something in a different format thats not there, Katie is very helpful in trying to get things just right for you.

sorryiasked · 10/11/2020 22:06
